Alexander sat in the recliner of his home, going through some of the papers that had been handed to him by one of the scientists that had brought the android Lucy to the academy, whom he was now responsible for. He had gone through the paperwork a couple times already, but he wanted to have memorized in case something came up. The problem was that he wasn't a rocket scientist, he was a huntsman who specialized in tracking down targets, be they humanoid or Grimm, and then eliminating them. "Ugh. I'm not grasping this stuff." Alex groaned as he put the paperwork back into the folder his was given, walked over to a nearby safe, and locked the paperwork in there to look at later. He needed someone who understood android better then he did, and there was a new professor that specialized in androids. However Alex wasn't sure if he could trust him yet, so he was going to have to interact with the guy some before he showed him the paper work and asked him for his help with Lucy.

As Alex sat down he glanced over his shoulder at the room that had become Lucy's room until a room that truly fit her needs was finished in the dorms. The situation was a difficult one to say the least. Some control freak was black mailing Alex to protect Lucy, however the strange thing was that Alex would've protected her anyways so he was less mad and more perplexed. Either way though Alex intended to watch over the young woman, however He thought she needed to get out a little bit more and interact with more the just himself. However simply sending her out on her own would only result in disaster... he found that out on day one when she slammed into the door frame of his classroom.

After thinking for a while Alex realized that something that she might do is help the academy gardener tend to some of his plants, though Alex would have to accompany her. That didn't bother him though, since he liked gardening... he just hoped that Lucy didn't have any issues with dirt.

Alex glanced at his watch, and saw that Lucy would be getting up soon. Now it was just a matter of waiting.

Lucy opened her eyes and quickly sat up. She looked around and immediately went into a bit of a panic: she had no idea where she was! She took a breath and a moment, and after analyzing her surroundings she recalled her location: this was a spare bedroom in Mr. Davis's house. He had been so kind to allow her to stay at his home while her dorm was being arranged, which was apparently taking awhile as this was her fourth night staying here.

Lucy got up and walked over to the large wardrobe and opened it. It actually had some built-in drawers, which she opened and pulled out fresh undergarments. Then, she grabbed stockings and a new dress that was destined for gardening, which is what Mr. Davis had planned for them this morning. She moved to the restroom and prepped herself for a brief shower, and after said shower and drying off, she folded her white nightgown and set it aside atop a shelf in the bathroom, then dressed herself up and walked out. As she walked towards the living room, she retrieved a pair if green gloves made for working with botanical objects and she placed on a cute littler straw sun hat. She didn't really like how it felt when it sat on her head, but it would soon do it's job.

Suddenly she stopped, turned and made a beeline for the spare bedroom. She then reemerged with Mr. Floppsies snuggled next to her chest, his proper metal hat fading from a pitch-perfect proper black to a fine light-green that only he knew how to roll with in a manner that complimented a true gentlerabbit. She skipped into the living room to greet her new acquaintance and escort.

'Greetings: Good morning, Mr. Davis. Endearing Statement: I hope that you are well rested today for our botanical adventure. Inquiry: Will we be leaving soon? Excited Statement: I am very eager to make many flower friends and meet all the plants of the academy!" she said with a bit of a squeal in her voice, Mr Floppsies's hat changing to a blue-ish green that was both most daring and utterly fantastic. Truly, his hat palette was unbeatable. Also worth noting is that this is the first time his hat turn such a fantastic shade of both blue and green merged as one, since Lucy had joined the academy, so she was definitely starting to adjust a little and feel at home in this scary new world.

When Alex started to hear Lucy starting to stir, he quickly went into the kitchen and started to make some scrambled eggs for the two of them, along with some toast and orange juice to drink. She might be an android but Lucy thought she was a human, and just like any other human she would have to eat. The way he understood it from the files was that her stomach broke down food and drink into an atomic energy that fueled her body. Thus far, it seemed as though she wasn't allergic to anything, as far as he could tell that is.

So once Lucy was ready and came out with the bunny, he couldn't help but smile at her outfit. "Good morning beautiful! I did have a restful night sleep. Did you?" Alex responded with a smile. As he did so though, he was trying to figure out where she got that amazing dress! Lettuce leaves, Brussels sprouts, tall grass, and broccoli decorated it. It was true that the clothing that she had right now had been brought by the scientists, so he was wondering why they would get something like that for her. Still though, it was cute and it fit the situation.

"We'll be leaving soon, but don't you want some breakfast first?" Alex asked her as he put her meal down on the table, along with some silverware. He's was in the skillet now so he had to turn towards the stove and finish cooking his meal.

"Grateful Response: I slept very well, thank you. Related Statement: I had a dream about dancing daisies and running roses, it was a very peaceful dream." she told Mr. Davis as she spun in a little circle before she stepped into the kitchen with him, a smile on her face as she sniffed the air.

"Interjection: Mmm! Observation: Something smells delicious!" Lucy went and sat down at the plate that was put on the table. "Rhetorical Inquiry: You made all this for me? Grateful Response: Thank you so much, Mr. Davis!" Then Lucy politely dug in and enjoyed her eggs in an elegant manner before preparing to spread jam on her toast. She was attempting to take the lid off the jam, but it was stuck on tight, so she decided to knock the side of the jar to loosen it...but she moved to quickly and actually broken the top of the jam jar, spilling a third of the strawberry jam onto the table and it dripping onto the floor.

Immediately Lucy was flooded with panic and was very upset, Mr. Floppsies's poor hat never staying a nice shade very long as it returned to a rather dapper yellow hue. Panicked Plead: OhnonononononopleaseMr.Jamstopspillingeverwhere! Continuation: Ohpleasepleasepleasestopspilling!" she quickly set the jar back on the table, it still oozing out but much slower now, panicking until she remembered what she needed to do in this situation.

"Exclamation: Towels! Clarification: I have to get the towels! Assurance: I'llgogetthetowerlsMr.Davisdon'tworry!" she said as she hopped of the chair and ran straight into the kitchen doorframe. She fell on her bottom but quickly stood up and quickly resumed running towards the bathroom. In the distance one could here who telling Mr. Floppsies to help her find the towels, follow by a loud thud and a cracking noise. This was followed by a large snapping sound, some quick rustling sounds, Lucy apologizing to 'Mr. Cabinet Door', and her hustling back to the kitchen to provide the towels.

Oh? She also was capable of dreaming? Now Alex was certain that Lucy had been designed to be as human as possible but not to be an infiltrator, but rather someone's child. In a way it made sense for a genius scientist to make such a being if they were incapable of having children of their own. He had met the person that made her over 5 years ago, and he always talked about her... but Alex had never fully grasped why he made her. Only time will tell. He was pulled from his thoughts when Lucy had started to enjoy her breakfast, so he turned around to start making his own... but before he could crack any eggs he heard something else crack. He turned around just in time to see the strawberry jam spill all over, and Lucy panicking over it. "Aw drat. Lucy you hurt?" Alex asked as he opened the cupboard under the sink to pull out some paper towels.

However before he could he heard a WHAM and he whirled around to see that Lucy had ran into a door frame again but was up and running towards the bathroom. There had to be a way to check her vision to see if her depth perception was off. "It's alright Lucy! I have towels here!" Alex called out as he tossed the broken jar of jam into the trash can and started to wipe up the spilled jam. However the sound of something breaking in the bathroom. Not again! Alex looked to to see Lucy bringing more towels, but he already had it half cleaned up by the time she got there. "Thank you, but I keep paper towels under the sink just for this occasion. Why did you have to apologize to the cabinet door?" Alex asked her, and when he got her answer he shook his head. "Lucy, please, be more careful. There's nothing wrong with asking for help." Alex stated calmly.

Once the mess was cleaned up and Alex took out another jar of jam for Lucy's toast, he opened the jar himself so she didn't break it again. From now on he would buy plastic jars instead of glass. Afterwards he finished making his own breakfast and quickly ate followed by washing it down with water it so they weren't late. "Well? Shall we?" Alex asked her while putting all of the dishes into the sink. Soon they were out the door and headed for the academy's courtyard.

Flustered and nearly in tears, she shook her head from side to side, her arms flailing from all around and even yet somehow Mr, Floppsies didn't fly off in a random direction with his dapper yellow head apparel.

"Extended Apology: I'msosorryMr.DavisIdidn'tmeantospillMr.JamIwasjusttryingtoopenitandIbrokeitI'msosorryItriedtogetthetowelsbutIslippedandhitmyheadonthecabinetdooranditwashanging

She stopped flailing and took a deep breath, which she then exhaled in a somewhat relaxed manner when Mr. Davis wasn't mad at her and simply stated that she needed to be more careful and that it was okay to ask for help. Admittedly, she was bad at both those things, but it was due to her nature: she was easily made to panic and was naturally clumsy, and her inability to converse with others easily made it hard to ask for assistance, especially since she didn't want to burden them.

Even though Mr. Davis arranged for the jam to be easier to deal with, she decided to not bother with it altogether: she was still shaky from the accident and she didn't want to risk breaking anything else today, and toast was too dry and scratchy for her without jam, so she just finished the rest of her eggs and quickly drank her delicious orange juice. Soon after, Mr. Davis had finished his breakfast and was ready to leave.

"Nervous Concurrence: Y-Yes, let's g-go! Forced Exclamation: I-I'm s-still excited to g-go meet the ac-cademy plants!" she did her best to sound excited but the injury of the cabinet door and the breaking of the jam spoiled the beginning of her day, replacing the eagerness of adventure with the fear of more failure and reeking accidental chaos. She was never good at hiding how she felt, and Mr. Floppsies's handsome orange hat didn't to much to change that fact, only making him ever more a proper-looking gentlerabbit.

Once Lucy had finished her meal and Alex had finished his, he rolled his right shoulder since it was feeling stiff and opened the door so they could both leave. Once he had locked the door behind them, Alex was trying to figure out how to cheer the young android up, so she wouldn't be so sad. Then he got an idea. "You know... with you wearing a gardening dress and us going out to garden... might as well get to there in something that comes from a garden, right?" Alex said with a grin as he pulled out a walnut from his magic belt and tossed it onto the ground. It quickly spouted and grew into a large log that was nearly as tall and wide as Alex himself, though it was lying down on the ground instead of standing straight up. The roots then came out of the ground and curled around into what looked like wheels and lifted the log up off the ground. As they lifted the log, the log changed shape so it had a massive opening on the top half. When Alex had finished forming the construct, it looked like a carriage that a horse would pull, brown in color with leafs wrapping around it to give it a green trim. It was glowing with an emerald light, proof that it was formed by Alex's semblance. "Shall we?" Alex asked as he offered her a hand to help her into the carriage.

Once Lucy was in, Alex got in as well, and the carriage started to roll forwards on it's own without anything pulling it. He glanced over at her and smiled. "I'm not the fairy godmother from Cinderella, but I have my tricks." he said with a smile as they continued through the courtyard of the academy till they finally reached the location where they were supposed to meet the gardener. "And we're here! Good to see you again Barry Garde" Alex said as he gave a nod to the academy gardener, who had been waiting for them.

"Mr. Davis! Fashionably early as always! And this little beauty must me Miss Klug. Nice to meet you." the old gardener said with a sweet smile as Alex got out and gave Lucy a hand out of the carriage. She might of been heavy but the carriage was easily able to bare her weight. "So young miss, how much do you know about gardening?" he asked, but then looked over at Alex's semblance carriage and laughed. "Oh, hello! Looks like you had a hitch hiker." Alex cocked an eyebrow at the comment and looked over a the front of the carriage, and grinned. There, sitting on the front of the carriage while nibbling on a leaf, was a caterpillar. White in color with black and yellow stripes. Alex placed his hand next to the carriage and the caterpillar crawled onto his hand. He then turned Lucy and held up the critter. "Little guy tried to eat our ride."

Lucy was unsure at first what Mr. Davis was speaking about, it seemed like he was just saying something silly until he tossed a walnut he had on him for some strange reason. When he tossed it and it landed on the ground, slowly and methodically grew and wrapped and twisted to combine and form a carriage made of plants. Even though she had spent a decent amount of time with Mr. Davis, she had no idea that he could do something like that. She let out a small gasp and stood there in awe for a moment before speaking up.

"Astonishment: Wow, a magical plant carriage! Exclamation: I can't wait to ride in it!"

She hopped up and down for a moment, then quickly but carefully got into the carriage. Then Mr. Davis got in, and the carriage moved on it's own. This was like something out of the fairy tales that Lucy loved to read about, and apparently Mr. Davis new that, as he said he wasn't a fairy godmother.

"Playful Quip: Of course you're not, Mr. Davis! Clarification: You are a fairy godfather, which is much better!" her face was lit up with a smile and she giggled a little as she looked out the window of the plant carriage, and Mr. Floppsies's hat changed to a rather beautiful bluish-green as she bobbed back and forth a bit during the entire ride. It was a wonderful trip in the carriage, but it was short, and soon they arrived at the academy courtyard. Mr. Davis escorted her to the academy grounds, where she was introduced to Mr. Garde, the academy gardener. His name was rather fitting, she thought to herself as she curtsied in out of respect for the man, before the older gentleman asked her a question.

"Startled Interjection: Oh! Honest Response: Well, M-Mr. Garde, I haven't really g-gardened before...but I am w-willing to learn for the g-good of the academy!" she stated with emphasis, giving a bit of a weird salute, like she was convinced learning gardening would help protect the academy somehow.

All attention quickly shifted to their secret stowaway, a little white, yellow and black caterpillar. Mr. Davis had carefully lifted him up off of their plant carriage. Lucy quickly accepted the little caterpillar friend, observing him very intently in the palms of her hand as she kept Mr. Floppsies in under her arm, his hat having changed for dark-green while she was speaking to Mr. Garde to a lighter and more complimentary shade of green.

"Observation: Danaus plexippus! Clarification: Err, umm, I-I mean M-Mr. M-Monarch Caterpillar. Correction: O-Or M-Missus, you can't really tell until they become a pupa, that's when you can identify their gender." she was smiling as she spoke, watching the little striped thing crawl around in a bit of a confused manner on her palms, as her hands were obviously not leaves and the little guy or gal was trying to figure out here the leaves were because it was in the wrong place for sure. She suddenly noticed that both Mr. Davis and Mr. Garde were looking at her, and she felt like she was doing something wrong, as whenever she got sidetracked by animals with her previous guardians she was reprimanded for not staying focused. Apologies: Oh, I'm sorry, I-I-I didn't mean to stall or delay! Assurance: I-I'll go ahead and f-find him s-some leaves to b-be at home in." she looked around and found a nearby tree with some nice leafy plants around it and ran over to relocate the sweet little critter, shouting something about 'correction' and 'Missus' before returning back to the two gentlemen.

"Inquiry: Mr. Garde, what are the basics of gardening?" she asked quietly and watched the man as she waited for his response.

Mr. Garde nodded in understanding at Lucy's answer to his question. That was what most students said, so he was used to giving explanations on how to garden. And since Alex used to be the academy grounds keeper Lucy would actually get two mentors for this shadow mission. However before they could begin, the young female surprised them both by not only knowing what type of caterpillar Alex had handed her, but it's laden name, along with that it was hard to tell if it was female or male until it matured into a pupa. "How did you know all that? I know you took a liking to all the books in the library but I didn't realize you were able to memorize it all that quickly!" Alex exclaimed in awe as he picked his jaw up off the ground after Lucy had put the little creature down.

"The basics of gardening are similar to the basics of what you need to live; plants need a home, food, and water. The soil acts as their home." Garde began as he knelt down next to some flowers, and motioned with his hands towards a few potted plants, a bag of soil, a watering pal, and a gardening spade. Alex smiled, glad that the gardener had gotten his message about how to talk to Lucy. "However some plants out grow their current homes and need to be planted in new ones." Garde continued as he used the gardening tool to dig a small hole, grabbed one of the potted plants, and placed his hands over the opening of the pot so his hand was covering the soil of the pot but his fingers had parted where the stem of the flower was coming out of the soil. He then demonstrated how to turn the pot over to pull out the plant and dirt without loosing the dirt or ruining the plant. He then turned the plant right side up, and carefully placed the plant into the hole he dug. "Once a plant is given a new home, you have to make sure it has water and some extra soil to cover up the opening." Garde then sprinkled the newly planted flower with some water from the pal, along with putting some fresh dirt on top of the plant's base.

Alex knelt down now next to Lucy. "If you take care of the plants every day, they'll grow to be beautiful." Alex stated, then grasped the spade and offered it to Lucy. "You give it a try. Do a good job and I'll get you a plant of your choosing that you can look after at home."

Lucy patiently listened to the older gentleman, not wanting to miss anything so that she didn't make any mistakes. He wasn't very particular of anything, but to plants the soil was their house and sometimes they got too big and needed another house, and they needed food and water like she did. She observed him dig a hole in the dirt, and then place one of the plants very carefully out of the pot and into the soil in a particular manner, then put some fresh dirt on top and gave it some water to drink. It seemed like a rather simple process, but Lucy knew she was good at performing ill in even the easiest of tasks, so when Mr. Davis handed her a tool made for digging she was a bit nervous as she accepted it. She then looked at soil the in a determined manner and used the spade to dig a hole, then got up and picked up a very pretty set of flowers that were pink, red and white.

"Exclamation: Wow, Dianthus barbatus! Observation: You are a very pretty flower! Informative Soliloquy: It's so sweet that your nickname is Sweet William because of an English prince."
she then walked back over to the hole she dug and, watching the older gentleman carefully take another plant from it's traditional pot home and into it's permanent home, she mimicked his movements and was able to plant the flowers without any issues. She then moved the dirt in a proper fashion to cover the roots properly and grabbed a nearby watering pail and gently sprinkled water around it so it wouldn't be thirsting after moving in. She smiled at Mr. Davis, feeling that she did it right and also happy that he brought her here, she hoped he was proud of her.

The rest of the morning was very similar: Lucy planted lots of pretty flowers in a proper manner, and she learned about how plants soak up nutrients with their roots and how plants stay healthy with sunlight using photosynthesis. Mr. Davis even taught her how plants 'breathe' so that they take the carbon monoxide that humans exhale and release the oxygen that humans breathe, which is why it's very important to respect the environment. She was never one to disrespect nature, as she loved animals, but she now decided she would also respect plants too and make sure to never ever litter and always recycle to help Remnant.

They planted more plants for hours, only stopping when Lucy played a little tune with some bees and danced with some butterflies, and when Mr. Garde mentioned that not only the plants get thirsty so they took a small break and drank some tasty lemonade. Lucy was smiling and happy the whole time, humming to herself as she helped all the wonderful plants grow in there new homes, until a bit into the afternoon when her hunger was getting the best of her.

"Inquiry: Mr. Davis, I-I-I was wondering, c-could we maybe g-get something t-to...umm...t-to eat?"
she was also a bit tired, and when those feelings started to well up, she felt best being at home...or in this case, Mr. Davis's house. She was reminded that since she did a great job, she got to take home a plant, so she quickly went over and picked up a plant she had pulled out earlier: Plantago major, also know as plantain, which...is a weed. "Heartfelt Response: It may not be as pretty as some others, but it stills deserves a good home. Informed Addition: A-Also, it h-has m-m-medicinal p-properties, s-so it c-can be r-rather h-h-helpful!" was her response to why she didn't pick a flower. They waved goodbye to Mr. Garde, who Lucy liked very much and would love to meet again. When they got back into their plant carriage, Mr. Davis said something funny about plants, which made her giggle. She knew Mr. Davis liked to tell jokes, and although she didn't always understand them or even know when he was joking, she wanted to let him know she appreciated them...so she decided she would tell him a joke back.

Lucy's face scrunched up really hard as she tried to think of a funny joke, but the only things she could think of didn't sound very funny, but she said them anyway in hopes that maybe they were funnier than she thought. "Humorous Attempt: M-M-Maybe n-next t-time, Mr. Davis, y-you c-could make it o-o-orange...t-then it would be a carrot-ge! Additional Attempt: O-Or, maybe m-make it a c-car next t-time, a-and we c-could c-call it a cab-bage! Apologies: I-I-I'm s-sorry, I'm not good at m-making j-jokes!" she flailed her arms a bit until she heard Mr. Davis laughing, and then she stopped and smiled as she was happy she had made him happy. She gave him a hug and thanked him for taking her gardening.

When they arrived home, Lucy quickly went to give her new plant a place to stay while Mr. Davis worked on lunch. They ate lunch together and then read books about different types of plants and watched her favorite channel on the television: The Remnant Wildlife Channel! It wasn't long, only a couple shows, before Lucy's eyes shut and she fell fast asleep. Her body fell to the side and her head rested against Mr. Davis's shoulder. She had a very long and exciting day, and her dreams were filled with happy animals and sharing flowers with her fellow students at school.

She may well learn to love her new life yet...
