A New Warrior Dawns (Private with Salem Ambrosius)

Cobe was walking through the grounds Syne Academy. He was very bored and just felt like he had nothing to do.

"Oh my GOD! I am bored as all hell. There is nothing to do."

Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, he sees a girl with violet/pink (he couldn't tell) hair, just wandering around.

"Finally, someone."

He stands up and walks over to the person.

The girl sat underneath the tree off to the east of the courtyard, her favorite spot for reading books. Typically, people left her alone. Salem was reading a book on the studies of Alchemy, an ancient practice proven now a days to just have been peoples confused response to discovering what is known today as "dust", when all of a sudden she noticed a man walking towards her. She then lowered her book, just low enough so that her eyes could get a good look at the man walking towards her. 

Her face then lit up with fear, a stranger. She began to blush as she quickly pulled her hood up, covering majority of her face, and sinking down lower and lower, following the tree she was leaning against to the ground. Maybe if I act like I'm deep in thought, or maybe dead, he'll just leave me alone. she hoped to herself, now reading the book quicker then ever, turning page after page in hopes of the man leaving her alone.

Cobe continued to walk over to the tree, eventually standing next to her, and leaning against the tree where she was sitting.

"Sorry, lady. That plan is not going to work on me, I know what you're trying to do. Don't be shy, trust me, being shy is not going to get you anywhere. "

Unusually for him, Cobe smiled at the shy girl and gently extended his hand to her.

"Now, it’s alright to be shy, but trying to hide, makes it more obvious, and right now, you’re looking about as obvious as a tree in the middle of a wasteland. I sometimes get shy, in fact, you wouldn’t believe me, but I’m actually shy right now. I’m more kind let’s say, when I’m shy. Normally, most people consider me a down-right A-Hole, but they say when they first meet me, or know me very well, I’m actually quite kind to people. "

Damn it, he's on to me. 

Salem let out a sigh, and put her book down. With her hood still on her head, she peaked up at the man, he was certainly here to be a hunter, no doubt about that with his classic suit of armor. She let out a sigh as she watched him extend his hand. "You don't seem very shy to me..." Salem responded, letting out a sigh as she starred at the mans hand, reluctant to take it. 

"I'm Salem..." She spoke. "I'm new to the academy. I'm a medicine major..."  Salem's eyes then scanned the man from head to toe, "I'm assuming you're not here for the same reason, huh?" She asked.

"Trust me, now that I'm starting to warm up to you, don't be surprised if I start become a massive jerk. Ok?"

He answered his own question before she could.

"Cool! As long as we are both square. So, I'm guessing your here to be a Hunter yes? Well, me too."

"A huntress... yeah, I guess thats why I'm here..." then gripped his hand, and pulled herself up. "I take it your new here, too." She spoke. From what Salem could tell, this guy was a bit of an airhead. She doubt he was dodging her question of what kind of Major he was, he probably just didn't comprehend it. 


"You don't say," she responded, raising her hand over her mouth as she giggled, replying to his comment on turning into a jerk.

Salem scratched the back of her head as the man inquired her for a match. "I'm, uhm" She couldn't quite think of the words. "I'm flattered, and all, but I'm not quite sure I'm in the mood for a match. At least, not quite yet." She spoke. "B-but i'de be happy to give you a fight later on. I just think it would be best for me to study up on exactly how to fight," She spoke, letting out a giggle. "Let us both get settled in at this academy before we start bruising up each other."
