Instant Regret (Open)

This was quite an experience. Maestus not only was had a sort of animal behavior and was aware of how different it was from others, but now she was surrounded by tons of people that are actually ordinary. They communicate easily, and they don't aggressively stare people down when they notice they're being looked at, unlike herself. She never really knew many people back home. Around 6 to be a bit more accurate. In order to actually fit in with a community of people opposite to herself, she would have to learn how to talk with her fellow students. This would have to wait, finding out where her dorm was going to be was her top priority at the moment. Which students looked like they knew what they were doing? Everyone she walked past seemed to stare until she noticed that the claws on her hands and feet were fully extended. It wasn't really something she could help, she was too nervous and her instincts were telling her to stay prepared. The biggest danger so far was that her longest claws came out from the top of her hands, and humans seemed to use hand gestures to exchange information more clearly. She'll have to learn this later. At least the claws on her feet are small enough to not make movement awkward, but they did make a constant *click clack* sound whenever she walked anywhere. She came to a stop in what appeared to be a courtyard, searching for a teacher or someone else to help her find out what happens next.

Julia walked through the courtyard with her rifle on her back. She noticed all of the students looking at her. She hid her face with her hands and walked through the crowd. She did not have the time right now. She needed to find the headmistress' building and speak with her. Julia walked through the courtyard and noticed an android walking through the courtyard with claws on her hands and feet. Or at least it looks like a her. She seems to be lost so Julia finally removed her hands face and strolled over to the girl. She stopped in front of the girl and said,"You seem to be lost,I can help you find the Administrative building so you can get a map. I was just heading there myself."Julia held out her shaking hand. She was having an argument with herself on the inside. She needed to be brave. Not just because for herself but also for the woman standing in front of her.

Maestus looked Julia up and down,  confused.  Usually the only people afraid of her are those that have met her before.  Did she know her from somewhere? Putting the thought aside, she took her shaking hand, forgetting that when you shake someone's hand, you don't do so aggressively.  Without thinking, she gripped her hand with a bit too much strength, but she refused to show weakness by apologizing.  "Yeah, lead the way.  I'm not used to places like this. I'm Maestus.  You seem afraid, but you're still making an effort.  I can appreciate that."  Although she wasn't as fearless as she'd like, this person at least tried to be brave.  She might be someone worth keeping around for later.

Julia winced in pain a little bit from Maestus gripping her hand too hard. While trying to shrug the pain off Julia replied,"My name is Julia,the main building has some maps for new students so they don't get lost. Follow me and I can get you one." Julia let go of the androids hand and took her through the courtyard. It took a while before the students could even find a sign that could tell them if they were going the right direction. Julia looked over the sign and turned back to Maestus."It looks like we might have to go around the lecture halls and the second half of the courtyard if we want to make it to the administrative building," Julia said to Maestus. Julia walked with the android through the second half of the courtyard and saw all of the men looking at her again. Julia moved her hands to the side of her head to cover her face from everyone except Maestus."I can't deal with this now," Julia said as she walked with the android.

A slight shake in her hand was one thing, but now this is ridiculous. Is Julia seriously that afraid of other people? The thought of someone so afraid that they hide their face in public was enough to make Maestus furious. She grabbed the nervous girl by the shoulder and said, "If you keep hiding like that, I'm going to ruin you. You need to knock it off." She didn't even think about what she said until after she said it, but this was luckily one of the moments she didn't regret. It was taking so much effort to not fight her right here, not to mention how hard it was to not let her claws extend into her shoulder. "Now, if you don't suck it up, I'm gonna go find it on my own."

Julia pulled her shoulder away from Maestus in shock,not even caring to hide her face from the perverted guys."Slow down there Maestus,I am not afraid of everyone.I had a shaky hand with you because I was scared of your claws. I am scared of these guys because of an incident that happened in the courtyard. I am not that scared of people,so stop trying to act all mean and just follow me!"Julia yelled,ignoring all of the eyes staring at her right now. Julia took Maestus' hand and pretty much dragged her to through the courtyard,ignoring any rocks or eyes on her. Julia didn't show it much,but she absolutely HATES it when someone thinks she is scared of everything or is nervous around everyone. Julia just dragged the android through the courtyard while thinking angry thoughts no one should ever hear,with a death grip that would crush a grimm's bones.

Now Maestus wasn't quite sure what to think. On one hand, she was happy that Julia finally decided to act a bit tougher, and maybe her grip has improved slightly, but now she was trying to order her around and drag her to the administrative building. Come to think of it, Julia either doesn't know why this was dangerous, or she was insane. Either way, this was a mistake. Maestus ripped Julia's hand off of her own, crushing her wrist with her hand. The claws on her hands extended, and it was becoming increasingly difficult to not rip her apart right here. The gold on her body began to glow dimly, as did the claws. She looked Julia dead in the eyes. This was a warning, one without words. She waited for a response.

Julia watched the android extend her claws and stare dead into her eyes. Julia could sense she was giving her a warning,but didn't listen to it as her reaction was to reach for her rifle and defend herself. Before her hand could reach the gun,Julia drew her hand back in pain. Julia focused her aura directly towards her hand to heal it. Maestus apparently crushed her wrist when she forced herself away from her. Julia reached for her rifle and grabbed it. She aimed it at the android and loaded it with her highest caliber bullets."I don't want to fight but I need you to follow me. If you don't,consider yourself lost,"Julia said with the last part supposed to be a threat. Julia cautiously backed up and prepared to fire. She didn't like to fight,but she was fed up with this android and wanted to end this.

She didn't heed the warning, so what happens now can't be your fault, right? No.  Even if it wasn't Julia's fault, Maestus wouldn't have been able to hold back if she tried.  The last thing that she wanted in her face was a rifle, and now there's one right there.  What was she supposed to do? Remain calm? Apologize?  Maestus made up her mind, letting out a bone chilling war cry as her semblance activated. Her claws glowed a molten gold color, and extended outwards.  As soon as she knew she was ready, she jumped forward towards Julia.  The first jump was ridiculously fast, and she could hear shocked gasps coming from the students around them.  Now that she was right in Julia's face, Maestus grabbed her by the throat and pulled her upwards before using her other hand to claw the her stomach, the fury overwhelming her.

Julia didn't have time to react as Maestus grabbed her and clawed at her stomach.Julia moved her legs and placed them on Maestus' face. She needed to get out of the hold or she was done for. She lifted her legs and slammed them down on the androids head with all her might. She then ripped herself out of Maestus' death grip before running to retrieve her rifle. She grabbed it before  aiming it at the androids head before firing a 2 shots at her. Julia reloaded her rifle and aimed it at the android."Do you really want to fight Maestus? Besides,we could have just been friends. All you had to do was ask me why I was hiding my face instead of just blowing up,"Julia said. She tried to put on the nicest smile she could make but decided that it was no use. The an.droid just seemed to be too stubborn.

There were no thoughts going through her head, just an unending rage. She moved like a train, an unstoppable force. The whole fight just felt so rich and right. She barely even registered that Julia kicked her in the face. After getting hit with the first bullet, she was able to know the second one was coming, ducking down to dodge the second. Now was her chance. Maestus knew that she was way too fast for Julia. This girl made her mistake, and now she was going to pay for it. Maestus stood up to look at her for just a moment, staring her down to instill fear in this girl, knowing full well that she had no hope of survival. Finally, she dove at her, letting one final rage filled scream as she pulled her down and pinned her to the ground, swiping at her face with her claws like a psycopath. "Look at me. LOOK AT ME!" Her words, too, lost all sense and logic. She had gone completely feral.

Julia couldn't even comprehend how fast Maestus was when she charged at her and pinned her down. Julia needed to think fast. She realized something. She forgot her summon. Julia freed her hand from the androids vice grip and unleashed her summon behind the android. To the normal eye,the beginning of the summon looked like a huge rose coming out of the ground and opening up. Until huge thorny vines came out of the ground and lifting the rose up,before the flower turns green,closes together and forming a humanoid mouth with sharp teeth before opening up the mouth and charging at its master's attacker. Maestus attacked her with her claws. Just by reaction,Julia raised her hand to stop the claws,only for them to get lodged in her hand.The summon sensed its masters pain and ran over to the rescue. The creature reached out its thorny vines and grabbed Maestus with a death grip that everyone fears. It raised the android in air. Julia stood up and picked up her rifle and fired it directly at the android's head.The carnivorous plant creature than slammed the android down on the ground with a loud BOOM,pinning her on the ground. Julia walked over to the android and slammed her foot directly on her face."Now do you want to stop,or are you too stubborn to listen?"

Without a second of hesitation, Maestus immediately uses the claws on her hands hand feet to rip apart the part of the plant gripping her, shaking from the excitement of a good fight. The bullet fired from Julia's rifle was hardly noticed by her, but the boot to the face was Julia's biggest mistake. There's a reason you don't poke a stick at an angry animal, there's a reason you don't back it into a corner. Standing up, she menacingly walked over to Julia. As soon as she backed up, Maestus lunged at her one last time, grabbing her by the throat and slamming her up against a wall. She was designed for combat, it was a wonder how Julia's throat wasn't immediately collapsed by the force of her grip. Maestus took her other hand and slashed at Julia's torso. "Are you SORRY?" She slashed her again. "Does it hurt? DOES IT HURT?" She screamed at her, louder and louder. Finally, she took her other hand and wrapped it around her throat, waiting for her to pass out. She wouldn't be talking tough now, would she?

Julia grabbed at her stomach as Maestus sliced at it before being grabbed by her and began choking."Please stop,"Julia said in a deep hoarse voice. The light began to fade from her eyes as the android began suffocating her to near death. The green flash from her signaled that her aura was broken,but Maestus still held her tightly by her throat,causing everything to go black. She only had one chance to escape death. Julia raised her legs to Maestus' stomach and kicked as hard as she can to escape the grip. She dropped to the ground and looked up at the android."All I wanted to do was help you,but it just ended with a fight. I guess we can't be friends after all huh?"Julia said with her last breath before passing out from blood loss. All she could hear was some gasping and,"You are a monster."Julia whole world went dark and everything went quiet.

It took a moment for Maestus to calm down from the fight, even longer to realize what she'd done. She looked down to see Julia, the one who tried to help her, lying down unconscious. It was pretty evident by the claw marks on the ground, the people around her in shock and the wound she was bleeding from that Maestus lost control again. This didn't look like one she could apologize for either. Normally, she realizes what she's doing halfway through a rampage, but it seems that she only stopped when Julia did. When she passed out. "You are a monster." A voice from behind startled her, but when she turned around, nobody looked at her. Everyone was just looking downwards and there was no way that they would give hints to who said that. "Worry about me later. She's bleeding. Heavily. Anybody here a doctor? No? Someone take her somewhere." A group of three students ran over to Julia, lifted her up and took her away, probably somewhere to get first aid. Maestus looked at the crowd for a second and spotted someone who looked older and figured that they would know where to go. She walked towards them, but they backed away pretty quickly. "Stop. Just tell me where the administrative building is, I'm lost." The student freezes and simply points somewhere to his left. She started walking off in that direction, giving a quick "thank you" to that student before walking out of sight.
