Veta Hunter

Veta Hunter
The cool morning sky was overcast with clouds as Veta used her day off from classes to explore Bellmuse's many shops. She'd lived in the country for awhile now, but had never spent much time in Bellmuse itself. People all around her walked to their destinations, going about their daily business without giving the young faunus much thought. It helped that she was wearing her hat that covered her ears, most likely. She did that sometimes - especially away from the academy. Unless she was with Liona who she just knew would find it offensive for her to do.

Veta's pink hair was also tucked up in the hat - mostly in case it rained. It would save her from having to dry her hair out. She was wearing a jacket over her normal attire, and socks that went up past her knees. She had just bought herself a rather large chocolate bar for her breakfast (she couldn't help herself!) and was trying to decide which store to poke her head in next. "Hmmm... I could go to the Dust store..." she thought aloud. "Or I could goof off and look at some clothes or something. Decisions..."

Savalith

Savalith
With new places to explore and different areas to travel Savalith had come to the town square of Bellmuse's self named capital city in search of an event to ease his boredom. There were many live shows to be performed in this area since it contained a high population. These type of shows always did excite Savalith which only made him want to view them even more. He looked around the place in search for a large crowd that was gathered into a small area. When he finally found one it turned out that the large group of people had their eyes set on one of Savalith's favorite things, puppets.

In the center of the city a massive crowd was staring at one of the largest puppet shows Savalith had ever seen. The puppets themselves were human sized which amazed the audience. Savalith himself however was at the back of the mob and couldn't get a clear sight of what was going on. To him the puppets looked normal toy sized from where he standing was which caused him to sigh in disappointment. He turned back to walk away from the show but as soon as he could even take one step away, a little boy came out of nowhere and started to ask him questions while looking up at him.

"Hey Mister! You look disappointed. Do you wanna see the show from a better view? I know the ways around this place so I can get you into the front row! Are you with anyone else?"

Savalith looked at the boy with sudden curiosity. This kid literally came out of nowhere just so he could offer his serves. The boy seemed innocent enough so Savalith crouched down to the kids level and lowered his voice as he started to answer the questions.

"If you could get me a better spot than I'd pretty much like that~ I'm not with anyone so you don't have to worry about bringing a second person~ To say the truth I don't even know anyone around these parts yet so it's hard for me to hang out with anyone~ Heck even if I disappeared I don't think anyone will notice~"

"That's perfect! Come with me and I'll show you the way!"

The little boy grabbed Savalith's hand and dragged him into a back alleyway. Savalith wasn't sure where he was heading but it seemed that he didn't need to since the boy knew where they was. Out of the blue however, Savalith felt one massive pain at the back of his head which knocked him out straight to sleep. It seemed that someone had smashed his head pretty hard while traveling through the alleyways. Without being able to do anything while unconscious Savalith woke up to feel the pain of what had previously hit him, but that wasn't the only problem he was facing.

"What the- Where the hell am I? Why are all these people starring at me? Wha- Why are my arms made of wood? Why is my body moving on its own? What the hell is going on?"

Without realizing it Savalith had become part of the puppet show with he himself being one of the puppets. He gathered all the information he had and blamed it on that one kid he met. Thanks to him Savalith had become a puppet that looked exactly like a human puppet. His clothes didn't even change which made Savalith look exactly like himself but only if he was puppet form.

"Crap. I shouldn't of told that kid that no one would notice if I disappeared. Now no one will be able to come help me. Shit."

Veta Hunter

The pink haired faunus nommed on her chocolate bar as she wandered the streets. She was still quite undecided about the whole thing, but figured it wasn't a big deal since it still wasn't raining yet. In fact, a lot of people seemed to think it wouldn't rain for awhile. Which explained why as she rounded the corner, she saw up ahead what looked like a very large marionette puppet show with the biggest crowd she'd ever seen gathered around to watch it. This caught her interest, and she raised her cap enough to scratch her cat ear as she examined the scene.

From behind her, she heard a boy. "Pst. Would you like to see the show closer? A girl your size could never get a good view from here and I know the best place!" came the voice. She looked down to see the boy, and hesitated answering. Was he suggesting something illegal? "Um..." She looked back up. She supposed she did want to actually be able to see what must be life size puppets. "Sure," she nodded. "That's very nice of you. Do I owe you something?" "Nah." the kid answered simply, walking in front of her happily. He entered an alleyway, which Veta found odd. "Um... isn't the show that way?" "This is the best way! You'll have an amazing seat!" Frowning, the faunus followed the boy.

When they got to the darkest part of the alley, she saw something move. Her faunus eyes picked up far more than the human before her had seen, and her faunus ears heard the man stepping out behind her. Ducking, her spear was in her hand in an instant and as it extended, the lower part of the shaft slammed into the man's stomach. He doubled over as another two she had already seen moved to help. Had the boy led her into a trap? One of them swung a heavy club at her, and she dodged - if only barely. The club caught the bill of her hat and it flew off, revealing her faunus ears in a flurry of pink hair that came down to her shoulders as she righted herself again.

"It's one of them hunters from the academy!" one of them shouted as he backed away. The other attacked her anyway, and recieved a spear shaft to the back of the knee as a result. He tumbled over and she thwacked him in the head to knock him out. Simple thugs were no match for the huntress in training who'd slain a deathstalker not too long ago. Her shield extended as his outraged friend regained his courage, and his own club bounced off of it. She kicked him in the stomach, and he let out a breathless cry as she thwacked him in the head as well. With all three thugs unconcious, she put her spear and shield away, and bent down to grab her hat, putting it back on.

The boy was nowhere to be found. "Huh. Maybe they put him up to it." she decided with a shrug. Turning around, she left the alleyway the way she came and re-entered the crowd. She was closer now, at least. Close enough to notice something strange - one of the puppets looked exactly like that pig-headed jerk who had framed her for stealing!

She forced her way through the crowd now, not worried about being polite. Most people weren't upset enough to try and stop a 16 year old girl from doing so, and the ones that were weren't fast or maneuverable enough to do so themselves. Finally, she got to the front. "Wow." The puppet looked just like him. Too much like him. She walked right up to the stage and put her hands on it, still staring. It couldn't be... could it?

Savalith

Savalith
Performing all kinds of tricks Savalith still had no control over his body whatsoever. He was engaging with the audience as they clapped and cheered for his movements. He had hoped that someone would notice that every single puppet on stage was actually a human being controlled but it didn't seem like anyone even took that into consideration. The worst part of all was that Savalith had no idea how he was even turned into a puppet to begin with, or if there's even a way to change back. At this point Savalith had wished that he had tried to communicate with more people during his time at the academy, at least then someone could of possibly recognized him. Just as he was making this wish however, a girl with a face Savalith did not recognize had hopped onto the stage while placing her hands on him.

"Bring this girl to me. Now. I heard that she took out my men. Don't teach her any lessons yourself. I want to deal with her personally."

A sudden command entered into Savalith's head. He had no clue where it came from but it seemed that he wasn't able to neglect this order he received. Savalith held onto the girls hands and started to dance with her automatically on stage. Another puppet joined them in their dancing while blocking any exists just in case if the girl wanted to run away or was too embarrassed to dance. Savalith could somehow tell what his body and the other puppet were going to do next. They were going to bring this girl backstage to meet the man giving commands once they had finished with their little performance.

Veta Hunter

Veta Hunter
Veta was still staring at the man intently when she realized he was dancing towards her. Suddenly, the puppet had grabbed her hands and pulled her onto the stage in front of everyone "Eep!" she squeaked as she realized they were immensely strong for being fake. But this close she didn't know how they could be fake. It was too real. She couldn't forget this man's face. "You're the booze thief!" she exclaimed as her blue eyes opened wider. She wasn't dancing, but she was easily hauled off backstage, especially since they were both physically stronger than her, and she was still too confused to put up a fight. Her hat stayed in place though.

The faunus struggled against the two, now more concerned than ever as they took her where the crowd couldn't see her. What was going on? This was twice someone had attempted to abduct her today! "Let me go! Let me go!" she screeched as she went. Some of the crowd looked confused to see a human on stage, but most of them seemed to think it was some strange part of the act. Maybe if she'd paid attention she might have realized it was entirely too convenient for the play's little plot that she came up when she did.

Savalith

Savalith
"You're the booze thief!"

It was at this moment Savalith recognized who the girl he had dragged backstage was. It was the same girl he framed for stealing the sake in the cafeteria the other day. It was rather ironic that he met her at this place since she was literally the only one who knew his face. Either if this was fate or just coincidence Savalith was nonetheless glad that someone was able to recognize him even in this stupid puppet form. The only problem was that it didn't make much of a difference since he was still compelled to follow the demands within his head.

The two marionettes took the girl backstage in order to meet an unknown man which Savalith hasn't seen before. He walked up towards the girl to take a good look at her while introducing himself. As the man spoke Savalith understood one thing, that the commands in his head were being given to him by this guy. He presumed this as the mans voice was exactly the same one he was hearing in his head.

"So you're the pretty little girl that took out my men eh? Gotta say I don't appreciate that. I am willing to forgive you however since you have a cute little face. Hows about if you let me transform that face into a work of art? You have the face of a doll after all! It'd be a waste not to do anything with them!"

As the man was speaking Savalith readied his fists and stood into a fighting stance. He didn't understand what was going on at first but after looking at the mans face it became all too obvious. He was making both the puppets ready to fight the girl if she did not accept his offer. This was something that went against Savalith's morals as he followed a code of honor that did not allow him to fight nor hurt women.

"I'd be shame to get rid of you little girl, but I'll have to change your face anyway if I don't want anybody recognizing you. These two guys will be in charge of your make over depending on your answer."

Veta was sat down in front of the man roughly by the puppet men, and she immediately stood up in a defensive posture, ready to fight. But the man wanted to exchange words instead, at least at first. Veta scowled at the man as he gave his ultimatum. And suddenly she understood. He'd captured the drunken man somehow and forced him into becoming his puppet. That explained everything! She wasn't about to have the same happen to her, though. "Sorry. I'm gonna decline. This pretty face is mine and mine alone," she said with a forced grin to look more confident than she felt.

She didn't like hurting people, but she had a classmate to rescue - who no matter how much she disliked him she felt a certain loyalty to. "I'm Veta Hunter. A student at Syne Academy, and I've fought loads worse than an old man like you already!" she informed him. As she did, her spear extended once again as she flipped it into her hands. Her coat billowed dramatically as she did so. "I can't let you get away with hurting a classmate."

Savalith

Savalith
"This is sad and sorry fate. But sometimes you can't change reality. I have no room with someone who is stupid enough to threaten me. Didn't you see that I have an entire mob of human puppets outside? I'm using my Aura to control and transmute them! And now, they are all against you."

Following his commands the second marionette jumped towards the girl in order to attack her. Savalith was also given the same commands but used all the willpower he had to ignore them. They were extremely difficult to break and Savalith couldn't help but jump in to attack. Half-way as Savalith was about to attack the girl he remembered their previous encounter together. He still never fully apologized for what he done and if let that continue on any further not only will it soil his name but also break his code of honor since he would engage in combat with a woman. With this is mind Savalith mustered up the willpower to change his course of attack and smashed the second marionette that went in to kick the girl.

"Le-Leave. Now.......... Leave a-and don't c-come back"

Staring at the man as if he was challenging the guy Savalith didn't look at the girl as he was ordering her go vanish from his sight. Fighting this enormous group of puppets could of been troublesome for even Savalith himself, therefore he didn't think that the girl had a high chance of winning. However, if she were to run away than she could escape safely. Savalith still owed this girl one for the last time they saw each other. She wouldn't have time to run away by herself because of these puppets chasing her but if he could hold them off, than that would be good enough. Savalith didn't have full control over his body yet but he wasn't going to give up easily until the girl was fully out of the premises.

Veta had prepared to turn around when one of the puppets launched at her. It would have probably smashed its fist right into her face as she turned if the drunk puppet man hadn't smashed his own fist into the puppet's face, sending him sprawling to the ground. It didn't show any signs of getting back up. That man could really punch! She turned back to face the man and the puppets that were slowly surrounding them. "Thanks," she told the man with an appreciative grin as he told her to get out. "But even with what you did before I'm not leaving you to be controlled by some creepy old man who can't stop playing with dolls." She flipped her spear into a readied position again, the expertise she'd gained from countless hours of practice showing with the very way she moved it. "So, are all of these things people you've captured too?" she demanded. "Because I'm gonna make you pay for every person you've enslaved."

Savalith

Savalith
Frantic at the fact that Savalith had disobeyed his orders the man stood in fear as this was the first time a puppet displayed any willpower of their own. Every second that past by the man got more and more angry at Savalith's actions as well as the fact that he couldn't get the girl standing in front of him to be apart of his artwork. He noticed however that Savalith wasn't moving around freely and still seemed to be under his control somewhat. He placed more of his aura into controlling Savalith so he would fight the girl in front of him.

"You runt.....You DON'T disobey me!"

Savalith raised his hands once more and stood still as he was getting ready to fight the girl. He was somewhat mad at the fact that she didn't run away to call for help. From what he heard she wanted to stay and help him, something Savalith didn't understand since he thought she hated him. Savalith's sole goal was to get this girl out of harms way and she wasn't making it easy. He didn't even care about what will happen to himself afterwards, just as long as this girl was in a safe place far far away from him.

"I won't tell you a third time.....Leave."

With his voice still extremely weak Savalith tried to tell the girl one last time. Just after he finished his statement Savalith went in to punch the girl due to the mans overflowing aura in his Savalith's body. Instead of punching the girls face however, Savalith punched his own face in order to stop himself from wounding the girl. If he was made out of flesh Savalith would be bleeding by now but because of his wooden physiology there was no blood that ran down which instead just left a scare on his forehead.

Veta stood ready for any of the puppets to attack, including Savalith, though she didn't actually know his name. She'd heard it during the ceremony that picked the teams, but of course he hadn't been there. He'd been drinking instead. "I won't tell you a third time... leave." he said weakly. It was obvious whatever control he had was weak, and her ears perked backwards to listen to him better. "I told you..." she said with a slight grin, turning around to defend from the attack she heard coming but never actually reached her. "I'm not running away. No one gets hurt on my watch." While he was still barely resisting, she fell to the ground and swept him off of his feet, deploying her shield and unhooking the buckle that held the bracer on at the same time. She slammed the pointy end of the shield down at the clothing on Savalith's shoulder, pinning him down, at least for awhile. She brought up her spear again as she moved forward, stopping in front of the evil old man. "Now, let them go. I'm not leaving until you do, one way or another." she informed him.

Savalith

Savalith
"I'd put that down if I was you. It looks like you have some history with my newest work of art lying on the floor there. If you don't want people to get hurt, I suggest you put down the spear"

The man knew how to take advantage of the girls persona filled with justice. She didn't want anyone to get hurt nor was she wasn't going to leave Savalith behind. The man could easily use this against her to gain the upper hand in this battle. With this new acquired knowledge the man overflowed Savalith's body with more aura which he stole from the other puppets. He drained the puppets aura's and installed them into Savalith who now had around the aura of 10 other people flowing through him, something that was way too much for his body to handle.

As the power kept traveling in Savalith's body it started to rip his body apart. Too much aura within an unprepared body could essentially destroy it. Parts of Savalith's body kept breaking as more and more aura went inside it. The pain was unbearable to the point where Savalith could do nothing more but scream in agony. It was as if he was being stabbed by a thousand swords from the inside as Savalith's wooden anatomy continued to break apart physically. His screams were loud and the pain could be heard.

"Wow. Those howls of his are even making me uncomfortable. If you want me to stop hurting your friend there I suggest you put down the spear already or else he might even die before you do anything to me."

Veta Hunter
Veta looked over at Savalith, hearing him scream as the other puppets fell to the ground. Her face adopted a worried look, and she dropped her guard for a moment. But that man used that moment to continue to rant. To claim he still had the upper hand. He was killing the man. Even as much of a jerk as he was he didn't deserve that, and the look on her face revealed that whether she liked him or not, she did care about him. For a moment, it looked like she was going to give up. For a moment, it looked like she would drop her spear as her readied stance fell. She even dropped the weapon, which clattered to the ground with a metal ring.  But then her face changed. Her aura glowed its cyan tint as she rushed forward. Her hat flew off her head, and her hair and ears were free again. She was only a few feet away anyway. She grabbed the man by the neck and one arm, lifting him up with surprising ease. Without a word, she twisted her wrist, and the man's arm snapped. "Let him go, or that's your neck next." she told him.

It was idiots who didn't care about the lives of others that had killed her family. It was idiots like this man that were the reason so many bad things happened. And this man was so ready to just take a life. It infuriated her. If she had been anyone else, she might have simply killed the man with all of the negative emotions running through her mind at once. But she would give him a chance. And if nothing else, a few more broken bones and he would pass out from the pain. After all, he was a manipulator, a mastermind. Not a fighter. "No one hurts my classmates. You're no better than the grimm I slay."

Savalith

Savalith
At some point Savalith's screams came to a sudden stop. It was due to the increasing amounts of pain streaming through his body as the aura kept flooding in that Savalith became unconscious for a moment. The man however didn't even seem to notice this as he was going through some pain himself. He had to deal with the girl that currently disabled his arm while ordering him to release his puppets. He clenched his teeth in anger as he was ready to use the girls caring persona against her.

"Oi oi, that hurts dammit! You may not know this but I have the ability to kill every one of these damn slaves with the single flick of a finger! If these guys die than it'd be your fault! If you break another bone of mine then it'll be exactly the same as pushing the big red button! What you do to me next will determine if you're a mass murderer or a hero! Are you ready to be responsible for the death of all these innocent civilians? If you are than you might as well kill your friend with your own bare hands! But I guess it's no surprise if you want everyone dead. You're a disgusting faunus after all!"

The man grinned as he was testing the girls mentality and philosophy on murder while teasing her of her faunus heritage since he saw her cat ears. If he played his cards right then he'd be able to exploit this girls mental weakness if she displayed any. After the mans little questionnaire with the girl Savalith had finally showed signs of his survival by standing up in a firm manner while looking straight at the two. He looked somewhat deceased as his wooden body continued to crack and break non-stop while his eyes had no iris's in them.

As his body continued to fracture however it also seemed that it was healing itself in an incredible rate. As a result of having an enormous amount of aura within his body this allowed his regenerative healing factor to work at an unbelievable rate. Though the aura oozing out of his body would result in destroying Savalith in the process, his semblance kept him alive thanks to all the power that was given to him.

"Move it. Get....away from from him. Now."

The faunus with black cat ears had a look of pure resentment for the man as he taunted her, made fun of her heritage and told her if something happened it was her fault. In her mind, she was trying to decide what to do. She wanted so badly to hurt this man - to teach him a lesson. She wanted him to pay for hurting other people and not being sorry for it in the slightest. All he could do was threaten to kill others if he were hurt. But she was here to save them... Her grip tightened at first. She was the one with the upper hand, not him. If his hostages died then his life he cared about so much was forfeit. He was the one making the call, not her!

But something in her head told her no. She couldn't go killing a human. No matter how much she hated him, she wouldn't be what she hated. Her grip noticeably loosened as she gave him a pained glare of pure rage. "You old fool..." Then, a voice came out from behind her - it was the thief's voice. "Move it. Get... away from him. Now." She looked back, momentarily distracted, to see him piecing himself back together. An image of his broken nose regenerating entered her thoughts and she remembered that this was the man's power. She obeyed, stepping away from the man as she let him go and he fell to the floor, her own aura disappearing as she let her superhuman strength abilities go for now.

Savalith

Savalith
The man had laughed thinking that Savalith was saving him from the girl. In his eyes Savalith had now become the best work of art he had ever created in his life. The power streaming out of his body was like a masterpiece which lead to the man welcoming Savalith with open arms even though one was broken. The massive amount aura that exited his body could be seen even with the untrained eye. He emitted an extreme golden yellow aura which brightened the entire atmosphere around him, even his dark black hair seemed to be getting lighter and lighter because of it.

Savalith advanced towards the mans opened arms without saying a word. He was silent until he was a few centimeters away from the man. Savalith at this moment hoisted up his hands to give the man one heavy blow to his face. Due to his fists being reinforced with huge amounts of aura Savalith's punch was strong enough to send the man flying while breaking an endless amount of walls behind him. As a result of having with more aura within Savalith's body it became easier to use his willpower to take control over it again. This could be one of the biggest backfires that Savalith had ever seen.

With the man now down for the count and possibly dead all the marionettes that were once human turned back to normal after regaining conscious. It turns out that in the event of the man falling into a state of comatose the puppets would be free of his aura transmuting effect. The same rule applied to Savalith considering that his body was now fully human again. He fell to the ground since he was feeling dizzy and everything seemed like a blur to him. He still wasn't sure whether the girl was safe now or not so with his last bits of strength he tried to move his eyes around the room in search for her even though he could barely see anything.

Picking up her spear and shield, she rehooked them in their proper positions right as Savalith fell to his knees. The man had gotten what he deserved from the person he'd personally hurt. She didn't like seeing people fight each other... but he'd brought it on himself, right? A few moments after the foul old man was knocked out cold, the man collapsed despite looking completely healthy again. She ran to his side just as he fell down, but he was still looking for something. Was it her? "Are you okay? I think you got him. Everyone is back to normal now." she grinned. For the moment, any dislike she had of him had melted away in the face of relief and concern.

She grabbed his shoulders. "Come on Booze Thief... are you okay?" she asked again, hoping for an answer. She held him up so that if he passed out he wouldn't fall to the floor. Her ears were laid down in worry. Hopefully she hadn't been to late to save him. Hopefully. She told herself it was fine. She'd given him the strength to fight off whatever the man had done to him if for no other reason than giving him someone to worry about. He would be fine. Se really wanted an answer from him though.

Savalith

Savalith
"Thank god.....you're safe. I'm glad......I didn't hurt you."

His voice was frail as Savalith felt the woman's strong posture while helping him stand up again. Though he didn't see her properly Savalith could tell that the girl had received no damage whatsoever. This made him glad and give a faint smile as he was able to keep his code of honor. No matter how much he hated a woman his family house would never allow such violence towards them, which was partially the reason why they were sexist when regarding the topic of women fighters. He closed his eyes in relife as the girl continued to ask him if he was alright. He rested a little to take in everything that had happened so he could reply to the girl properly. He still wasn't sure nonetheless on why the girl had stayed to help him.

"Why......why didn't you run? It would of been safer for you that way. I don't understand.....didn't you have hate in your eyes....towards me? Even if you thought I'd die........I'd be happy this way."

His voice was still weak but it was stronger than before. Savalith on a normal occasion would never allow himself to be killed for stupid reasons like for the sake of that man. He still had a promise to keep to his father about returning home as a hunter. This situation though wasn't that simple to him. If he died then he would of died while protecting someone. No matter what the case this would always be a reason for Savalith to sacrifice his life even though he had so much at stake.

"Why? Because I'm a huntress," Veta answered simply, as if that was answer enough. Her ears went back slightly as she nodded, making her somehow look a bit more insistent. "I became one to help people. And if I have to get hurt trying to keep others safe then I will. Just because you run and hide doesn't mean you're any safer." She insisted. She eyed her hat, but since Savalith was leaning on her, she couldn't move much to get it. She had to make a note not to leave it. She liked that hat. It had plenty of ear room. "Besides, I don't like you, no. You're selfish, rude, egotistical, obnoxious, probably a drunkard, and bull-headed," Pause. "But I don't hate you. Like it or not we're on the same side, contrary to what you might think."

The girl was handed her hat by an appreciative man who had been one of the puppets, and she placed it unevenly on her head since she couldn't put it on straight. One of her ears stuck out, but at least the other one kept it on. On the other side it was obvious people were highly surprised that their puppet show had turned into real people. "I'm Veta," She told him offhandedly, extending her spear to give him something to lean on until they found something less... hers.

Savalith

Savalith
Second after second Savalith regained some of his strength after leaning on the girl for help. He heard her answer in a proud voice on why she didn't leave while continuing to insult the man. She stated that she didn't hate him but all Savalith could do was give a slight chuckle as he was thinking that this girl was too self-righteous. Though this was a quality that brought him into a dire situation as it didn't allow the girl to escape, it was not a quality that Savalith disliked.

"Hehe, guess no matter what I say or do you're not gonna leave me knocking on the reapers door huh? Someone with all those negative traits you just stated shouldn't even be alive and yet you want to rescue me.......you're too naive goddammit. Though I guess I shouldn't be one to talk since I fell into that old mans trap"

Savalith's speech was finally strong again but his body wasn't at one hundred percent yet. He took the chance to lean on the girls spear as she introduced herself as 'Veta'. After taking a minute or so to rest Savalith stood up in a firm stance so he could introduce himself properly. He was taught to always introduce himself in an appropriate manner and reliable voice whenever someone had helped him.

"Veta the faunus. It is pleasure to meet you. I am Savalith Qualafin Luckens of the Luckens household and student of Syne academy. This is the second time I seemed to of caused you trouble and for that I wish to redeem myself of your image towards me as I am an official representative of my family. If I can be of any use to you, then please allow me to compensate for the sake of not only my family name but for me to also repay you of my debts."

Veta Hunter

Veta Hunter
Veta listened to the man berate her for being too naive, believing she should have ran and left him to die. Which was funny because she'd totally helped save his life and everyone there. She gave him a grin that was far more catlike and combative than she had before. "Well maybe you're too damn jaded," she responded simply, a bit of sass to her voice for once. She didn't believe for a second that you had to be bad to survive in a bad world. She adjusted her hat to cover her ears properly, strapping her shield to her arm and letting it fold up again.

Finally, he introduced himself as Savalith, and suddenly it was like he was much more refined and dignified than he'd ever acted before. Was it for show? She couldn't help but think so. After last time, and the fact that he'd probably been doing something stupid to get caught this time too. "I'd say it was a pleasure," she shrugged, shoving her hands in her pockets and closing her eyes as she let out a sigh. She let the sentence go. It wasn't a displeasure to meet him properly, but these seemed like hardly the circumstances to say so even if she'd forgotten what happened before.

"Anyway, what would really make it up to me is making good on that promise I told you to make last time we talked." she said, opening her azure eyes again and staring into his. She would normally have returned to her jovial weird rambly self, but she was making extra effort to show him she was serious about her statement.

Savalith

Savalith
"You referring to the promise where I don't cause any trouble for anyone? If so then I'd have to give you my apologies once again as my mentality thinks on a completely different level. I like to believe that it's alright to cause trouble for others just as long as you make it up to them in the near by future. True many people do not accept this idea much but I consider it better than having no encounters at all. After all, it was because of our last incident I had the chance of someone coming to help me in this dilemma. Besides, I have a feeling that after one person forgives the other they tend to be more closer than in the event where they simply introduce themselves."

Even though this is what Savalith had thought, he never really did have the chance to make it up to most people in the end. Veta was no exception. Savalith wanted to make sure he was clear this time but he still had his problem where he was bad with words. He wasn't sure if Veta was going to take it the wrong way or not again, nevertheless Savalith still tried his best to make sure she wouldn't hate him again.

"If the other person forgives you, then there should be no problems. If you offer something as an apology, then things might turn out better than expected. Which is why I tried to offer you a drink the last time we met, but obviously that didn't work. This philosophy of mine isn't going to change sometime soon so do you think you can change that favor into something else?"

Veta Hunter

Veta Hunter
One of Veta's cat ears twitched under the hat as Savalith spoke. Once again he was turning down the one thing she was asking when he himself had claimed twice that he owed her! And not only that, he thought it was okay to just hurt others if he could apologize later! It was like the worst possible take on the 'better to ask forgiveness than permission' bit, and she could hardly believe what she was hearing. For a minute there, she thought he might actually be a person instead of a grade A jerk.

"You... you idiot!" she exclaimed loudly, her tone matching the angry expression on her face. "I saved your life and you can't even try and be a little better person for it?! Maybe it was all the bad things you've done to people catching up with you that got you there in the first place!" She made what was a rather stereotypical angry teenage girl grunting noise in her frustration as she spun around to leave the man behind. Why stay if he was just going to be a jerk? Her voice was much more calm when she spoke again, though obviously angry, and maybe  a little hurt. "One of these days no one will be able to help you because you've dug a hole too deep to be saved. What then, Savalith?" she asked, adjusting her hat again before walking quickly away from the entire scene.
