Warren let out a yawn, his helmet in his lap and stretching his hands over his head as he sat atop a barn, letting out a huff of steam into the chilly night air, quickly tucking his chin down into his chest to try and keep the bottom half of his head warm while fighting off sleep as a shiver rolled down his spine. He gave an annoyed grunt. Keeping watch of the empty patch of grassland leading up to a forest for all night wasn't exactly exciting work, and he wondered how it was exactly that he got stuck out here again, when he remembered it was entirely his fault...

Apparently local farmers in the area had been having a lot of trouble with the Grimm recently, as they seem to have been growing a lot more bolder than usual. While they'd normally left the farmers alone, in the last few weeks there'd been reports of slaughtered farm animals, and even an entire family having gone missing. With that in mind, the farmers had petitioned for aid from Syne, the only Hunter Academy in this entire place, and with it being so understaffed, well... It'd fallen onto the students to do the grunt work, with the entire fiasco put up as a "volunteer event", keeping watch of the farmers at night until the problem was resolved. The volunteers had been split up into several teams, and scattered at various intervals along the edge of the forest, and Warren had done his best to make sure that his team contained people he was familiar with. Still, there was nothing else to do right now but wait.

"Goddammit..." Warren grumbled to himself, wrinkling his nose as if began to go numb. "Well... At least there's a full moon tonight... Visibility shouldn't be too big an issue... Stars are kinda pretty too..."

Scarlett gave a slight shiver as she held her arms over her chest in an attempt to keep warm. Due to the chilly night, the young woman somewhat regrets not packing anything other than school uniforms with skirts to fight in. But she certainly didn't expect to be required to stake out a cold farm all night long for a few Grimm. Which would be the first Grimm that she would ever be required to fight in her entire life; that thought alone certainly didn't give her comfort and confidence about what they were about to do. And to top it all off, it was currently night time. Granted, as Warren mentioned, it was fairly bright out due to the moon and stars, but it was dark enough for the red-haired girl to be on edge. And she couldn't use her semblance just yet because if fighting started and she ran out of mana... she didn't like to think about that outcome. Essentially, Scarlett was not having a fun time on her first hunt.

One thing that made it better was that Scarlett wasn't alone for this. Even if just Warren was there, she feels that she could have put enough faith in her upperclassman and follow his lead through this. Actually, Warren probably could have handled this fight all on his own, but had allowed the girl to join. Now her one purpose was to help where she could and to ensure that she isn't a burden that needs to be protected.

"It... It's getting pretty late..." Scarlett said through light shivers, her teeth clacking together slightly despite her best efforts to stop, "H-how much longer do you think we'll be up here?" she asked, unsure if they've been up there for thirty minutes or a few hours already. She prayed to whatever she could that it was already a few hours and they were getting ready to pack up and go home.

Mana found herself on a night job. Seemed like some Grimms were doing night raids on  poor village and they asked the Academy for help. Of course Mana would help, that's why she wanted to become a Huntress. The night was chilly, but Mana had come prepared. With her time traveling around with the Wanderers, she learned to predict the temperature it would do overnight with how it was in the day and vice versa, so she had planned to wear warmer clothes tonight since she figured it would be colder. However, since she didn't know exactly who would be there, she couldn't find a way to warn others about the chilly night they would face. Although still wearing a skirt, now she had warm stockings and a jacket as well, which were enough for her.

She also brought some hot chocolate in a thermos and poured a cup for Scarlett that was shivering. "Here, take this. It will warm you a bit. As for how much longer we will stay... I don't know myself. Maybe when another team will come and switch with us I guess. Isn't it that what they planned to do Warren?" She handed him a cup of hot chocolate as she asked her question and started to pour another cup for their other partner.

Sammey walked around a little to see if she see's another students around. She than get her bow and a arrow ready for a grimm attack.

Warren gives an annoyed huff, doing his best to breath down into the chest piece of his armor, trying to keep himself warm. "What Mana said." Warren said brusquely, not exactly in the best of moods right now. "It's our job to keep watch until we're relieved... Maybe I shouldn't be saying this, but I really hope something happens soon." Warren shakes his head with a sigh, as he pondered on all the other things he would have preferred to be doing right now. Like sleeping. "Nothing's probably going to happen anyways."

Still, he had more discipline than that to simply let a couple hours of lost sleep effect him, and he stood up, staring out into the forest from his position atop the building, his helmet having moved from his lap into his hand. "I swear, this is probably the most boring job I've done yet though..." He looked down at the two girls, perhaps a little jealously at their warm drink, but he was far too stubborn to ask for any, turning his attention towards the sky again.

His attention is drawn towards a girl in white, trudging her way towards them through the dark. Warren gives the girl a wave. "Hello there! Who are you?"

Scarlett blinked as she was handed a cup of hot chocolate. Taking it without a thought, she looked between it and Mana, not entirely sure why a girl that she didn't even know was giving her something warm to drink. She mumbled her gratitude, ensuring to not look the black-haired young woman in the eyes, "T-thank you... miss..." she stuttered and let out slowly before bringing the drink to her lips. It was rather difficult since her entire body was still shivering, but once that warm liquid entered her lips, it calmed down considerably. Her insides seemed to light up as she gave a quiet hum; it solved the problem of her being cold, but not the problem of knowing that she could get in a fight at any moment. And the discomfort of being around someone that she didn't know and had never saw before this night. And so, she still shook and shivered ever-so-slightly as it felt like butterflies were in her stomach.

Blushing slightly, she looked in the opposite direction that Mana was in to avoid showing how uncomfortable she was in her presence. This, interestingly enough, was the very same direction that their fourth member approached from. She only ever noticed because of Warren't pointing her out, but he was right, there was in fact a girl heading towards them, "Do you... think she's here to help with the stake-out, Warren?" she asked, tilting her head slightly to the side as she watched Sammey get closer. This idea seemed to fill Scarlett with a conflicted feeling. On one hand, she liked the idea of more help to fight whatever may come, but on the other, she was already so close to someone that she didn't know. She wasn't sure if she could take being with two. Warren being there did help a slight amount as she was used to being with him in the dorm, but even the way he was acting filled the girl with an amount of dread and fear.

As the red haired girl took the cup and thanked her, Mana smiled with a small nod. "No problem at all, I brought it for that. And please, call me Mana. No need for any "miss"." Mana clearly noticed that the girl was uncomfortable. Was it simply because they didn't know each other or for some other reason, that Mana didn't know, but she wanted her to be trusted since they could have to fight side by side.

Since Warren didn't took the cup she offered him, Mana stood up and walked to him in order to give him. "Warren, I saw you, you know. You are freezing. Here, drink up, it'll make you feel better." She didn't want her team to be in any bad shape if something were to happen, even if Warren was convinced that nothing would.

Mana ended up seeing why Warren stood up in the first place. She looked where he was looking to see Sammey walking toward them. Mana waved to her since they knew each other. She saw that she had some supplies so she walked to her in order to help. She took the blankets and went to the other two and placed one on both their shoulders. Mana then went for a small walk, not very far since she could still see the others, to look around in order to scout a bit.

King Taijitu

King Taijitu
ONE KING TAIJITU; 260 HP HUNT LEVEL: HARD Grimm Level: 6

A proud black and white snake rolled between spacious trees, heading toward the barn. It truly was a magnificent beast, it's blood red eyes piercing through the night. This beast, unlike many of it's kind, had some level of intelligence; something it took great pride in. It put it to good use as an airship flew by, the loud contraption alerted the beast to the oncoming storm; it stopped in it's tracks. While it didn't know quite what or who had been dropped, or even quite what the airship was, the two headed snake most certainly knew it meant trouble. Tonight wouldn't be the simple slaughter of the nights before.

The barn. That contraption was near the barn. The snake quickly realized, watching through the trees as the contraption flew overhead. The creature hissed to itself contently, knowing all too well of the distance between the barn and the forest as well as the time it would take a human to cover it. Without a second thought the snake altered it's course, not going straight for the prizes in the barn as it had initially intended but scouting out the surrounding forest's edge around the barn; steering clear of the moonlight's beams.

Soon enough the creature found exactly what it was looking for, a human. A male hunter with green hair to be precise. It would seem he was on patrol of the forest's perimeter and had drifted a little to close to the edge. The Taijitu found his pattern similar to a Beowulf; marking out it's territory. From one of it's red eyes the beast could see it, the barn. So close yet so far. Atop it something caught the moonlight, shiny and moving. There were various other shadows up there to. Something was certainly wrong, of that the Grimm was certain. It knew exactly how to draw down whatever was up there, it would do it just like it had a family of farmers the other night. These people would do anything to save a squealing calf.

The King Taijitu let out a hiss, audible enough for the nearby hunter to hear. The green haired hunter turned to the beast, falling over in surprise; screaming out loud of a giant snake. Crying for help. In the blink of an eye the beast shot it's black skinned head out of the forest's edge, grabbing the poor boy by the legs before immediately dragging him into the forest.

The Grimm didn't kill the boy yet, keeping a tight grasp around him as it proceeded a little further back into the forest. The boy screamed and cried out in anguish. It was all going according to plan, the ones at the barn would most certainly hear the commotion. The beast knew they would come. The boy ran out of breath, quaking in fear. The beast decided he had out lived his usability. With a nod of it's head the beast swallowed him whole. The Grimm brought it's second head around, lying low in wait of the storm. The beast used the poor lighting of the forest to it's advantage, awaiting it's prey's arrival. Unless they were faunus or had some way of illuminating the forest it would likely see them long before they saw it.

Warren glowers at Mana as she approaches him, glancing down at the warm drink in her hands and then back up at her for a moment before reluctantly accepting it, blowing on it lightly before taking a sip. It was a wonderful feeling, as the warmth seemed to spread through his entire body, starting from his throat where it ran down into his chest, before spreading out to his arms and legs. A shiver ran down his spine, a good one this time, telling him that he was starting to warm up somewhat. Giving a content sigh, he looked over at Scarlett near him. "I'd figure that she's here to help. She seems about our age, and there isn't much else reason to bring supplies like that out here."

Maybe this stake out wouldn't end up being too bad, Warren thought to himself, as he watched Mana and the new girl begin to walk off. "Hey! Be careful out there!" he yelled towards them. "I don't want to have to explain why you two got lost or what-" Warren was suddenly cut off as a cry for help echoed from out of the forest, his head immediately snapping towards the source of the sound. "What the hell..." is all he mumbles before he remembers his duty as a Hunter, quickly throwing on his helmet.

"Someone's in trouble! Scarlett, follow me!" Warren yells back to the redhead, before leaping off the roof of the barn and towards the ground below. Landing in a crouch, he wastes no time pushing the gathered momentum from his legs into a forward sprint, running headlong into the forest, looking for the source of the scream.

Scarlett Winchester

Scarlett Winchester
Scarlett's attention snapped towards the cry for help the moment it happened. It was finally here, a fight was about to happen; and what's more, someone was in dire need of help. And with it a looming sense of fear and dread filled the girl as she knew what was about to happen. But no matter what was coming, she could not accept being afraid right now; there was no time for doubt. Every negative feeling that welled up in her she forced down as far as she mentally could. Yes, she was afraid in this moment; possibly more than she ever had been in her life. And a fair chance of the most fear she will ever end up filling, even if she survives this. Because this moment was one that would define her as a hunter.

Before anything else began to happen, Scarlett's eyes began to glow a light-red shade as she activated her semblance. It was something so simple, yet nobody could say that it didn't have its uses. As the young woman activated her Forge Goggles, the dark of the night lit up for her and she could see as clear as day. For her, the forest was no longer the terrifying night, but the day that shows the way. Her fear of the dark slowly faded away, and with it, her confidence grew. Like this, even if something were to attempt to use the night as cover, Scarlett would be able to see it. The scariest things in the world were known to use the dark to their advantage, but the red-head is the girl that can take that away from them.

At Warren's command, Scarlett didn't miss a beat. She followed along a few spaces behind him off the roof and onto the ground below. Being fairly agile herself, she was decently able to keep up with the armored young man, even as her hand went down to her side and unstrapped her weapon to draw it. Prism was already prepared; there was rarely a time that it wasn't. It was at optimal performance and if there was one thing Scarlett knew she could rely on it was the weapon, and companion, that her grandfather gifted her. And as she ran behind her roommate, her eyes darted back and forth through the illuminated surroundings, keeping and eye out for whatever may be lurking.

Mana walked a bit away from the barn, having Sammey following her a bit, to scout the surrounding a bit. Mana always had a good vision in the dark, which for anyone would be surprising. She didn't saw completely in the dark, just better than most, most human that is. She never knew though of her small advantage as she never bothered to compare her vision with anyone.

Mana was surprised by the cry for help that resonated from the forest. It seemed like someone got attacked. It clearly meant that the Grimms that were supposed to attack had changed their pattern. which was never a good sign in a predator, at least for its prey. Mana looked over at Warren and Scarlett, who were already on the move toward the forest. Mana unsheathed Nivel, her rapier and looked at Sammey, giving her a nod and started to move toward the forest as well.

While running through the forest aiming to regroup with Warren and Scarlett along the way, Mana gave Sammey instructions. Nothing complicated or fancy, simple combat tactics that would aim to keep everyone alive. "Okay, Sammey, listen closely, since you and Scarlett are range weapon users, Warren and me are going to cover you, so be sure to stay clear and avoid unnecessary attacks, we all want to come back from this, okay?" She gave her a quick look with a smile to reassure the girl before scanning the area the best she could.

The evil snake ran its red tongs over each of its pair of lips respectively, counting the number of footsteps. The beast quickly determined there were four on their way, chasing after the boy who had already met his demise. The beast kept it's body low, waiting for it's prey to arrive. All four of them had entered, two sets of two. The beast's trap was sprung. The creature quickly analysed the targets, hidden from sight by a thick shrubbery.

First was a tin man, he found no clear tool or weapon on him. The beast determined that his hard grey shell would be rather difficult to penetrate. Behind him was a girl with rather strange eyes and a weapon of some kind drawn. The beast quickly decided to make her it's first target, fearful of the strange redness around her eyes. Then came the third, a female with black hair and a clear tool in her hands, ready to strike. And finally was a white haired one with some strange contraption in her hand. The King had formulated it's plan.

The snake's white head shot out behind the party, immediately lunging for the girl in white. The back head let out a loud and violent hiss, attempting to shock the party into stopping and disorientate them. If it worked as the monster hoped the members at the front would turn around which was where...

The black skinned head timed itself after the white skinned one, lurching from its spot in the shrubbery; attempting to smash through the one who was cloaked in metal and bite onto the girl with the weird eyes. Even if it's assaults failed the beast still had them trapped in the deep dark woods.

Warren Novack

Warren Novack
Glancing back behind him, Warren say Scarlett's Aura flare to life, her eyes beginning to glow. "You see anything, Scarlett?" Warren asked back, remembering having spoken to her about her semblance sometime ago as small talk. He glanced to the side and was glade to see Mana and and the new girl, apparently Sammey, had joined them, Mana having drawn her rapier, and Sammey carrying a bow and arrow in hand.

He saw a flash of white from the corner of his vision, a sudden white streak slicing through the sky towards Sammey shocked him into a skidding halt as he watched on in surprise, a loud hiss echoing from the the creature. Warren sucked in a sharp breath as he recognized it for what it was, the white and red markings immediately familiar to the man. A King Taijitu. And where there was one head, there was always another.

Warren's head snapped back forwards, just in time to see the black head about to strike, head reared back and its fangs shining bright in the full moon's glow. Time seemed to slow, and on reflex, Warren's hands immediately sprung out to shove Scarlett, only a few paces away from him, out of the immediate danger, not requiring much force to move the shorter and much lighter girl. "Get back! King T-" Warren shouts at the same time, but is cut off as the black head launches lightning quick, the tip of its snout slamming into Warren's side and sending him flying with a loud and horrible crash, his side flaring momentarily in a feeling of pain that seemed to fill his entire body in an instant as his Aura did not even have any time to be summoned and protect him from the blow, not that his would've done much in the first place.

It all seemed to happen in an instant to Warren. One moment, he was watching Scarlett being shoved away almost in slow motion, and the next his world was nothing but flashes of darkness and greens and browns as the force of the blow had sent him tumbling wildly before he slammed into a tree, feeling the sudden spike of pain as his back slams into the trunk and bouncing off of it with only a gasp of air as the crunch of wood meeting body silences the forceful escape of the air from his lungs by way of sudden impact.

Warren laid there in the dirt and grass for a moment, trying to suck in air and fill his empty lungs as his entire body burned in agony. Every part of his mind and body screamed at him to simply lay there, and hopefully prevent himself from making any of his injuries worse. Still, he stubbornly picked himself up, forcing himself onto his hands and knees. A simple glance down showed that the side of Warren's armor where the King Taijitu had hit him was crumpled horribly, dented and beaten almost beyond repair. He reached out, hand grasping for the trunk of a nearby tree, using it to pull himself up even as his body protested against the movement, eyes squint nearly shut as he grimaces through the suffering, focusing on taking gathering his bearings and getting a good overview of the fight before charging in head long even as his ragged panting echoed within his helmet.

Scarlett Winchester

Scarlett Winchester
Perhaps if someone else were in Scarlett's place, the King Taijitu may have better fortune with its planned ambush. Perhaps if Scarlett's semblance was anything else, then maybe her and her team would not be able to counter the grimm's stealth as well as they could. It may not have been much, but it was certainly some amount of an advantage. Or to put it more accurately, it would be to negate some of the grimm's advantage of the night. But it was something that they could rely on; something that made this abnormally strong beast ever-so-slightly more manageable. But it put more responsibility on Scarlett who now needed to be the eyes of everyone on her team.

Scarlett saw it first, of course, the white head that was preparing to strike at Sammey. It was only a single second before it struck, but perhaps that was enough time for her to warn her companions, "To the left!" she called out as her body swung, her arm raising itself to aim her Prism at the grimm's head. Her finger prepared to squeeze down on the trigger, but she paused as she recognized the type of enemy that they would be facing tonight. A King, one of the strongest, most deadly grimm known. And where there was one head, there was usually a second, ready to strike as well.

By the time Warren's hand went out to push Scarlett, the red-haired girl had already begun to jump back through pure reflex. She had turned her attention back towards the front and saw the slightest blur of black with her semblance, so her top priority was to get away. Using Warren's push to get a bit more distance away from the area, she landed not too far away, her feet scrambling to steady herself as she kicked up patches of dirt. As soon as she had balance, her legs began to move once again, this time away from the grimm that had just hurt her friend. However, she wasn't running away, no matter how afraid she was; if she had, she would never be able to forgive herself. No, this was a tactical repositioning.

Scarlett rushed towards her other two teammates, Sammey and Mana as they dealt with the white-head of the King. Scarlett knew that Warren could handle himself; afterall, he was a second year and was potentially tougher than all three of his teammates combined. Instead, she considered that focusing all they could towards one head at a time would be the best way to handle this fight.

Once she got close enough, Scarlett stopped her mad dash and announced her presence, "I'm here!" she called out as her arm was already moving upwards to aim Prism. Now that she had even the slightest amount of time, she could focus and aim, ensuring to hit the grimm at whatever part that she considered to be the weakest. Although she didn't know much about the anatomy of King Taijitus, she figured that the eyes would be a good place to start. Using her left hand to steady her weapon, she squeezed the trigger with her right repeatedly, firing off three shots towards the monstrosity. The first, assuming her timing is correct, should hit the King in whatever eye she could aim at, but the second two were a bit more tricky to determine due to the rapid firing of the weapon causing recoil.

As Mana and Sammey joined the two others, Mana knew that they should be near the spot where they heard the screams as they were all heading for this way. She looked at the whole group and saw that everyone was ready for the fight to come, all they had to hope now was that everything would go smoothly...which didn't really started well, but it could have been worse... As they were going deeper into the forest, the Grimm was closing its trap on them with it's attack. With Warren's call for he King and Scarlett's one to move left and Mana's good vision, she had what was needed to avoid the attack. However...

Mana looked at the way the snake moved, it wasn't attacking in a general area in hope to hit someone, it was targeting... The white head seemed to go directly for Sammey, which, if Mana didn't do anything about it, would go against her plan to cover the range weapon users. Mana didn't lose a second has she activated her semblance, Ambiant Melody and while the forest was slowly filled with a song coming from nowhere, Mana used her increased speed to knock Sammey out of the attack before jumping to land with her sword stabbing on the back of the King as its head was still moving from its recent attack.

Now, hoping to have enough balance on the back of the massive Grimm, Mana would run along its back, looking back to see that Scarlett has joined the fight against the white head. Three against one was a good idea, but leaving Warren alone with the other one? Mana hoped that Scarlett was doing the right thing. While on its back, Mana didn't idle there, she relentlessly attack the King with everything she had, aiming to slay the beast as fast as possible. She did multiple flurries of thrusts, knowing it was better than slashes against a scaly body. In hope to avoid to lose balance on it and becoming vulnerable, Mana jumped off of the Grimm's back in hope that it would target her out of spite. Would be the best scenario, after the beast simply dying of course.

The beast's right head screamed at the feeling of had it's head pierced by a blade, shaking so violently that the hunter atop it would be unable to move; having to clutch her weapon for dear life or jumping off. It couldn't tell which for almost immediately a single dust bullet hit the beast in the eye. Outraged and shocked, it immediately slammed it's right head into a tree, top first. The girl atop it would either have to jump or face serious injury. After slamming off the tree it flailed wildly, seeming to accidentally put the white haired girl in line for a rather hard smack from it's head.

The left head was rather annoyed at it's brother's mistreatment, it slithered straight passed the metal man and toward the girl with a gun. Silent as it slithered, using the screams and movement of it's brothers as a distraction it lunged forward; jaws wide. In position to bite the girl around the middle.

Warren Novack

Warren Novack
Warren watched the battlefield for a moment, simply taking in the situation as he plotted what next to do, and partially to gather himself together after the surprise blow. It seemed as if the battle had begun in earnest, as he saw the bright flashes of Scarlett's weapon fire off into the dark of the night, and hearing Mana's familiar Aura Song, as Warren had begun to call it in his head, as she sprinted across the Grimm's back, blade shining against the bright flares that Scarlett's revolver gave off with every shot.

Then suddenly, the King Taijitu's black head slithered by him, heading back straight for Scarlett it seemed, with Warren either having been forgotten or assumed down. Warren half-growled and half-smiled, as a part of him wanted to payback the monster for the heavy blow he had taken, and another part of him realized that this was exactly the best chance to do so.

He began to sprint, moving to intercept the King Taijitu's head, his gauntlets beginning to glow red with heat as he channeled the red dust within his armor into turning his fists into beacons of super-heated metal. He leaped, one hand reaching out to grab at the Grimm's nostril, and hang on for dear life, as his other sought to pound the creature in the face, seeking whatever weak spot he could, particularly the eyes, bringing his Aura to bear as he slams his palm down over the Grimm's eye, creating a bright flash of light, blinding not only himself, but the King Taijitu; or well, that was his hope at least.

Scarlett Winchester

Scarlett Winchester
Scarlett gave a mental fist-pump of celebration as her first shot did what it was intended and hit the King in its eye. However, she didn't allow herself to become over confident just because of one success. She and her allies had a significant amount of grimm to overcome if they wanted to win this battle. And becoming cocky wasn't going to help in their goal for success and victory.

Scarlett heard the right head of the grimm before anything else. On pure reflex, she turned on the balls of her feet and brought up her Prism, aiming it steadily as the King opened its maw wide. In the next few moments, there was such a great chance that the girl could have been gravely injured by the beast's bite. But it didn't matter to her; so long as she could do what she could, then any injuries she sustained would be worth it. If she could just hurt the grimm enough so that her teammates could manage it on their own, she would be content.

But it wasn't time to give up yet and she had plenty that still needed doing. Aiming her Prism right into the open maw of the King, she squeezed down on the trigger repeatedly, firing a series of three shots that flew towards the beast's mouth at high speeds. It certainly would have been hard for the grimm to continue on its path after a quick barrage of bullets hit its insides, but even if it did, the injuries that it would sustain would make it all worth getting hit.

Mana jumped off the snake when it stated to move franticaly. There was no way she would stay in harm way to do a bit more damage to it, safety first to live a little longer, something Scarlett didn't seemed to work by. As the red haired girl stood there only to shoot the beast's Inside as it was coming for her, Mana, with her great speed, went for a fast lounge attach toward the incoming head, in hope that Scarlett could still land her shots before Mana's strike came in and that it would push the head enough with her momentum to give Scarlett a chance to dodge. Mana would give a nod to Scarlett to see if everything was alright before looking toward the other head that was still frantic.

Seeing as the head was about to slam itself over Sammey, Mana decided to do the same thing she just did but to this head. The only defference is that Mana had to jump in order to reach the head at the right time. SHe would again use the momentum of her running in her jump to do a lounge attack to push the snake's head away from Sammey this time. If it worked, she would then aim for the beast's eyes with multiple thrusts in order to blind it. She had to turn to fight to their favor and get rid of the King as fast as possible.

Sammey White

Sammey White
As everything was going on Sammey was able to get her wind back. She than looked up to see one coming at her Sammey than pulled out a arrow and placed it on the bows string. Then Mana started to run over to the head coming after Sammey, She than shot the arrow at the head to hit it and make it easer for Mana to hit it hopefully. Sammey than moved out of the way of the in coming head and seen the other girl maybe hit so she used her Semblance to teleport next to her and after she shot the head.

Sammey grabed her and once again she teleported her self and the other girl out of the heads way. Sammey than let go for the other girl "S-sorry." she had moved then about ten yards away form the the heads.

King Taijitu

King Taijitu
ONE KING TAIJITU; 80 HP HUNT LEVEL: HARD Grimm Level: 6

The left head let out a screech as something clamped into its nostril; a burning sensation ravaging its body. The beast felt as heavy burning blows pounded at its face, letting out a scream before it could attack the girl it had initially aimed at. The beast felt a blast in its mouth, it flinched as a drowning feeling overcame it, twisting its head as it moved forward. However, this put the tin man who was clinging to it in the line of fire; the subsequent two bullets flying toward it. Had the boy let go then the snake's sudden movements must have caused it to avoid the other shots, though at the speed it was going at coupled with the sheer force of the boy's grip it would be difficult for him to let go.

Realizing this, yet unsure if the man was still clinging on, the darker of the two heads pressed forward with its assault; using the tin man (or lack thereof) as a battering ram to hit not only the girl with a gun but to accidentally smash through the assault of the sword wielding girl to.

The white head, shocked by a sudden arrow piercing its lower jaw, immediately fell back into the shadows. The beast needed a plan, it’d bitten off more than it could chew. The beast quickly decided the best method of action would be to lower their numbers or even take another hostage, maybe then they’d be more concerned with getting them back as opposed to fighting; thus making them easier to pick off. The hidden snake picked its target and set the trap, knocking down a tree just left of her to distract her. The snake’s target was the girl with the sword, the instant the tree went down the beast darted around slithering flat on the ground and attempted to bite her by the legs.

Warren Novack

Warren Novack
Warren clung on for dear life as the snake began to whip itself back and forth, however he lost his grip as he felt a sudden and cold impact in his side, forcing the air out of his lungs and knocking him off the creature. He tumbles and rolls, though not so far as the last time when he was thrown away like a rag doll. He cursed under his breath. Of course this wouldn't be so easy. Still, he wasn't willing to let up.

The fact that everyone was targeting the King Taijitu's weakest point, the head, meant that there was a lot of room for friendly fire when it came to the more melee focused members of the party, as Warren had just learned. He needed a different approach. For an instant, he wondered if he could somehow find a way to strike at the Grimm's body, while still doing enough to actually hurt it. It was almost laughable, seeing as the King Taijitu was one of the strongest Grimm known, and its tail lacked any of the more sensitive bits, such as the eyes or mouth, and any organs were secured away under a layer of scales and thick muscle.

Warren's eyes darted left and right as he tried to think of something, until his eyes fell upon a shattered branch, one end snapped into a point, probably broken during their fighting. Well, looks like he did have an option after all, albeit one that was a little bit primitive. Grabbing the branch, Warren wrapped his hands around the pointed end, heating up his gauntlet once again. He'd learned about this once, a process called fire hardening, which could harden an edge or point of wood, going so far as to even being stronger than copper if done properly, by drying out the piece of lumber and applying a thin layer of carbon to it. Warren's own attempt at it was perhaps a little rushed, but he was working with heat greater than what your average caveman usually had, so hopefully the flash treatment worked well enough.

Pulling away his hand, he inspected the tip of his makeshift spear, noting the blackened point. He had no idea if he'd done it correctly, but it'd have to do. Gripping his weapon with both hands, he rushed forwards, intent on stabbing the Grimm through the body, and tackle it at the same time, not that he figured either would do too much.
