Overall Personality: Maria hates humans with a burning passion, and can't stand being near them. She likes the White Fang, but knows that what they do is wrong. She's never the kind of girl to be late for most things, but she will keep her priorities as straight as possible if it comes down to not finishing one thing or being late to another. While smart enough outside battle to get by, she can be easily angered and lose track of strategy when in combat. Maria's short temper doesn't help her much in battle, but she can generally work around it. But the one thing she can't stand is humans in the White Fang. For her, it's like poison in the water supply. Just...Wrong.

- Maria was always that one girl that stood out. As a child, she was part of the more peaceful White Fang, and even developed a strong disliking of humans. She saw this didn't work, and wanted to fix it. She left the White Fang for a while, but knew she'd one day return...With or against them. She found a special place in which she made herself a weapon designed to show people that she was once part of the White Fang. She chose gauntlets so that she could have herself projectiles, and she in this time learned Fire Dust as well. Around the age of ten, she returned to the White Fang, only to find there was a new leader. And his ways were different. And she liked them. She liked using this new method to get respect, but she knew it was wrong. She did it as long as she could, until one day was sent with others to destroy property of the one human friend she had ever had. Maria attempted to save her friend, but was too late. And she was also trapped in the wreck of the property. She found her way out, but was severely injured in a few places, and even had a scar on her right arm, running from just below the shoulder to just above the wrist. She left the White Fang, and decided to attempt to become a huntress...The only other way she could use her weapon. When she applied, she was rejected. So she decided to go to Syne and talk to some people personally, and ended up showing them what she could do. In the end, she was barely accepted by pure luck. Now, she waits...And she knows the day will come when she will have to fight old allies...One day the White Fang will come for her. And she'll need to make a choice...But that day isn't to come for a long time...

Maria followed her allies through the forest near the property, knowing the name was something important to her, but by the time she realized, it was too late. She kept quiet until they arrived, when she ran inside the building to try to save her friend. "Kayla? Are you in here? The White Fang are outside, they're going to destroy this pl-" Maria was cut off by the sight of a human in a White Fang uniform throwing her friend's lifeless body aside.
"Sorry kid..." He climbed to the window, ready to jump out. "You knew the price of joining us. She's a human, you hate them."
Maria ran to grab him and punch him to death, but her anger tripped her and he jumped to the next building over. As Maria began to stand up, the building shook. Light flashed, power was lost, fires began. The building was falling apart with her in it. She ran to her friend's body, knowing that if she died, she would be with the one friend who understood what it was like for her. "Kayla, I'm sorry I couldn't get here sooner. I'm never going to work with them...Ever again..." As the building collapsed, a piece of the ceiling fell in front of her, startling her as she fainted. She woke up around 14 hours later, unharmed. She quickly got up, a large pain in her right arm. She looked at it and noticed a long mark on it. She could tell it was cut, but had no idea what healed it so fast. She climbed to the top as fast as she could, and carefully went down. "Sorry. There's no other words for me right now..." Maria turned away and walked into the forest, not knowing what would happen next. She just knew she was leaving the White Fang...And becoming a Huntress.

Maria packed what little things she had, her brother watching her in his old-style White Fang uniform, something he kept after he left when things turn violent. "Ken, I don't need you to come with me, alright? This is for...Someone. Just trust me, I can do it."
Ken sighed and turned around. "Alright, but please be careful not to lose your temper around humans. I know how you get, little sis."
"Ken, stop it!" Maria threw a pillow at him and grabbed her two backpacks of stuff, walking towards the door. "Hey Ken?"
"Yeah?"
"Before I leave, I just want you to know...This isn't for me. It's me finishing someone else's life."
"Right...I know how it happened. I'd have done the same, and be doing the same still. It's what you need if it's what you feel you need." Ken gave her a look of confidence before she walked out the door, him closing it behind her. "I hope she'll be okay at Syne..."
As Maria walked away, she looked back at the house. "I hope Ken won't be too lonely without me..."
