It didn't rain. It poured. And it was quite annoying that it did. Most people were smart enough to avoid going outside. But it was Mathilde who was caught in the middle of it. Her airship from town just had to be delayed slightly so that she could recieve a royal showering from the heavens themselves. The hatch opened and Mathilde burst into a swift jog with the massive scythe resting on her shoulder. It was raining so hard that the entire courtyard was covered in puddles. Only 5 minutes in.

It didn't rain. It stormed.

Luckily, the run was relatively short. Both due to the short distance and Mathilde's form. Going with great strides at a quick tempo. The door slammed shut behind her and she was now just drenched. The rain dripped from soaked leather. And, well. She just came back from most of her outfits being turned in to the dry cleaner in town. Just great. A soft sigh came from her. Well, no sense in barging into her dorms, probably make the entire room wet and look for clothes that weren't momentarily there. She'd just have to dry off au naturel.

She moved through the hallway, which were mostly abandoned. The occassional student passed by. But she was sure most were either in their dorms, the library or the cantina. Ah, well. A moment of peace was always good. Finding a particular spot by the window, Mathilde leaned against the frame and just stared outside, the scythe pressed against her. Peacefully, a soft smile playing on her lips. It was calm, barely any soul in the halls now. Which was nice.

It allowed for some thought.

The library was a little bit more full than usual do to the heavy rain. Sammey didn’t like days like this do to so many people around and all the talking that was going on. The taking was almost as bad as in the caf. All the people around her made it feel like people were looking and or talking about her even though they most likely aren’t but in her head they were. She grabbed her books and chaked then out and headed out.

She was going to go to her room till she walked to the doors and seen the rain. “Oh” She said to herself as she closed the door and walked to where the classrooms to find one that no one was in. Walking down the hall she didn’t see too many people walking around but one was holding her weapon out in the open and she looked wet. Seeing the girl wet like that so she pulled out her little handkerchief and walked to her. As she was coming up to the girl to try and hand her the handkerchief but sipped on something that was on the floor. Her books fail everywhere and it felt like she kicked something.

Mathilde was perfectly fine with standing there and just waiting. After all, mental simulations were a thing when you were an android and a sentient AI. Design neat little puzzles to see whichever way was fastest to solve and through that, reroute several circuits to boost the cognitive process by mere nanoseconds. Though an improvement was an improvement after all. All the while she heard the people come and pass. Footsteps approaching her and tapping past. Though one set captivated her attention. Though they weren't really footsteps, rather the interruption thereof. Someone had tripped.

She perked up and glanced around to see a blue haired girl stumble to the ground. Immediately, she put her scythe against the wall and moved over towards Sammey. Offering a gloved hand towards the girl. And if accepted, she'd pull Sammey to her feet immediately. "Are you alright?" A concerned look crossed her face as she kneeled down to gather the girl's books and scattered papers. Looking up to Sammey while she did so to check her face for any strained expression or indication of pain. Mathilde classified and pushed them together neatly, getting up again and offering them back again. "Here you go."

As she sat up she rubbed the back of her head with her left hand. When she opened her eye’s there was a girl with her hand out. "Are you alright?" Sammey nodded her head and shyly took the girl's hand with her right. Than immediately after taking the girl's hand she was pulled up to her feet making her almost fall onto the girl.

The girl than started to pick up Sammey's thing “n-n-no..th-tha-t-that-that’s…” "Here you go." The girl had already picked up all of her things and was handing it to her. Sammey covered her face with her scarf only leaving her shy ice blue eyes poking over the top of the scarf. She took her books and papers back and was trying to say thank you but her low soft voice was hard for most to hear let alone talking from behind her scarf stopped just about any and all sound she was saying.

Mathilde Harmaa

Mathilde heard the faint murmuring when she was picking up the girl's things, noticing how she just stood there. Either petrified or too slow on the uptake. Or maybe she was scared? As she had given the things back, the girl had pulled her scarf up slightly. An obvious gesture that indicated some kind of fear. As if Mathilde was about to attack the rather frail looking girl infront of her. She took a respectful step back, to at least try and have the feel just a tad more comfortable. "I'm not that scary, am I?" She tried to say with a slight hint of cheek to her voice. She was tall, rather broad shouldered. And built in such a way to be rather intimidating. And she was fully aware of this.

"Be reassured," she said, a faint smile appearing on her lips. Though her face seemed to remain rather cold. "I'm not planning on hurting anyone in this academy." The courtyard was a different case. And that man wasn't really a student either. "You're sure you're unhurt?" She asked again, just to be safe.

As the girl took a step back a tiny bit of the fear from Sammey’s eyes started to lave till. "I'm not that scary, am I?" Sammey’s eyes grew wide and the look of fear was 10x than before it was like she just seen her whole family killed in front of her and it was her turn. "Be reassured," Sammeys eyes were locked on the girl seeing a small smile appear on her lips, but the girls cold looking face wasn’t helping too much. Sammey didn’t know what to do her eyes just locked on this girl not wanting to say something and unable to break eye contact.

Sammey was looking at her thinking is she going to have to fight and maybe even k-ki-ki no something like that was unthinkable for Sammey to do and or think or doing to a human and or faunus. "I'm not planning on hurting anyone in this academy." The fear was gone as the girl said that and the fear was now surprised and lost even her body loosened up and she was able to move once again and given a little nod. "You're sure you're unhurt?" Sammey was hurt but she wouldn't tell anyone that and become a pain to someone so she once again noded to the girl.

Mathilde Harmaa

Well. It seemed the girl wasn't all too keen on talking or conversation. She had to wonder why. And wondering why was replaying the entire scenario in her mind at a massive tempo. It led her to the conclusion that she hadn't even stated her name. A frown crossed her face and she coughed momentarily. "My apologies," she started, holding out her hand. "I haven't introduced myself yet. Mathilde Harmaa, it's a pleasure meeting you, miss?" She let the question hang in the air, waiting for the other girl to answer her. At least the exchange for names would put them at the same level. She did seem rather shy and taken aback. Mathilde was polite, smiles and smirks were among her expressions, but it were eyes that remained as cold and mirthless as they ever were. It was something her creators apparently found hard to emulate.

Said cold eyes momentarily trailed over towards the massive scythe that was placed against the wall. Maybe twice as tall as Mathilde herself, who was quite big, and the arched blade the same size as her. The grotesque weapon was so big it was almost comical. Though it seemed more than a fitting weapon for someone who looked as dark and intricate as her. Though Sammey could probably see the assurance in her eyes. As if she didn't want to be really seperated from her weapon this long. A true warrior. Or maybe there was more to it.

Sammey White

Once again she was hiding behind her sacef when talking to anyone outside her own family. "My apologies," she started, holding out her hand. "I haven't introduced myself yet. Mathilde Harmaa, it's a pleasure meeting you, miss?" Mathilde Harmaa? That was a different name. Well Sammey was told her name i was time for Sammey to say her name. Once again she was talking from behind her scarf and once again her soft low voice was as if she was saying nothing. “I’m Sam-Samm-Sammey...whi-white….nic-nic-nice t-t-t-to me-meet y-y-yo-yo-you.

After no sound came out she opened one of her notebooks and pulled out a pen and weighted down her name and riped the page out and shyly handed it to Mathilde. The paper just reads My name is Sammey White in a cute high school girly writing and yes the i in is had a little cute hart on it.

Mathilde Harmaa

Her eyes, facial muscles contorted, indicating the pattern of speech, though muffled by a scarf. Barely an audible sound reached Mathilde's ears. Or rather, her sound perception system. She tried to filter out Sammey's voice from the background noises. Though they were equally loud and she couldn't for the love of all that's good make heads nor tail from it.

She folded her arms as Sammey took out a notebook, scribbling down a name and handing a paper to Mathilde. A slow nod as she neatly folded the paper and handed it back. "Miss White," made a conclusion to her final sentence. "That is a very nice handwriting," Mathilde complimented, before arching her head slightly. "What major do you attend, Miss White?"

Sammey White

Sammey took the paper back and placed it in her note book "That is a very nice handwriting" Her face turned red and behind her scarf she gives a quick little smail before it was gone. "What major do you attend, Miss White?" Sammey looked down to her shoes for a bit then looked at Mathilde Harmaa face and little by little more and more of Sammey face started to show. The eye’s of something so innocent with a face to match it.

D-d-dus-duster ma-major y-y-yo” and once again her low soft voice was hard to hear but unlike last time you could somewhat hear her. Sammey when she says thing and is scared it takes some time for her to say but most get what she’s trying to say. It just made things faster and easier for everyone. She than just got some paper and something to wright with on the ready.

Red cheeks? A tell-tale sign of emberassment? It then clicked in Mathilde's head. The dots were finally connected. This individual was extremely shy, or socially anxious. She knew what it was, though had no idea to deal with it. Perhaps just proceed on like she was? Not force them. It was quite the conundrum. The audio sensors finally found a lock on Sammey's voice and now managed to filter out all incoming background noise. She could now understand her clear as day. Though her voice was slightly distorted for Mathilde as a result. Though she was completely aware of this. "My apologies if I am discomforting you."

"Oh," she glanced at Hallowed Redeemer, the massive scythe that was still propped up against the wall as a lone guardian, a looming predator. And glanced back at Sammey. A smirk on her face. "Well, if you hadn't guessed from the large weapon, Combat Major," she retorted. "Scythe user, close quarters specialist." She moved back to the scythe and sat down slowly, crossing one leg over another. Her spine locking in place and weight being moved slightly forward as to not put her full weight on the windowsill. "I hope I'm not keeping you from anything important."

Sammey White

"Well, if you hadn't guessed from the large weapon, Combat Major," That sounds about right and the scythe did yelled close quarters. That was something Sammey wasn’t really able to do as she looked at the scythe. "I hope I'm not keeping you from anything important." Sammey looked at Mathilde “Huh?..Oh n-no it-it’s fi-fine” Sammey was trying to be louder but not by much. She then set her books and papers on the floor and pulled out a show white and ice blue arrow and under the back of her shirt with her left hand.

As the right hand moved to her thigh and pulled her weapon form under her skirt. “I-i’m a bo-bow user.” As she was saying that the bow was in it collapsed form, she pushed something to make it open up to it full size. “I-i-i fight lon-long range an-and i-i-i’m a du-dust Major.” As she holds her arrow into her right hand and pulled out a few things of dust from her little bag thing on her lower back and was holding them up to show her.

Mathilde Harmaa

Mathilde Harmaa
Mathilde's shoulders relaxed slightly as she was assured she wasn't keeping Sammey from anything important, that it was fine. However, her eyebrow arched slightly as she glanced at the arrow, her body language becoming a bit more wary. Hallowed Redeemer was close enough, but Sammey played at a range and was most likely faster and lither than a brawler such as herself. However, her facial expression didn't change. Not one of the borderline paranoid emotions were betrayed by her expression.

"A bow user?" She let out a soft smile. "I haven't seen any of those around yet," she retortedn before nodding. "You coat your arrows in Dust, then?" She let out a soft huff, casting a glance towards Hallowed Redeemer. "I am planning to upgrade my scythe as well to work in tandem with Dust," Math explained, glancing back at Sammey. "Make the blade augmented, shoot arcs of Dust and such."

Sammey White

Sammey White
"A bow user?" Sammey nodded it was every day someone had a bow for her weapon. "I haven't seen any of those around yet," Sammey was going to say something but Mathilde started to talk about her weapon and what she wanted to do with it. As Mathilde was saying what she wanted to do with her weapon and is sounded… It sounded like something fun to try but it may kill/hurt if not done right. As Sammey was thinking on what it would do and how to do it and so on. It wasn’t long at all for Sammey to get a little light pop up form the top of her head.

She then crouched down to her thing and pulled out a notebook and a pen and got back up and opened it and started to write things down. It was ways on how to get the dust on and like 8 kind of dust only slowing down a few time to look at Mathilde’s weapon. It all happened in about one min and she closed her notebook and set it down and nodded at Mathilde.

Mathilde Harmaa

Mathilde Harmaa
The girl seemed to fall completely silent now, which led to Mathilde arching an eyebrow and opening her mouth to speak. Though she refrained from doing just that when Sammey pulled out a notebook and started to write down a lot in a relative short time. Casting the occasional glance at Hallowed Redeemer. Which caused Mathilde to pull the scythe a bit closer subconsciously. A bit worried, feeling as if the weapon itself now was a vulnerable and rather emerassing item. So, this was what awkwardness felt like? Genuinely fun to know. Though she'd rather not experience it again. It was good to know what it felt like. It was less fun to actually experience.

When Sammey was done writing, she closed the notebook and just nodded at her. Nodded for what? Did she ask a question somewhre, or was it for confirmation? Once again, she frowned, before coughing softly. "Ehrm.. Excuse me?" She tried to feign a smile, still frowning slightly. "What.. Did you just do? What just happened?" She sounded a tad bashful and uncertain, a first in years, but she was genuinely confused as to what Sammey did and why it lead to the nodding at herself.

(( I'd like to apologize for a lack of proper writing and a possibly rushed post. I found a brief moment to post, so I seized it. ))

"What.. Did you just do? What just happened?" Sammey seen Mathilde grabbed and pull her weapon closer to herself, Making Sammey take a step back and rested her hand on her bow with the arrow in the same hand. She is hoping nothing is going to happen but if it did she was ready to run off or fight if needed. She is trying to think of something to help calm things down but her was to scared and thinking of attacks and or running plans in her head to really do anything els. Than someone walked by “hey careful if that blow hard of a professor Madam Haze is going to give you two hell.” and they just keep walking. Than made Sammey jump up a little and helped her clam down and start to think with a calm and clear mind. “Hm-hmmm wh-what ki-kind of dus-dust d-do you think you-you’re going to us-use for you-you’re wea-weapon?
