The beach was a place Rika hadn’t gone to often, as she’d never really thought about visiting it before. While she COULD swim, she’d only ever swam in lakes or rivers before, but she’d never really needed a swimsuit before and as such had to actually go out and get one. Rika didn’t really know much about the weird outfits, and the whole thing felt a bit weird on her in general, and she’d needed some help with actually deciding on the one she’d ended up buying.

The swimsuit the pigtailed girl wore was something of a weird skirted one piece thing…one that Rika thought looked pretty good on her, even if not exactly like what she normally wear. Not that Rika let that bug her too much. What was a bit weirder for her was the fact she had left her hair unbound for once, rather than the tight pigtail she’d normally worn when out in public. The person she was meeting came to mind briefly as Rika walked to the seaside restaurant, and she had a second to puzzle out once again the weird feelings she’d been having last time.

Rika didn’t really get fully what was going on between the two of them, but figured it couldn’t really be bad…probably so it would definitely be worth seeing how things went. Though she still didn’t get most of this. Regardless she continued towards the restaurant she was supposed to be meeting Tokaru at, oblivious to any stares the cute redhead may have gained along the way.

As the day began a normally as it would for anyone, the beginning of the day for Tokaru was simple, he got up early, like six in the morning early, exercised until eight, taking fifteen minute breaks in between every half hour. Then followed by studying up on his classwork and biology text books until ten; then proceed to do errands that where needed to be done, one of which was to get himself a pair of swim trunks, he proceeded to enter Bellmuses shopping section, he walked around for hours it seemed. Until he found a decent store, with not so high prices, he purchased a pair of black trunks with red dragon images stitched into the fabric, he got a towel, encase he or Rika got wet. And while walking and looking at the wares, his mind wandered about Rika, the brilliant red head he met the other day, his cheeks blushed every time he thought about how cute she was and how easy it was to ask her out. "I still can't believe she said yes."

He pondered quietly to himself while around six or so, he took his medicine, he needed to take this as he was nearing the end of the cycle of the last time he took it was about six hour ago, afterwards, he let it settle before returning to walking down Bellmuse, he was already in his trunks as he had a bag with him. He knew the place to meet Rika at was along the beachside, as the cobblestone ground quickly turned into gravel, he spotted the beach about five minutes out, the black haired lad grinned when he saw a figure in the distance. His slow walk turned into a brisk jog before he finally reached the warm, soft white sands of Bellmuses beach, he quickly noticed the figure in the distance was whom he thought it was. Seeing the strands of crimson locks dancing in the breeze as his own fluttered about, cascading over his face from time to time as his emerald eyes locked onto the being, shielded behind a pair of squared framed spectacles.

He quickly called out to Rika, whom he admired the swimsuit she had on. "Hey Rika, sorry I'm late, hope you understand, had to run some errands beforehand and get this swim trunks." "You look great by the way, your swimsuit fits you well." He said, shooting her a wink before walking up to her, his skin giving off a sweet, fruity smell, as he washed up before coming, and his Semblance was leaking over his skin to keep him cool during the warm day. Despite him being a viper faunus, he wasn't cold blooded and did like to keep himself cooled during blistering days, but the late afternoon was quite calmer in temperature than the earlier portions. "So, you ready?" He asked her, being rather intrigued about it, as this whole day piqued his curiosity; especially how Rika would react to the restaurant. "Well, let's get going, shall we?" He yet again spurted out his words, leaning in and giving her a hug before taking her hand and gently tugging her to come along, coaxing her to lightly walk, as the breeze made his hair dance more, and the towel around his shoulders to shift.

The normally pigtailed Cat-faunus hadn’t spent much time at the beach, and so the sites and smells of it were quite distracting to her. There were plenty of people out on the beach today it seemed, as the day had been rather hot. A number of stands had been put up on the beachfront to sell various foodstuffs to the beachgoers. The crowds had thinned from when they were at their peak earlier in the day. So that while there were still people around, it wasn’t anywhere near overcrowded the way it could have been.

The sights and sounds were more than enough to distract Rika, and so she hadn’t noticed Tokaru approaching until he’d finally addressed her. The redhead turned around to with a grin, genuinely happy to see him. “It ain’t no problem or nothin, this place is great!!” She proclaimed She still felt a bit weird about being around the guy, but she’d meditated about the issue and decided that she didn’t necessarily dislike it. Her grin only widened when she was complemented, figuring it was a good idea to follow that saleswoman’s advice. She nodded when he asked if she was ready, and even decided to let him hug her. “So what’s this place ya got us goin’ to again?” Rika asked, she still felt a bit weird about all of this, but so far it seemed pretty good so, the cat faunus allowed the long hair man to lead her to wherever.
