It was what one would consider quite a nice day out. No Grimm to be heard of in the vicinity, nothing was going wrong, no delinquent students to try and screw with the atmosphere. So it was at a lovely time like this that Oliver decided that he’d go to the courtyard on his day off from classes to enjoy the view of the courtyard, as the only other time he’d been there he had to fight off some crazed, fireball lobbing, axe murderer. Who’s axe was also a gun, for the record. If any were to have been looking for Oliver however, one would find him sprawled out across a bench staring up at the clouds. His weapon resting against the side of the bench that he currently found himself sprawled out across. Oliver had been laying there for a good fifteen minutes or so. Simply watching the clouds roll by as he slightly bobbed his head about to a tune, that was conveniently playing from the headphones clasped around his ears. From a distance one could presume Oliver wasn’t expecting anyone to come and bother him.

A day without classes, assignments, or irritating hunts to go on was typically the sort of day Albert spent alone in his room. Between various fits of reading, sleeping, or just trying to gather one's own thoughts amid the haze, one could not help but feel simultaneously contented and bored by the very thought that this was routine.

After al, routines were something the youth loathed. Doing the same thing day in and day out was hardly living regardless as to how dynamic the tasks were. If they weren't inherently interesting or didn't have a high potential of it, one couldn't help but feel as though their time was wasted on it. He still did such things, but it didn't mean he was happy about having to. Conversely, books wouldn't read themselves nor was Albert particularly interested in dealing with others on most of these days, not out of asocial tendencies but rather, because he simply seemed to feel more like laying in bed upon waking up, as lazy as it was.

Naturally, there was always an exception to the rule. On this particular day, Albert soon grew bored with reading and decided to go out in search of someone to have a conversation with. Even the least interesting people could have leaked information about who was the most, and so the youth strode out into the courtyard in his usual jacket lined with fur.

The sharp eyes scanned the campus for someone who stood out amongst the rest. A crowd would have been nice, and yet crowds were entirely more chaotic than trying to talk to just one person, so the very notion of that was put out of his head like it had never existed in the first place. Sighing, he soon spotted a rather strange looking weapon laying against a bench. At the very least, it was more unique than the typical swords or rifles one had become accustomed to seeing.

And so Albert approached, hovering over the other student at a distance that, while close enough for the boy listening to music to register himself as being spoken to, was also not so close as to provide a lack of comfort. One must have thought it odd, to suddenly see the colourless sky and clouds blocked by the student's characteristic grin.

"Excuse me. Is that weapon over there yours?"

And then he stopped, in case he might have had to repeat himself. One might have assumed him to be socially inept based on this fact, and indeed there was some truth to this claim. Albert's people skills were often fairly functional at best, if only because of his perpetual apathy and occasional penchant for borderline sociopathic behaviour in the sake of interest. Yet in all actuality, it was simply disregard for the other male's state while it could have been construed as the former rather than the latter.

Oliver had been enjoying his cloud watching, edm session. However only to have his vision obscured by the face of a student in a jacket similar in style to his new one. Taking off his headphones with almost impeccable timing Oliver heard the boy raise the question related to his weapon, Malevolent Wyvern. “Oh, yeah that’s mine.” Oliver reached behind him to pick the buzz-saw abomination up from against the bench. “It was a pain to get to work. But It works as intended. Hasn’t had an issue yet.” He held it outstretched for the boy to examine. “You can have a look if you want. It doesn’t bite, hopefully. If it does it hasn’t bitten me yet.” Oliver let out a slight chuckle before a standard of his personality, his heartwarming smile, graced his features as he stretched slightly and sat up. “That was a quality bench. Remind me to remember where this bench is.” Oliver cracked his knuckles and stuffed his hands into his pockets as he sat up. However in the time that Oliver had his hands out, if one were observant enough to notice, they would see that his fingers would be tipped with black claws similar to that of a bear’s. However with his hands in his pockets, Oliver looked completely human. From head to toe. Despite the fact that he was a Faunus.

"Looks heavy." Kei casually remarked as he suddenly jumped into the conversation with two strangers; one of which who was previously listening to music and owned a axe-like weapon, the other who was currently talking to this person.

Kei sat himself next to the one with the axe, slouching back throwing an arm across the back of the bench.
"It's fall and it's still this hot," Kei sighed looking up into the clear sunlit sky , "I can tell you that I'm not entirely a saint, but I can assure you I'm not that bad that some superior deity should punish me with this summer weather in the midst of fall."

Kei quickly studied the two strangers, but it was difficult to make much out of both of them, seeing as how he had just arrived here. Kei's arrival into the conversation was not motivated by any reason other than the fact that this was the only bench in the area. Of course it would be weird to sit at a bench in which a conversation was currently occurring at without actually joining the conversation. This being the case, Kei kinda joined the conversation.

Every since the event in which Zun shutdown the school with a single punch, he was never allowed train with everyone else in the academy...which was fine with him, because he was used to training alone, and as long as he could train it didn't matter where. There were physical challenges all around him, and what a punching bag could tag simply didn't compare to what an old oak tree would take.

Zun first bowed to the tree, showing respect to the old oak, and then he struck it. He struck the tree with a number of blows, the bark flying everywhere and the tree groaning with each strike, and he made sure not to put his full strength into it as he was testing these bandages that the academy had given him. He was told they would 'protect him from himself' but he had no idea what that meant, he just knew that his upper body didn't hurt after striking the tree twenty-five times...nor did it hurt at fifty...nor at one hundred...or the next hundred. Zun gathered that normally, even without full striking power, he would normally be a bit winded at this point and that his upper body would be flooded with pain, but such was not that case now...thanks to these bandages.

That's when Zun decided it was time for a full test run. He turned to face an untouched tree, and he stood there for a bit, and focused. He then struck the tree at around sixty-five percent of his full strength...and he felt little force against his body, but he did see the crack in the tree and he did hear the groan as it began to fall. Instinct kicked in, and he jumped up into a forward flip and kicked the tree upward so that it wouldn't fall...at about eighty percent power. The tree disconnected from the stump and flew into the air so high, one could barely see it, but Zun could tell it was heading towards the academy...so he bolt in that direction as fast as he could.

Being faster than he was strong, he was able to outpace the falling tree. He ended up near a bench where some other guys were apparently hanging out. He waved at them, always excited to see new people, and walked towards them as he spoke.

'HEY YOU GUYS, WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUT HERE BY THE BENCH? IT'S REALLY NICE TO MEET YOU, MY NAME IS-' Zun heard the whistling 'wooshy' noise of something falling, and immediately realized that he had forgotten about the tree, but it hadn't forgotten about falling. 'WHOOPS, HOLD ON GUYS!' Zun took the hand he was waving with and held it straight up, palm still open. The tree took just a couple more seconds, but it then fell right where Zun was, and he caught it with his one hand without straining. He then waved at them with his other hand.

'ALRIGHT, HEY GUYS, MY NAME IS ZUN! DO YOU GUYS LIKE TO EAT STEAK? STEAK IS MY FAVORITE THING TO EAT! I REALLY LIKE IT WITH POTATOES AND-' Zun then eyed the sharp metal thing in one of the guy's hands. It looked really cool, and Zun REALLY wanted to see it. Without a second thought he tossed (more like launched) the tree off his one hand behind him, it flying a little way until it crashed somewhere back into the nearby forest. He then zipped up and grabbed the weapon.

'OHH, WHAT IS THIS? IT'S PRETTY COOL, IS IT YOURS?' He said, looking at the man who's hand he just took it from. 'DID YOU MAKE IT? IT SEEMS PRETTY LIGHT, BUT ALSO KINDA SHARP! DO YOU CUT PIZZA OR STEAK WITH IT?' He tossed the weapon up and and let it fall so that he caught it, and he kept doing this repeatedly.

'OH, MAYBE IT OPENS CANS OF RAVIOLI! OH, OR MAYBE IT STIRS TOGETHER PIZZA SAUCE! ARE YOU A CHEF? I'VE NEVER SEEN YOU IN THE CAFETERIA BEFORE, MAYBE YOU WORK IN THE BACK? OH, OR MAYBE IT'S A WEAPON OF SOME SORT! DO YOU THROW IT TO THE DISTRACT AN OPPONENT BEFORE YOU PUNCH THEM? OR MAYBE THROW IT AT THEM BEFORE YOU PUNCH THEM? OH, OR MAYBE YOU PUT IT ON YOUR ARM SO THAT YOU CAN CUT THOSE RED-EYED BLACK THINGS AS YOU PUNCH THEM!' Zun seemed very intrigued about the metal item, and looked at the man who had previously held it for answers.

If one wanted to see something odd, they should have simply gone to Syne Academy. Typically hunters of all sorts were the most interesting people in the world, if not for their quirks or their histories then at the very least for their bizarre weapons and the unique forms they could take. Granted, prior to becoming a hunter himself, Albert had been wholeheartedly confined to the realm of books and shoddy newspapers for such information and thus, had come to expect a slightly romanticised image.

Namely, the simple fact that most who weren't so quirky they seemed to instil everything they did with a one-note personality, were instead proud warrior types all too pleased to be hunters. Of course, both images had been distilled in the first few days of classes, but not entirely done away with. So naturally, it seemed to be some sort of oddity when the male was offered a closer look at the other's weapon.

He was so... nice.

And nicety of that sort was so terribly boorish in its own way. Rather, it was what lurked beneath the kindness that made one wonder.

Though before he could properly take the weapon and examine it, they were suddenly joined by another. One who seemed at least partially familiar to him for a moment before at last, the dots connected. Long coat, mask.. reaching out to take the weapon, the male rather nonchalantly examined it whilst speaking,

"Well, this is certainly interesting. Both this weapon, and your appearance. I'm afraid I've forgotten your name, but that hunt was... well, interesting in a way."

He mused, if only because it seemed perfectly polite to do so. Otherwise he wouldn't have bothered mentioning those events or the other person in the slightest. He seemed, in a way, just as content to but in and out of the conversation as Albert was to forego his existence entirely. It was just a shame that other person happened to be nice enough to be the kind to acknowledge his presence and involve him.

And speaking of things that one did not want to acknowledge..

Just as Albert was about to hand the weapon back to its owner and continue the conversation, his ears were filled with a sudden blast of noise. Then another, and another after that that er sensory overload. Turning to face its owner, he found his very personality, his very -being- to be an overwhelming presence in and of itself. If not for his tendency to scream and speak of food, one would have considered him interesting.

Shame. I suppose I'll have to buy earplugs.

Completely stunned when the weapon was taken from him, Albert simply adopted a look of surprise for a moment before the angular features curled into a serpentine smirk. Adjusting his coat, the youth finally saw his chance to say something, anything...

"Are you having trouble controlling the volume of your voice? Either way, Albert Camaieu. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, all of you."

Oliver Balcross

Oliver sat with his hands stuffed in his pockets and nodded as Albert made his observations about his weapon. Only to be slightly surprised by someone sitting down beside him. He would inch over slightly and make a bit of room for the man, alongside nodding in response to his question. “It’s not as heavy as one might think actually.” Oliver smiled slightly and turned to look back at Albert. Giving a slight chuckle at the man’s comment. “Tell me about it. My coat doesn’t help me any either, fur lined and all.” Oliver had been enjoying his day up until the screaming started. Luckily for Oliver he wasn’t a feline faunus and possessed feline ears. Oh boy he’d be in for a riot of he were. However the screaming of one student, in such close proximity mind you, caused Oliver’s clawed hands to instantly retract around his ears to help muffle the loud noises. Only to be startled even more by a tree falling towards them. He sat in perfect silence and stillness. Staring at both the new arrival and Albert. However once the new arrival snatched up his precious weapon into his grabby mitts Oliver decided he’d had enough of this black haired noisestorm’s antics. Raising a finger forward and somehow (using his semblance) floated the axe out of the strongman’s hands and back into his own clawed grasp. “I’ll have you know, I don’t like it when my weapon is tossed about like a ball of yarn between a cat’s paws. Or seized from someone’s grasp by greedy, careless mitts.” To say Oliver was cross would be an understatement. At this point, Oliver was close to being furious.

"Tell me about it." Kei simply replied to the axe-wielder.

Kei hadn't realized it at first, but it seemed the one who was originally talking to the axe-wielder was from a previous hunt. If Kei was recalling correctly, he was the Sniper who had provided unwelcome assistance in a battle against some Grimm. Kei learned that his name was Albert

"Don't worry about it," Kei casually remarked when Albert mentioned not knowing his name, "We didn't really have proper introduction back then, so I can't really get mad this time around. Call me Kei."

What seemed to be out of nowhere was the appearance of the loud training junkie one was not an enjoyable one. It shook peace that held the moment and replaced it with chaos. It was too early in the day for this. On top of that, Kei could see that he was not alone and that the other two were not currently enjoying the company of the loud training junkie.

"You know, there are two kinds of people I hate in this world," Kei complained to the loud training junkie, not sure entirely how he should respond, "The first being those spoiled girls who grew up with their father giving them everything they wanted and will use the word 'daddy' in every other sentence if you try to hold a conversation with them. The second type of people I hate are those who don't restock a roll of toilet paper after they use it all up."
Kei sighed and shook his head, "Right now, I'm really tempted to make this list a three parter by adding 'loud training junkies' to it."

It seemed that he had gotten the attention of the group of guys hanging out, which was great. Zun loved meeting new people and making friends, and now he was about to have three new ones to hang out with.

'WHAT'S VOLUME? CAN YOU EAT THAT? HEY THERE ALBERT, MY NAME IS ZU-OH, I ALREADY SAID THAT! I DON'T KNOW WHAT AN ACQUAINTANCE IS, BUT NICE TO MEET YOU ALBERT.'

Zun suddenly felt something tugging the item in his hand, and he turned in time to see the other guy point is finger and make the cool thing float back into his hand. Zun's eyes went wide from surprise, that he only caught about half of what the guy said before he got excited again.

'WHOA, THAT WAS AWESOME!!! SO IT'S YOUR WEAPON, NOT HIS? DID YOU MAKE IT, IT'S PRETTY COOL! HEY, HOW DID YOU DO THAT? CAN YOU TEACH ME HOW TO DO THAT? CAN YOU MAKE ANYTHING COME TO YOU? THAT WOULD BE REALLY USEFUL TO KNOW, THEN I COULD BRING PEOPLE TO ME SO I COULD PUNCH THEM RATHER THAN HAVING TO RUN TO THEM!'

Zun then turned to the third man with the red cloth face who was talking. He spoke with a lot of words, so Zun missed most of them, but he picked up something about girls and toilet paper...and it seemed that this guy didn't like them at all. He also said something about loud training junkies, but Zun didn't really understand that either, other than he had said the word 'training' and he had said it in a negative undertone.

'WHY DON'T YOU LIKE GIRLS OR TOILET PAPER? THEY SEEM OKAY TO ME! DID YOU NOT GET THE RIGHT KIND OF TOILET PAPER? THERE ARE A LOT OF DIFFERENT KINDS, I SAW THEM AT A STORE ONCE! HEY, WHAT IS A TRAINING JUNKIE? DO YOU PUNCH IT? DO YOU NOT LIKE TRAINING? WHY WOULD YOU NOT LIKE TRAINING, IT'S LOTS OF FUN!'

Suddenly Zun jumped for joy: the thought came across his mind that these guys were now his friends, and as such they could do stuff together and have fun. This made Zun that much more excited and very happy, he always liked hang out with friends and doing things with them. He jumped three more times and then moved with his excitement, ending up to the side of the man who had magic powers before he began talking again.

'WOOHOO, WE'RE FRIENDS NOW. NOW WE CAN HANG OUT TOGETHER AND DO FUN STUFF! OH, I KNOW! WE COULD GO GET SOME FOOD INSIDE! I KNOW THE CHEF GUY AND HE MAKES AWESOME STEAK AND SANDWICHES!' Zun then zoomed over to where he was behind the man who's name started with an 'A'... or at least Zun was sure it did.

'OR MAYBE WE COULD GO TRAIN! I'M NOT ALLOWED TO TRAIN INSIDE, SO I TRAIN IN THE FOREST! THE TREES AREN'T VERY STRONG BECAUSE THEY CAN ONLY TAKE A COUPLE OF PUNCHES, BUT THERE ARE A LOT OF THEM SO THERE SHOULD BE PLENTY FOR ALL OF US!' Zun then disappeared again and reappeared atop the shoulder of the red cloth man.

'OOOHHH! OR MAYBE WE COULD GO OFF AND FIND SOME OF THOSE WEIRD RED WHITE AND BLACK THINGS THAT GO POOF WHEN YOU PUNCH THEM! WE COULD GO FIND ENOUGH TO HAVE TEN FOR EACH OF US, AND THEN BEAT THEM TO DUST!' Zun exclaimed as he threw out a bunch of jabs and varies punches into the air in front of him. He then zoomed off the red cloth man's shoulders and was back where he had been standing with the group before.

'ALL THOSE THINGS SOUND LIKE FUN, WE SHOULD GO DO ONE OF THOSE! OR MAYBE YOU GUYS KNOW OF SOME FUN THINGS TOO? IF YOU DO, THEN WE COULD GO DO THAT, OR MAYBE ALL OF THEM! WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK WE SHOULD DO?' Zun was so full of energy that he couldn't stand still, shuffling in place like he was ready to tussle with someone.

Albert Camaieu

Perhaps it was because the youth had a tendency to immediately forget the things he found vexing or uninteresting whenever possible, but the instant Zun asked him what volume was and introduced himself, the red-brown eyes widened slightly. Something just seemed to *click* within Albert in that instant, between the entrance, the demeanour, the intelligence, and the name... Awkwardly, he ran his fingers through his hair and tried to sound as nonchalant as he possibly could,

"We've... met before. Remember, uhm... 'bored guy?' 'Sniper rifle guy' maybe? Or what about 'coat guy?'"

He honestly couldn't remember if Zun had bothered to call him any such names, but it certainly seemed like something he would say and thus, Albert had said it regardless. It was rather obvious too, for at first glance the apathy, the weapon, and the sense of style were all perfectly unique in their own little way, if not individually then certainly on the whole. After all, in their little group three of the four had coats of some sort, but none of them met the specific combination that he did in the same way that he lacked Oliver's claws or Kei's mask.

Exhaling, the youth watched as Oliver seemingly willed his weapon back into his own hands, which in turn prompted one to wonder while the slight scolding took place. Was it polarity? Some kind of telekinesis? Given the limitless possibilities for semblances (or the potential that it was merely wire or something equally mundane) one could not truly comprehend and so, he became excited. Not outwardly, but a sort of inward seed of excitement that spread out momentarily and then died off as he asked.

"You've piqued my interest. How -did- you do that, exactly? I mean, it's clearly your semblance or a wire, but I think you know I want specifics."

And then the one with the mask belted out a sea of words, prompting Albert to simply sigh and take it all in. Certainly it was sensible, almost cliched in its own little way, yet it was simultaneously a little ironic that one who kept their mouth hidden would speak so very much. Not that he cared... it was simply an interesting character trait of his, albeit one that stood out in its own little way.

Perhaps it was a bit odd that, in his response, the training junkie simultaneously denied (or at least didn't understand) and proved Kei's statement. Albert almost felt bad for letting even as much as an internal laugh escape him, if only because he felt like he was mocking someone who had very little in the way of mental faculties. Either that, or maybe it was because from what little he could recall of Zun, he was at least trying to be nice. It was merely his volume and cluelessness that detracted from it...

"It's someone who---"

Naturally he didn't a chance to finish. One felt as though in Zun's overwhelming presence, finishing a statement was an accomplishment worthy of a medal. Though it was apparent that the apathetic's features softened into the usual smirk when the energetic male brought forth the possibility of lunch, solely because it seemed to remind him that yes, food was important and no, he hadn't had steak in a long time. Too long! Quite interesting, how one who did not particularly enjoy eating would miss something like that, no?

In fact, Albert immediately tuned out the remainder of the man's suggestions in favour of that one. That, and getting his rifle would require going back to his dorm room, which may or may not have tempted him into sleeping or reading.

"In all honesty... I haven't eaten yet today. It would be nice to do so."

Oliver Balcross

Oliver Balcross
Oliver sat on the bench with a finger upraised the moment he managed to pick up Albert’s question out of the screaming coming from Zun’s mouth. He waited for the entire spiel to be finished before starting, “Are you quite done?” After waiting for a few seconds Oliver would nod and sigh. “Good. For starters, yes, that was my Semblance that grabbed my weapon. Wood Telekinesis. Doesn’t work on people, unless they’re wearing wood for some reason. Like wood armour for example. At any rate though, yes. I feel lunch would be nice.” Oliver seemed to have deflected a good chunk of Zun’s topics of conversation, as he didn’t seem to particularly care about a good majority of them. “Where you guys want to go? School cafeteria? Somewhere in town? I’m down for wherever as long as it has salmon.” Oliver started in a rather venomous tone, however as soon as he seemed to think of the idea of having salmon his mood brightened, back to that of before Zun came in and started yelling, in an instant.

"I give up with you," Kei sighed as he shook his head to the loud training junkie, "It's become clear to me it doesn't matter what I say, the results are going to be the same."

"Food?" Kei thought for a second as the others began to bring it up. Kei wasn't really the social type and often turned away situations like this if it didn't benefit him.
Well, Kei decided, Perhaps I can trick one of them to cover my tab for some reason. I doubt the sniper wielder or the axe wielder would easily believe my reason, but I bet I could get the loud training junkie to do it....

Well. Time to make friends.

"Food doesn't sound so bad. I've suddenly worked up an appetite somewhere in this recent conversation." Kei said casually to all of them, then added last minute, "Oh, and by the way, I get insecure eating around people I don't know. So let me start by introducing myself, call me Kei."

Zun was so excited that he missed most of the conversations being had, mainly those directed at him. He was just so excited about having new friends that he couldn't contain himself. The guy who's name began with something spoke up, saying something about Coat Guy or Bored Guy...and that's when Zun remembered him.

'HEY, BORED GUY, I REMEMBER YOU NOW! I SAW YOU WITH THAT OLDER GUY A WHILE AGO! GLAD TO SEE YOU AGAIN!' Zun was about to ramble on when it just clicked with him that everyone agreed to go get something to eat.

'YEAH, ALRIGHT, LET'S GO EAT! I ONLY ATE ABOUT THIRTY MINUTES AGO, SO I COULD GO FOR SOMETHING TO EAT NOW! LET'S CHECK OUT A NEW PLACE, EATING AT NEW EATING PLACES IT LOTS OF FUN! OH BOY, SHOULD I GET A STEAK, OR A BURGER, OR SOME CHICKEN, OR MAYBE POTATOES, OR MAYBE...' Zun continued to rattle off various delicious things to eat, stuck in his own little world of delicious food.
