The soft brushing of leaf on leaf resounded as a soft wind caressed the treetops. Mathilde stood at the edge of the forest, having stepped from the airship that had taken her here. With a soft thud, she slowly lowered the massive scythe to the floor. She glanced down at her gloved hand.

"Shield receptors active. Monitoring ready. Reminder: Please send combat data to the board ASAP." The voice programmed in her head chimed in, before being muted completely. Forgotten, as if it never existed.

She clenched a fist. The leather glove cracking softly, looking to the forest. Before cast a glance over her shoulder. At the partner she had called up for this hunt. Who seemed to exit the airship after her. Mathilde was quite confident there wouldn't be any kind of hostiles at their landing zone, but certainty was never present. Her getting out first was just to be safe.

And if she was to follow Charlotte's remark and create a team, there was no harm in becoming properly oriented, after all. A soft smile, before she glanced back at the forest. "Here we are," she stated with a soft sigh. Pulling the scythe up and resting it over her shoulder.

"The contract did state numbers would vary. Any thoughts, Charlotte?"

Charlotte was having a little bit of bother traversing the forrest; roots, branches and all manner of shrub getting in her way. Having such a broad stance was making things difficult but she was keeping pace to the best of her ability, lagging only a few eight legged steps behind Mathilde. Begining to roll up her sleeves she thought for a moment; "I suppose it depends if we get the drop on them or they get the drop on us. If we stopped could begin to set a trap, web to slow a target upon contact... though I'd have to know what I'd be setting it for in order to utilise it, if I anticipate land based Grimm like Creeps and we end up with Griffon or Nevermore we'd be in some trouble. A trap we set could become a trap for us."

She brought her hands together and white steamy wisps began to leak from between her netted fingers. "With that in mind... keeping moving is probably the better idea. I'll begin to craft a net, should we encounter and it dares to rush us I should be able to ensnare it. Set things up perfectly for you to deal whatever killing blow is required. While I'm not much for fighting I can certainly take a blow well so presuming I can draw their attention through utilising my webs you should be able to strike them and double back unharmed to await the next opening..."

Charlotte paused in thought for a moment; "I am unsure how useful this would be, it requires that you turn off your semblance, but if you could enter the treetops you would be further still out of harms way and in an even better position to strike a target. Of course again this pends grimm type, but it would also let you keep an eye out for airborne grimm should they appear."

She nodded slowly. The tactical assessment was hard to make since they didn't know what they were up against to any extent. There were loose reports originating from a small hive. Some claimed to have seen just a few beowulf, others claimed to have seen gheists and nevermores in the area. There was even the telling of a rumour that there was a Grimm unencountered before. Though this was quickly dismissed. Anything beyond the usual classifications would warrant far more interest. And a far more widespread knowledge of it's existence. "We should avoid posting a trap, then," Mathilde suggesting. Grasping a log in her way and tossing it to the side with her free arm. "It will be empty effort." She glanced back at her arachnid companion, nodding in agreement.

"I will be taking the punishment, ideally," she answered Charlotte. After all, her rig was made to take damage. She gave a faint smile and shook her head, before looking back in the direction she was headed. Heal tapping on a wooden branch as she stopped. "It's not really a thing I can turn off, sadly," she explained. Before she silenced herself. Glancing around. "Do you hear that?"

Charlotte shook her head; "I can assure you I take blows far better than most any other medical major. If it comes down to it allow me to sustain injury, besides for you that would mean potential days wasted in a doctor's care while I would actively learn from treating my own injuries. We've just returned from the Winter break, to have another forced so soon would be quite tedious I assume." The look in her eye was quite serious; while she wasn't intent on taking unnecessary damage she would not abide Mathilde taking damage in her place.

Charlotte would pause to listen, taking in the area around them. Unfortunately the tree-line was quite dense and thus it was both impossible to accurately find the grimm they were after but the bouncing of sound against the trees meant they couldn't be certain where the target was coming from. Atop the difficulty tracking the sound to it's source the reverberation had affected the sound and thus made it more difficult to even identify the grimm itself. "While I believe I do... I am unsure what use it provides us. We can probably guess that it is quite close, though the direction and size... perhaps check the ground around us. I am unsure if larger grimm would enter an area like this, so cramped, but if it is smaller the beat may lie directly ahead of us."

Charlotte's hands were slowly spreading further apart, a great grey weave of sticking web housed within. Loosing it wasn't the easiest thing in the world, especially in these conditions, but if it meant a distraction or the capture of a target then it would be worthwhile. The two had left the path to track this grimm, daring to enter the close-nitt forest in order to faster find and destroy their target. This was both good, giving them more chance to find the creature, and very very dangerous.

Deathstalker

Deathstalker
Boredom and Hunger. Two of the worst feelings that can drive a human or a creature. In this case, a lone Deathstalker was on the prowl for some easy prey. It had been a while since it had properly terrorized the squishy human population of the kingdom. The last couple attempts to terrorize the population had been utter failures for its brethren as they had been decimated by various hunters armed with weapons ranging from Hand Cannons to Handguns.

However, the lone Deathstalker was feeling lucky today. It had been a rather quiet stroll through the forest clearings. Currently, there were no signs of hunters. However, there was quite a bit of wildlife running around the forest. In order to deal with its boredom, the lone Deathstalker began chasing one of the deer that crossed its path. However, the deer gracefully dodged the Deathstalker's attempt to capture it.

After about an hour of chasing it, the Deathstalker finally managed to capture it and devour it. When this was done, the Deathstalker has satisfied its hunger. Now, the only other thing to do was to deal with its boredom. In order to do this, the Deathstalker began roaming around the forested areas. This roaming caused the trees to break and fall over. After a while, these sounds caught the attention of two hunters that had been deployed to the area on a mission.

Mathilde shrugged softly. "Optimal case scenario would be no damage at all," she took a deep breath, a shimmer of blue sheening around her momentarily. "Though I'm durable enough as is. I have to be to fight with a weapon such as Hallowed Redeemer," Mathilde retorted, before rolling her shoulder. "The wildlife's silent," she added. "No birds chirping. It's clo-" she wanted to fall in, though her voice was interrupted by the roaming of a being that only could be of gargantuan proportion. Thumping on the ground, trees cracking and dropping. Pulling the scythe from her back, out of her neutral stance, rather holding it infront of her now with both hands, she marched on, dead silent.

"Grimm present," she whispered softly, glancing from behind the cover of a dead log. "Engaging in combat, isolated target." She moved around the log, silently so. Before breaking into a sprint, holding her scythe out. She'd turn the blade upwards and slide under the beast's left pincer, aiming the slice it off at the root at the unarmoured part. Her scythe moved around, and flung to move the back of the blade, that talon into the armoured part and propel her upwards. Her scythe moved once again, whizzing through the air to aim and attack just behind the stinger, aiming to tear it off.

"Well of course, but odds suggest that-" And before Charlotte could get another word out Mathilde was off, following a sound further into the forrest with her weapon drawn. Naturally it would be unwise to talk during an advance on the creature but Charlotte would have very much liked to plan this assault more thoroughly. Charlotte slowed herself further, attempting to keep track of every step was quite difficult. To make no sound, to give away no additional detail to the enemy...

Unable to hide behind the dead log due to her size, instead rounding an approaching from five meters to Mathilde's right, Charlotte prepared to act in accordance to her plan and draw fire. Having prepared the webbing in her hands she took a step into the clearing ahead of Miss Harma and bellowed; "I do believe you are my intended target!" She thrust her palms forward, wrists touching, and from them flew a thick globule of web shaped like fifty spider's webs layered atop one another. This attack was aimed for the creature's legs, specifically the centre one on it's left side. Not only would this stick into the beast's joints to slow it but, should one of it's legs make contact with another, she assumed the effect would be transferred and the legs would stick together. To immobilise the beast was but one of her priorities however.

She would continue to approach the grimm, raising her arms such that her knuckles were near parallel with her forehead. She was persevering forward with intent to take any and all oncoming blows, making use of her partner's own speed she was making herself an easy target. "Just try to break my aura, just try to stop me."

The Deathstalker was ready for the attacks from the huntress with the scythe. The huntress just rushed it in a rather straight forward fashion. The first strike that the huntress did was aimed at the fleshy bits of the Deathstalker's left claw. The Deathstalker quickly moved it left claw to the left slightly. However, the tip of the scythe still managed to nick part of the fleshy bit of its left claw. This nick caused the Deathstalker to recoil back away from the strike to it armored face. After this, the huntress with the Scythe aimed for it stinger.

The Deathstalker was having none of this. It quickly used it enormous right pincer and grabbed the huntress with the scythe in mid-air. Soon after, the Deathstalker gave the huntress an extremely hard pinch before throwing her off to the side into a whole bunch of trees.

After dealing with this, the Deathstalker turned it attention to the other huntress. This huntress was half-human/half-spider. Currently, she was in a defensive stance. In addition to this, the Deathstalker felt a sticky sensation on its center left leg. This sensation made the Deathstalker wary so it moved to the left slightly and scraped it center left leg against the trees.

After doing this, The Deathstalker got ready for to engage in combat with the huntresses with its stinger ready and it pincers ready.

Her scythe slammed in the ground as the Deathstalker recoiled away from her second attack. And she was too late to react to the oncoming pincer snagging her from the ground. She grit her teeth as she was tossed away like trash, smacking into a nearby tree and just breaking through it to come to a halt behind what was now a torn and half uprooted treestump. She pushed herself to her feet and pushed up her scythe to her shoulder. Grabbing one of the upsticking roots from the stump. And with a massive feat of strength, she pulled it out of the ground and used that momentum to hurl the stump over at the deathstalker, to knock it off balance and hopefully cause damage.

She immediately followed the treestump in it's trajectory, before sliding across the ground. Aiming to smack her scythe into the side of the Deathstalker, hoping to get into the exposed flesh. Followed by tearing her scythe back to make a deep and jagged incision.

For a moment, as Mathilde was thrown away, Charlotte felt a twinge of panic... for a further moment she attempted to snuff it however, upon remembering what little she knew of grimm she opted to embrace it. She allowed herself to go wide eyed, she focused on the worst case scenario. She believe that if she did, if she allowed such negative emotion to fuel her, she would prevent further damage to Mathilde by drawing the beast's attention. She allowed herself to be upset, she allowed the colour to drain from her face before returning in a bright red shade. Hands glowing their ghostly white she thrust her palms forward, white webs flying directly toward the deathstalker's red eyes. Good idea or not, fully understanding how little damage it would do, Charlotte would the rush directly between the pincers of the beast.

She moved with her right first raised and... swung! The damage the blow did would be pitiful, if it dealt damage at all, but anything to draw the beast's attention while her ally recovered would be worthwhile. Charlotte would attempt to stand her ground between the beast's claws, aura flaring around her. She was confident in her defences, and even if this beast could somehow pierce them... she'd simply patch herself back up!

Deathstalker
The Deathstalker soon heard the sound of a tree trunk getting pulled out of the ground coming from the area where it had thrown the huntress with the massive scythe. In response to this, the Death stalker decided to back up a bit which was a rather good move. A few moments after, a rather large tree trunk flew past it and impacted the pile of trees on the left side of the Deathstalker. The Deathstalker didn't have time to react to this as it felt the huntress with the massive scythe slam her weapon into the right side of the Deathstalker with extreme force. This strike caused the legs on the Deathstalker's left side to collapse which caused it to fall over to the left slightly. This left it open to the next hit that the huntress with the scythe did. The huntress pulled back on her scythe, which left an extremely large jagged incision in its wake.

This final strike soon sealed the fate of the Deathstalker. As the life filtered out of its "corpse", the Deathstalker tried vainly to defy its fate by pinching the air in front of it. However, this was pointless as it soon fell limp and black vapor formed around it as it disintegrated into a pool of black goo before disappearing to the nether where it came from.
