Link to the current plot thread

Because I am curious what people not actually involved in the current plot, aka the peanut gallery, have to say. Also a place to actually put our heads together and come up with something coherent. The current plot thread format kind of pits random people who don't know each other well or at all versus challenges that require instant teamwork. As much as it's an amusing callback to the forest test from season 1, in this case I feel it cost the princess her life.

So, what are your thoughts on the current proceedings?

Anyone want to comment on writing styles?

As for me, well I've cooled down now but this:

Hunter Smith wrote:(Sorry I'm Late~ I had to deal with travelling and school. That said, Just because I am unable to post doesnt mean everything you do goes through. There may be no post order, but the three day skip rule does apply You have to give people a chance to respond. Of course, I'm voiding basically everything that just happened anyway, but you know. Future reference.

Speaking of voiding everything, You all have failed the puzzle. We were looking for Majority teamwork/ Combo. Acting Simultaneously is not the same thing as acting together. While Marcus Did in fact more or less solve the puzzle, the solution was not properly executed. In any case, i am Keeping God Modding till the end of my next post, to insure that everything that happened in this post Remains. This means part two of the topic, the actual battle, Will start on my NEXT post. Death will remain enabled.)

Hunter Smith wrote:While Marcus Did in fact more or less solve the puzzle, the solution was not properly executed.

My Face When:

Yeah I freely admit Marcus going full Terminator does have something to do with my own feelings at the time.

My compliments to whomever plays Hunter, you've managed to create a villain that's truly loathesome. I want to reach through my screen and throttle the little cockroach, there's not a lot of villains that made me feel the same way. That's not sarcasm, it is really meant as a compliment. Good stories evoke emotions, not always happy ones, and I'm definitely getting that kick here. For me personally he's up there with Handsome Jack from Borderlands 2, though a little below Dio Brando from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

Lastly, Fenrir. I don't really know how to hint at this subtly but you're really setting yourself up for a punch to the face. That's not a threat, that's an analysis.

Fenrir doesn't seem to have a very stable mind....and he doesn't value any life (See how he refers to the princess as "harlot" as be ell as killing his own brother without a second thought) it also sounds like his family was under a geas to the Bellmuse royal family. It'll be interesting how the team interacts with each other and the king.

I think Paragon has punching Fenrir covered  Laughing now the real game of thrones stuff is starting...

(Voice over): last time, at Kompress Beach, the princess was killed, the obviously unhealthy assassin is ecstatic while everyone else is upset. Emotions rise as Marcus gets ready to beat the ever loving shit out of Hunter and Fenrir's motives are even more questionable than a used car bought in Southeast Asia. Kei is ready to bail but I'd it safe? Where are the guards Fenrir mentioned? Why does Hunter have the king queen and princess in space pods? Can James and Lapis diffuse the tension before the team self destructs? All this and more will be answered....eventually.....because Kei really didn't help anyone with his speech except for Fenrir who has an agenda that involves hiding the truth....

When you put it like that, it makes me sound like I want to kill puppies or some such Lonely.  I think I was being quite clear when I said it was in my best interest for the princess to die (insert thunder and lightning with ominous music).

I agree with Faeth, I think Paragon has the punching covered. :P

You wanted to kill a small child....that's worse than killing puppies.

His evil character....his design is evil...his backstory is evil...his occupation is evil.....He is...EEEEEEEEVVVVIIIIILLLLLLLLLL! Dun dun duuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnn!!!!!

I'm not judging. I just find it funny how he manages to get his character to be clearly insane in a lucid way.

Naw...I'm harshing judgely. Fenrir needs to write a letter of apology to the princess....oh....wait.....DAMNIT! Never mind then.....

Anyway, I think we derailed the train far enough. We should probably try to figure out Hunter's plot. He has the king, queen and princess in pods. He shot the princess but I highly doubt he would let her free anyway so there's that. Unless he shot the copy and the real one is in the pod but then why the king and queen...unless he wants to make us over think this....fuck........................I walked myself right into that.........

I gather you are a visual person who needs to see or feel something to figure it out. Anyway,  Hunter has made it quite clear that he isn't interested in war or anything like that. Also he refers to the princess as "rebellious". Since I haven't read every [plot] thread, I'm making some wild guesses but I think that at one point, Hunter had been royalty or at the very least connected to them. With the three in the pod and the fact that Plum isn't present means there's some deep anger issues that seem to have made him mentally unbalanced.

On that note, I wouldn't be surprised if he had switched princesses and the real one is the one in the pod. It would be the perfect mindfuck to throw out there and make us question our every move and action relating to the royals since now we don't know if the ones walking about are the real ones or if the ones in the pods are.

You're welcome Leena.

Also Fenrir I would like to make it clear OoC, I have no issues with you. Therefore I am going to point out that IC Fenrir's found the 'terminator mode' buttons inside Marcus' brain and started a tapdance on them.

That seems least likely. I wouldn't take it off the table yet, but I doubt Hunter is on the good side of the moral compass.

As for who's going to kill Hunter, I see either Marcus killing him outright or Fenrir killing him after he's been captured.

Even money on whether or not Marcus can even get to within mauling range given that Hunter will probably have plot armor miles thick. The way Hunter talks he's planning something bigger than death by buzzsaw.

If that happens, it'll activate my trap card Deus Ex Machina. It let's me special summon Alucard and Alexander Anderson to my field in the attack position should a god mod event happen. Further more, by special summoning them, I can bring in Sears Victoria in defense position. Her special effect allows her to directly attack Hunter's life points as many times as there are fighters on the field. With the eight of us plus Hunter and Alucard and Anderson and Seras, that makes 12 direct attacks for no less than 80000 life points. ...try to God mod out of that.

XD Yes! Peace and love conquers all!

Also, i feel like this is the best place to say it: Let's not start making things up about the history of Bellmuse and the kingdom. It kind of messes with future plots. This also goes for making up hunter's plans *cough*the dust thing *cough*

I second the question about Hunter's body.

Paragon wrote:So is Hunter's body still where we can get at it or is it inside a crow?))

Now on to Fenrir and his little tale. This kind of exploded on me, but I like to think that it exploded in a good way.

As far as the history bit goes, I interpreted it as propaganda. For one Grimm don't just follow humans, they go after fauna with equal gusto. Who knows how much else is made up wholesale? I can definitely see it as something a faction that lost a war would come up with. 'We totally could have won guys, it's not our fault! Our enemy is just so vile and despicable, they totally used Grimm against us!'. Demonising the other side is quite common in war after all: American 'slap a jap' or the German treatment of Jews during WWII, the current 'Hadji'/'raghead' trend, hell, as far back as the ancient conflict between the Persians and Greeks the habit is quite prominent.

Tie that to the general theme of lost history in play across all of Remnant. No one has any ____ing clue what happened a thousand years ago, the only link they have is some hearsay that got distorted over the many, many generations. Fenrir could very well be raised with a completely wrong picture of what actually went down.

Let me take this sacred bond thing he talked about as an example. What even is it? It could very well be an old mercenary contract from an invasion who-the-f___-knows-how-long-ago where the Sable clan actually betrayed the other clans for political clout under the new regime.

Or let's go the other way. The other faunus were not even the original inhabitants but the invaders, with the Sable clan the protectors of the humans who lived there in peace before. Under the pressure of the war though the humans they swore to protect actually rose up to the challenge, beat their plows into swords and founded the current royal line + the city. Ever since the Sable clan took a step back and changed to serve as the dagger in the dark rather than their former role as the shining shield.

I mean, it happened a thousand years ago. Ten people playing telephone cannot even get a single sentence retold properly over the course of a minute. Trusting several hundred to tell a story hundreds of lines long accurately, for generations upon generations?

Laughing

____ no, not happening. Just take the pieces of the story that you like and run with them. I have faith in your ability to throw it back into his face with maximum irony.

Well, it doesnt change the fact yhat it kinda messes with future plots. I just cant tell you why because that would ruin said future plots. :/

Fenrir

Fenrir
Damn Marcus...are you a telepath?

The whole point behind the story was, aside from giving Fenrir a legit reason for wanting Peri dead while not killing her himself when it's clearly within his ability to do so, to also introduce a central point of Fenrir's personal storyline. There's at least three variants of the story that I'll bring in at some point one of which involves the moon being exploded. The only thing these stories have in common is a high body count and the survivors forming the Sable Clan.

I get the feeling that as the Grand Plot of Bellmuse grows and we learn more about the kingdom, ancient family stories are going to be used against everyone who made one.

On a side note, what's to prevent Hunter from having notes on other experiments or articles from research magazines? Now I'm curious about void dust.
