Vella Brandeis [DONE]

The story of Vella is both a tragic and a mysterious one, but it is still a story in which this girl moves forward, leaving the past behind where it belongs. Her life was always a simple one, daughter of travelling merchants, she has seen the world with her eyes but only form the perspective of an innocent child. All she saw was pretty colors and happy people wherever she went with her parents and more often than she should have, on her own as well. "Exploring" by herself the treacherous unknown locales that she would visit with her parents, she would often be found by the townsfolk and brought back to safety where her parents would have been insulted for their neglect. It was true that both her father and her mother rarely cared about her. They weren't beating her at least, but neglecting a child can be as bad as abusing one. She never thought that it was a problem though, her ignorance protecting her from understanding the situation.

After years of travelling, Vella and her parents ended up settling up shop in a small remote village and this is where things changed. Without beating around the bushes, on one night, Vella was almost raped by a man but was saved by a tall and dark figure with green eyes that left the moment after it saved her. Minutes later, the girl was home, only to discover the bodies of her parents with the same dark figure towering over the corpses. With the recent rescue this thing did, Vella wouldn't believe that it was the thing that saved her that killed her parents. When authorities investigated the crime, they thought that the little girl was the murderer, especially with her blabbing about that tall figure that could have been an important witness but was nowhere to be found. Without any proof though, she wasn't accused of the murder but was diagnosed with PTSD, from which she recovered rather quickly.

After all that, she went back to her home where she found the same tall figure waiting for her there. What she assumed to be a man named Seraffin, Vella quickly grew attached to the thing that had saved her in the past, seeing him as a caring and protective yet timid older brother who followed her wherever she'd go and never did anything to harm her. The only weird thing with all this was that she was the only one that could see him, which sprouted doubt and fear about the girl. Wanting to protect her and offer her a better place to live, Raffy, as Vella likes to call him, somehow manage to convince her to go somewhere else, somewhere new. With his guidance, she got her hand on papers that would let her attend any Huntsman Academy of her liking, although illegally. She opted for Bellmuse Academy since it was somewhere she never visited with her parents. It's only on the airship going towards the academy that she wondered what would happen to her for the first time in years.

Sitting on a bench outside, a blonde fox girl was talking by herself. She was telling a story that would be familiar to most, but she was explaining it like if the one listening had never heard it before. Strangely though, this girl was all alone, on her own in her corner of the park, yet she looked like she was definitively talking to someone with the way her head was looking up as to meet someone else's eyes. When she was approached by another person, Vella immediately tensed up, staring at the girl who was now in front of her with distrust. The other girl, taller than the faunus, came to ask what she was doing, obviously weirded out by the lone girl's behavior. Simply saying that she was talking to her friend, the other girl nodded before leaving, obviously thinking that she was crazy. Not wanting to think about this girl more than she needed to, Vella continued her story, on her own in the corner of the park.
