Ser Lothric Ember

Ser Lothric Ember
Lothric had been walking around the forest for quite some time now and not that it was anything new for him to be heading towards the clearing as he always had loved the simplicity of it and the potential it had when it came for him to train his semblance in peace.

Having his armor Ignem Sudarium and had for once polished the complete set and the slight gleam from its charred color could be seen for some distance, at least when the sun was shining down on it as was the case for this part of the day, keeping his sword Sanctus Ignis sheathed to his side Lothric was now after his long walk standing in the center of the clearing and turned his gaze skywards before letting out a heavy sigh, while it was beautiful and silent here he wouldn't mind a few others to train with and even mayhap a Grimm or two could stumble his way as it was clear he needed something to distract him from the thoughts and potential outcome that might arrive sooner then later.

Pushing his thoughts to the back of his mind Lothric drew Sanctus Ignis and in a single movement unleashed a side ways swing before moving his right foot outwards slightly and leaned into the swing with his whole body as he continued the arc before shifting weight on his left foot and redirecting the swing backwards in the same arc, he continued this movement a few times before he started to practice stabs, chops, pummle strikes, guards and a few others as well.

While he was training Lothric had the distinct feeling he was being watched or had been watched and it was starting to bother him as if it was another person it would be rude but his thoughts where more on the potential for a Grimm to ambush him and after swinging his sword and practicing to be suddenly ambush was not a thought Lothric liked so he finished the practice before he scanned the edge of the clearing several times looking for the potential interloper.

James Gray

Woosh. Shhh.

James sighed in bliss as he felt the cold rush of air blow past him. The sounds of the cool winds passing through the leaves have always been a calming tune to the musically-inclined Faunus. His yukata acted much the same way, as the winds passing through the entrances of the arm sleeves typically generated a pleasant sound.

Today, however, was different. The snow-fox, dressed in his Kitsune outfit, sans the wig and mask, decided to a bit of training with his shield. What he would do to train, though, was still beyond him.

"Should I just shield bash some trees? Maybe practice running with it?"

James looked at the looming figure that is his tower shield and sighed. Defense and support is his primary game, but oh what he would do to have some more offense under his belt. He loved his shield, he really did. Saved his neck more than once.

Swoosh. Swish.

James blinked as his ears caught the sounds of something cutting through the air. Following the misplaced noises, he trekked the forest - his twin belts clinking with each step. The sounds eventually lead him to the edge of a clearing where a solitary figure was practicing.

Swift and fluid. Not a single movement wasted, with such impressive armor too. Shaking his head out of amazement, he noticed that the figure had finished their routine and was now scanning the area. More than likely, they sensed him watching.

Oops.

With a sheepish grin, the young Faunus entered into the clearing - his shield dragging behind him. He raised a free hand at the stranger and waved.

"Hey. Sorry, didn't mean to spy on your practice. I just followed sounds that I don't normally hear here and well, here I am." James chuckled awkwardly. Hopefully, he wasn't too mad.

Field testing. That was what Jun decided to dub it. It was what she continued to tell herself as she made her way through the forest for the first time, and alone at that. Yuu was still missing but her projects had to be put to the test. If her bodyguard/servant wasn’t able to do it then Jun supposed it was up to her instead. With each step of her simple brown boots, the chunky heels hitting the dirt, her auburn hair bounced up and down as it held its shape in a single ponytail at the back of her head. Her choice of wardrobe was one she felt comfortable with. Baggy clothing that covered her body as best as possible and was far more fitting of a “tomboy” like herself. There even appeared to be grease stains along her pants to indicate she had worn them before while tinkering with her projects. Of course her weapons were on full display as well. A set of thick, clunky looking gauntlets covered her forearms and hands completely with sword blades extending from the ends.

If anyone were around to look at her they would notice the girl seemed rather awkward and possibly terrified. Both of which were accurate, extremely so even. This whole thing about venturing out of her room without Yuu at her side was still a new thing for her and it was taking far more work to adjust to the problems than she’d have preferred. Several times in the last few minutes alone she pondered the possibility of just returning to her room, barricading the door, and living out her life working on creations that would never get proper tests. But as a designer and engineer she couldn’t bring herself to make anything that she couldn’t learn the flaws or strengths of firsthand.

Before she realized what was happening she found herself stumbling into an unexpected clearing, discovering two men already interacting with each other before her arrival. She stood there momentarily, frozen at the prospect of social interaction with the strangers and the reminder that they appeared to be male making it worse. One minute passed with her slightly shaking where she stood and then another. Finally she made a move, darting to try and hide behind a tree as fast as possible with her gauntlets clanking around and occasionally bashing against one another. It was obvious she was not an expert in any art of stealth.

It was a lovely day to go out and do some reading and what best place for something like this but out in the woods. She knew a nice little opening with some trees around. Sammey packed a little massager bag with a book she was going to read some water and some little thing to eat as well as her weapon and dust. "The-there that should be everything i'll need." She told her self as she got her things and started to head out to the Skylight Woods. The sun was still low in the sky so it wasn't noon yet and a little white haired girl walked into the wood work but the grass wa wet so Sammey teleported to one of the trees and pulled out her book and started to read.

As the day started to warn up form the sun Sammey started to nod off to sleep. Than some clanking woke up Sammey "huh?" as she rubbed her eyes and looked around to see what was making all the noise and were it was coming form. Sammey looked around and seen another girl trying to hidded form someone or something. She than looked more to see if she was able to see anything and seen not one but two man talking to one another. Sammey didn't know what was going on but she just stayed quiet and hidin form the two man and other girl.

Ser Lothric Ember

Lothric turned his gaze towards the faunus boy and shook his head a few times before letting out a heavy sigh as he started to speak "It is okay, I am just a tad on edge due to the times I guess, anyways. Salutations to thee I am Ser Lothric Ember and who are you then?" his tone was a calm one yet he held onto his regal manner.

It was not long after that his ears picked up something running and clanking close to him and by instinct he quickly turned towards the sound and pointed his sword towards the tree they seemed to be hiding behind before his entire frame erupted in flame as he then with a stern and commanding tone yelled "Whomever hides behind that tree I suggest thee come forth and surrender thy rude behavior before I turn that entire area to ash!" Lothric knew full and well the potential explosive situation he was creating but to be this rude and even having the insolence to not even try and hide the fact they where there by making so much noise had really angered him.

Within his mind Lothric started to go over combat tactics and the movements he would have to use should he be forced to dodge a ranged attack and the counter he would have to use if it was a semblance ability that could follow his movements, Lothric kept running these thoughts through his mind and scenarios flew through as he created several battle plans that he could fall back on should it be needed.

James Gray

James Gray
His grin still in place, knowing that his presence wasn't a hinderance, he was more than willing to answer that question. "James Gray is the name. A student over at Syne Academy, I be." He was proud of his name. The name imparted to him by his late-parents. He would do this name justice by fighting for justice and helping fight the Grimm.

His ears twitched at the incoming presence of clanking resonating through the air. Metal, it sounded like. Weapon maybe? His attention was driven away from his thoughts when the man before him turned towards the direction of the sounds and raised his sword. He frowned slightly, understanding that while rude to spy and then hide away, the threat was unnecessary. He idly wondered if there were anymore in the clearing with the three of them, before moving into more urgent matters.

Stepping in between the swordsman and the hidden person, he raised two things: His hands were raised in a placating manner towards the one hiding, seeing as how he is facing them, no doubt that they were probably scared and even more so now that they were threatened, and his shield was planted firmly between his back and the man - a safety should things go sour.

"Hey now, I don't think that was entirely necessary." He directed this at the man, showing slight displeasure through a frown but understanding in his eyes. Turning back to the one hiding, he directed a gentle smile and did his best to exhibit a calming aura. Whenever his sister got fussy or scared, we would do the same for her - hopefully it will work here too.

"Hey, friend. No need to be scared. Despite what he said, he's only being cautious." His tone low and and barely above a whisper, the winds carried his words to be heard by all occupants. "I promise you that you won't be hurt if you come out. All we would like is for you to talk to us, clear up this misunderstanding. Don't be afraid, please." His snow-white tail fell gently to the ground, a sign of submission to assure he meant no aggression. He lightly chuckled as his eyes gleamed with mirth. "Perhaps we can discuss over a cup of tea? I just so happen to have a thermos and some cups to share."

He would do anything he can to diffuse the situation. It was just who he was. That doesn't mean that he wasn't ready to activate his semblance, if need be. He didn't want to, but like the man, he needed to be cautious.

She had been found out. At least, they had surely heard the clanging of her large gauntlets against each other as she tried to run away. She’s need to work on that later she supposed. Though it wasn’t like an introvert like her was skilled in the arts of sneaking around after all. But as it would stand, both of her fears were recognized at once. One of the men began to threaten her almost instantly, claiming to torch the entire area around them to ash if she didn’t show herself. Horribly dramatic as far as Jun was concerned. Thankfully the other male seemed to have a bit more of an understanding view of the situation. He began to try and reason with her in a calm and nurturing way it would seem.

He began by lecturing the first man about his threats and how they were necessary. Asking her to come out of hiding he promised Jun she wouldn’t be hurt. It seemed he even attempted to bribe her with something as simple as a thermos of tea. She found her interest peaked at this. Rarely had she ever had tea without some kind of important guest around to impress and all the rarer still was the chance to drink it from something that wasn’t an actual tea pot or tea cup. Without a single word, and doing her best to keep her Psyclawz from clanking together again, she stepped out from behind the tree she had chosen for her hiding spot.

“I-I suppose… some tea would be welcoming…” A single blush filled her face as she spoke, looking away from the men and towards the ground with an obvious sense of embarrassment.

"Whomever hides behind that tree I suggest thee come forth and surrender thy rude behavior before I turn that entire area to ash!" As one of the two man yelled out Sammey jumped a little and pulled out some water and ice dust form her bag. Things started to get a little bad and fast Sammey looked down at the girl hiding behind the same tree than back to the two man. "Hey, friend. No need to be scared. Despite what he said, he's only being cautious.I promise you that you won't be hurt if you come out. All we would like is for you to talk to us, clear up this misunderstanding. Don't be afraid, please.Perhaps we can discuss over a cup of tea? I just so happen to have a thermos and some cups to share."

Sammey looked at the other guy try to stop things form getting out of hand and than heard the girl “I-I suppose… some tea would be welcoming…” Sammey stayed in the tree's were it was save as she teleported to another tree with out making a sound.

Nowadays with the way people prowled on each other, it was bothersome to tell whether watching eyes were that of other humans or that of a Grimm getting ready to go in for the Kill. There was indeed extra eyes upon Lothric, and eventually Jun and James. Some distance to the West of them was an Ursa, whose figure was hidden partially behind trees, and not too far from that Ursa was another one whom was occupied with another task. Even further West from the position of the Ursa that was watching the group of Lothric, Jun, and James was its partner giving chase to another target. It was an Syne student who had been out on a hunt themselves, and had the misfortune of encountering the Ursa after defeating his Target. WIth very little of his Aura left, it was nearly impossible for him to put up a fight against anything. It was Fear of death and not seeing his family again that allowed his legs to carry him further away from the Ursa, but it remained on his tail without rest. With what strength he had left, he would let out a scream.

" HELP!! ".

Ser Lothric Ember

Ser Lothric Ember
Lothric shook his head a few times when James stepped between him and the hidden figure, lowering his sword Lothric extinguished his flames before speaking with his calm toner and regal manner "While noble it is not wise to show your back towards one with raised weaponry."

Sheathing his sword Lothric simply looked upon the conversation as he suddenly got back the feeling of being watched again and this time it was stronger. Turning around to face away from James and the other Lothric started to look around the edges of the clearing and he then turned towards the west as he focused his gaze.

Not removing his gaze from the western area of the clearing Lothric swiftly drew his blade from the sheath in a single movement, the swords tip reached into the ground as he moved it in a circular motion before he made it stop at his shoulders height and pointed it towards the west.

"This is getting rather bothersome, I swear if this is yet another rude individual I am going to be rather angered." speaking in a low tone as if to warn James of his potential actions Lothric suddenly heard something, not being able to hear exactly what was being said he turned his head towards James for a moment before speaking "James, I doth believe there was some one shouting but I couldn't make out exactly the word but I am getting the feeling something is not as it should be." turning his head and gaze back to the west Lothric kept scanning the area still as he seemed to watch for any unnatural movement.

James Gray

The girl came out of her tree, that's good. James smiled as the girl admitted to wanting a cup of tea. He chuckled slightly as she seemed to be quite embarrassed and that was perfectly okay. He rolled his eyes when the swordsman spoke about turning his back to raised weaponry. While he would normally be more cautious, he placed his trust in that Lothric would be above striking from behind, just from his manner of speaking and general attitude. Of course, he could be wrong, but too late for that.

James went to turn in the direction Lothric directed his words, following the trail of his sword when his ears picked up the sounds of something faint. Hearing the following words escaping his acquaintance's mouth, he focused more on the distant shout.

"HELP!"

Eyes widened when the word was made clear. Lifting his shield, he swiveled around and moved till he was back to back with Lothric. Planting said shield firmly into the ground, his lips formed a thin frown. Turning his head slightly, he spoke to the swordsman. "A cry for help. Judging by the distance and faintness, I believe it would be too late to go and attempt a rescue. There seems to be more than just people in these woods now - wonder what it is."

He turned his head towards the girl still rooted near her hiding place. With softer eyes, but the same level of seriousness, he addressed her. "Miss, I do believe it would be best if you come closer to us. A third pair of eyes and an able body would be useful in this situation. I apologize as well, it seems our tea time will have to wait." His gaze went back to the eastern side of the clearing, scanning for any irregularities.

Jun Lockhart

Jun Lockhart
Jun was growing less and less fond of this man with the flaming sword the more and the longer he talked. His personality was just one that seemed to have no desire to interact with others that weren’t on as high of a horse as he seemed to think he was. As the fox man approached Jun, getting between her and the man that had started off their meeting by threatening her to come out of hiding, it seemed even he wasn’t spared from a lecture by the annoying man. From there it seemed everything just went worse. A cry echoed through the woods that all three of them seemed to hear fine.

The annoying man seemed to grumble and complain about how it was bothersome and how if it was another rude person he would get angry. He had addressed the fox man, calling him by the name James, who confirmed himself that it had been a cry for help. It seemed that he had a better understanding of how to track sounds as he had given the direction the cry had originated from. Rather politely and respectfully James asked Jun to come closer. It seemed he was expecting things to go south soon and felt it best to have a third pair of eyes and another able body. He even apologized for the fact they wouldn’t be getting to have their tea any time soon.

It was James’ sense of respect that caused Jun to feel she could approach him. Her hands gripped the handles inside of her Psyclawz as she approached the men. Sweat formed at the back of her neck and her brow as she realized this was her first time alone with two males. No Yuu to keep her company or protected. Taking a spot besides James she could only ready herself for whatever was possibly coming for them as best as she could, being that she wasn’t anything more than a hermit that built and improved things in her room.

Sammey White

Sammey White
" HELP!! ". The dry for help made Sammey jump a little and even whit Sammey little jump the tree didn't even move a in or made a noise. Sammey looked at the other people by her and seen them looking around as she pulled out her bow in it's con-packed carry form and teleported form the tree to another tree and started running/teleporting and hoping form tree to tree making better time then if she was to run on the ground. As she got to here the yelling came form to see some guy running form what looked to be some Ursa's.

She than pulled out one of her "Explosion" dust arrows and shot it behind the guy and in fort of the Ursa to help thow him off for a bit so she can tp next to the guy. She than put one of her hands on him and tped him and herself away form the Ursa's and into a tree out of there view.
