On this unusual day, the hills surrounding the academy of Syne were covered by a fog so thick that one could barely see beyond a couple meters in front of them. This weather paired with the incredibly high number of blue hues the Finnek Forest had made for a surreal atmosphere all around the school as if it was an old castle in the middle of a haunted forest. Yet while some may have been feeling uneasy as to wander in the area under those conditions, Myra wasn't one that would let something like the weather stop her from enjoying a nice walk in the woods especially when she was actually looking to hunt some Grimms that were roaming around the academy. What good was a huntress in training if she wasn't actually training against the enemy from time to time? She'd be rusty without even starting to train and it would probably be far more dangerous one day than what she would probably encounter near Syne.

It wasn't early in the day, it was even nearly late afternoon and Myra had been gone for hours now, for hours she has been looking for a potential threat to take care of but nothing showed itself so far, not a single Grimm on the horizon. This fog sure made it hard to track down anything which sure wasn't helping a rookie in her attempt to hunt the dark beasts. The only clue she had were the occasional sounds she could make up but it was far from enough to pinpoint a precise location to look for. Especially that now the girl had spent so much time roaming around that she was probably lost by this point at least until the fog disappear which hopefully it would.

Today was the perfect day for a predator to chase it's prey. The fog kept many eyes from seeing what wanted to be hidden, and gave anything hidden the advantage it needed to ruin anybody in it's sights. Of course, that's normally how a situation like this would work, but as three Deathstalkers roamed the woods on the hunt, hardly anything worth attacking made it's presence known. As all three of them searched together, they began to grow frustrated at their lack of prey before finally sensing something. A lone hunter. An ironic title for someone in her position.

Being the size that they were, all three of the Grimm gave up on stealth and began to make their way towards their victim. One went straight forward while the others turned to approach the girl from her sides, waiting for the one in the front to make it's move. Assuming that the others were ready to begin, the first Deathstalker pounced forward, charging the hunter head on with it's claws. The others wouldn't wait for her to prepare herself again, instead they both moved in to attack as well. The Grimm on the victim's right would thrust it's stinger towards her, while the one on the left would attempt to grab her in it's powerful claws. The Deathstalkers were finally going to catch their prey.

While she had thought about it many times in the past hour, Myra was really starting to feel like giving up on her search and head back to the academy. She had spent all day walking and was getting bored and tired of it and all she wanted to do now is go back to her dorm and enjoy a nice warm bath. She would have tried again the next day, but fortunately for her her wait was worth it as the sound of crashing trees could be heard, quickly heading for her.

Getting ready for whatever would show up, the girl was surprised by the first Deathstalker which jumped out at her from the thick fog before two others showed up. She was outnumbered and this was bad, but Myra would use her smaller size to her advantage. Waking her snake up for battle, the huntress rushed directly for the first giant scorpion in order to reduce the distance between them so waving its claws at her wouldn't be that easy and she then placed her hands on its head in order to avoid the other two Grimms' attacks by vaulting above the first, sliding across its back to now put some distance between her foes.

As she slid, her snake tail immediately started to attack, using its swiftness to bit twice in quick succession at the scorpion, once at its back and the second time at the base of its tail as Myra past it. The fangs of the reptile had absolutely no trouble piercing the white shell of the Deathstalker, being made partly of the girl's aura had to help in some way. Running then a couple meters forward, the snake then spit a liquid that quickly solidified into sharp crystal shards that flew in the direction of the same first beast, hoping to take care of it quickly to reduce their number so she wouldn't be outnumbered, at least not as outnumbered. Turning around to face her foes with her snake showing its head from over her shoulder as it shot another barrage of crystal shards toward the same Grimm while she kept an eye on the other two, ready for their next assault.

Never before in the history of Grimmkind has confidence been reversed so quickly.  Not only did the Deathstalkers' prey avoid all of their attacks in such a simple and predictable way, but now she was proving her competence by fighting back.  Even worse, it was working.  There was nothing the scorpion could do to avoid the first attack, the snake's bite piercing through it's armor as if it was hardly there in the first place.  As Myra launched a barrage of crystals towards the Grimm, the thing did it's best to swing it's claws outwards toward her, but this left it open to the aforementioned attack, ripping it's body apart. The beast tried to run for just a moment before stumbling, falling still into the earth before beginning to fall into pieces. The first enemy was already butchered.

The other two Deathstalkers, sensing how the tables turned, charged after the hunter, swinging their claws at the girl wildly.  As they attacked, they'd continue there movements and chase after their prey, not wanting what happened to their accomplice to happen again.  It goes without saying that all three of these enemies were incredibly frustrated with the situation, as what felt like a solid plan began to fall apart in one quick moment.  Hopefully, things would turn around.  It's not like hunters are supposed to be good at fighting Grimm, right?

Pride was overwhelming Myra as the first Deathstalker slowly faded into nothingness, her blood was boiling of excitement as she managed to slay her first Grimm ever and soon she would add two more to the list. As the two other scorpions rushed towards her, it felt almost too easy as they were walking towards they doom. Gesturing dramatically in front of her, nearly striking a pose, the girl's snake spit the weird liquid once more, but this time aiming at the ground between her and the Grimms and as they would walk over it, the pinkish-blue substance quickly hardened like before and seemingly sprouted large crystal spikes from the ground.

The way the snake's spit worked was simple in concept: a liquid that solidifies when exposed to air, forming sharp but fragile crystal that would often break upon contact but not without risking cuts and stabs. The more liquid is massed up together, the longer it takes to crystallize but larger will be the shards.

While her trap would probably work, it wouldn't be able to imprison the Grimms, it wasn't like ice after all, it would break right after wounding them. Plus this little trick of hers wouldn't work on them a second time either so it was best to use this tactic the sooner she could rather than wait, especially with how they were just blindly rushing towards her. Bu that didn't mean she would stop and wait to see what would happen and immediately prepared her next attack. Retrieving one of her earth Dust crystal, Myra crouched down while feeding the Dust to her snake which immediately began to glow before it buried itself into the ground. Soon after, the earth around the girl began to shake violently until fissures split the ground open to reveal three giant stone snakes that were surrounding the two remaining Deathstalkers, manifestations of her own snake, its powers increased with the elemental possibilities of the magic rock. Without a moment wasted, the three colossal reptiles came down on the Grimms, crashing on them like a rocky avalanche, hopefully burying them into the void.

One lone Deathstalker watched helplessly as his last hunting partner was decimated before him, the terrifying display of power presented in the form of a snake tearing it's ally apart. This lone Deathstalker only survived because two of the attacks pushed it out of the way, injuring the Grimm instead of destroying it like the other. In a fit of rage, the survivor charged at Myra with both of it's claws ready to tear her apart.

Depending on if it hit the girl or not, the Deathstalker would either miss and be subject to a cruel fate, fitting for a cruel creature, or it would get a hold of it's victim, attempting to crush it in the beast's claws. It was the only enemy left, this fight was up to it, now.

Myra could be seen stomping the ground with her right foot, pouting and whining like a little kid as she apparently didn't managed to kill both Grimms with her grandiose attack. How the last Deathstalker was missed by the lots of snake-like rubble was a mystery to her and she wasn't about to ask it how it did either, she'd just kill it now. Better late than never she guessed.

But it would be real soon for sure that the scorpion would meet its demise as it simply rushed towards her blindly hoping to get to her before it could be decimated. Sadly for it, all that Myra had to do was to basically run away from it while her snake began spitting more crystals at it. She would do so until the Grimm would finally be dead and start vanishing. This was probably the cheapest tactic that Myra could ever do, but it didn't made it less effective since really, she could keep running away from her enemies while her snake does all the attacking, what more to ask for?

In the most pitiful attempt at an attack one could imagine, the Deathstalker soon fell victim to a simple, and sadly effective, strategy.  Picking up speed before being torn apart, the scorpion kept some of it's velocity after being hit, grinding it's face across the ground in defeat.  The thing's legs fell limp, claws became stuck in the ground, and the stinger curled, it's only possible expression of pain at this moment.

All three of the Grimm were now dead, the first two having already vanished while the other was now in the process of doing so.  This embarrassing attempt at an ambush only lead to the three monsters' demise, and the huntress' success.  After such a poor attempt to at least damage it's opponent once, the shameful excuse of a Deathstalker began to cease it's existence.  Such a disappointing display.
