Hiring the Mute (Private-Nyx)

Quill had just arrived in Belmuse and already can tell this is going to be very boring, normally he would be excited to be in a place like this but that is only on vacation with the misses. But this is purely business and Quill had to set up show somewhere. He found a bar where it doubled as a inn, this will be the perfect place to find someone who need to hire a bodyguard or something in that matter. Quill doesn't care who hires him or what for, as long as it legal and the pay is well like really well. He found a sit and put up a holo sign saying "For Hire", most people stayed away mainly cause he looks like he could kill anyone at any moment. It also doesn't help that he was also sharpening Slash and Stab which made a really disturbing noise that could bring back some very terrifying memories.

Nyx was in an extremely great mood. She had just completed an assassination contract for a client by the name of Sergei Ivanov. He had requested her services personally to avenge his daughter's death at the hands of some White Fang hooligans. He had paid her her usual rate of 4 million Lien. However, her client had added a bonus of 4 million Lien for retrieving any data regarding White Fang's plan for Bellmuse Island.

Nyx gladly took the contract and completed it within a few days. Her targets were quite easy to track down. To be exact, they made no attempt to conceal their location or their current meeting place. As her targets assembled, Nyx quickly took them out with headshots before securing the intel on White Fang's plans. Soon after, Nyx gave reported to her client that the contract was now complete before leaving. As she made her way to Central Belmuse, Nyx called the bank who managed her offshore bank account and instructed them to donate 4 million Lien to the local charities in Bellmuse.

After doing this, Nyx decided to visit a local inn which had a bar in it. Nyx was in the mood for some an early dinner and a bottle of apple cider. After a few minutes of working, Nyx entered the bar and ordered a steak dinner and a large bottle of Apple Cider. As she waited, a mysterious male who was wearing a long coat and a top hat approached her. As he did so, he slowly slid his left hand in his coat and grabbed the handle of his gun. However, he never had a chance to draw his gun as Nyx quickly drew her RSh-12.7 revolver and shot him in the head. It was barely 1/24 of a second between when the guy grabbed for his gun and when he dropped to the floor with large bullet hole in his forehead.

"Looks like it is going to be a closed casket for him." Nyx commented nonchalantly as she holstered her sidearm while maintaining her extremely cold and emotionless expression. Soon after, Nyx got her food and paid the barkeep double the regular price. Soon after, Nyx sat down in a table next to the one which had a neon "For Hire" sign. Sitting there was a lone figure who looked like a ninja of some sort.

Quill saw a blond girl sit down at a table next to him, he tapped on her table to get her attention. He then said in sign language,"Are you looking for a bodyguard or something or are you here for the food or both?" He then gave her a card that said "Press Here" Then a message would play saying,"Hello, and thank you for choosing our Serves, we here at Pack are always looking for client of legal types. What you see here is one of our Ice division members, this division is full of members that are skilled in melee combat and defense type jobs like and not limited to bodyguard, security, gang exterminator, and many many more jobs. We hope you can find our serves great and would recommend others to us, but remember we only do legal jobs but doesn't mean you have to ok."

As Nyx began enjoying her dinner, the man she saw on the table next to her came over and began tapping on the table to get her attention. As soon as Nyx acknowledged his presence, the ninja began talking in sign language. Luckily for her, Nyx was taught sign language as part of her training at Atlach-Nacha. The man was asking her "Are you looking for a bodyguard or something or are you here for the food or both?". As he did so, Nyx was handed a card that said "Press here". Nyx looked at the card warily before pressing the button. As a precaution, she had her right hand around her sidearm just in case.

Soon, a audio messaged played from the card. It said "Hello, and thank you for choosing our Serves, we here at Pack are always looking for client of legal types. What you see here is one of our Ice division members, this division is full of members that are skilled in melee combat and defense type jobs like and not limited to bodyguard, security, gang exterminator, and many many more jobs. We hope you can find our serves great and would recommend others to us, but remember we only do legal jobs but doesn't mean you have to okay."

After listening to the message, Nyx set the card down before motioning for the ninja to sit down in the seat directly in front of her. As soon as he sat down, Nyx began replying in sign language. Nyx replied with "You are in a fortunate position, Sir. I am currently looking for a bodyguard right now. I have heard a great deal about your organization."

"If you are available, I would like to hire you. However, there is no need to rush for you won't be starting until Monday." Nyx replied in signed language as she placed a small briefcase on the table. Inside the case was 2 million in Lien. Nyx then slid the case towards the ninja before waiting to see his reaction.

Quill saw the massive horde of cash and nod, he also replied in sign language,"Please note, i can't speak in this but i can hear so you can talk to me. Though a warning is in order, I wont move at random time and it will seem like i am dead at some points but i am not so please do not worry." He then sits down and starts sharpening his weapon again, he then freezes it then chips away at it breaking chunks of ice off and throw them at a trash can. The metal on his needs this every so often so the metal can stay strong enough to hack, slash, gash, and stab people when in combat, it is also easier then cleaning it as well. Once he was finish he kinda just examine his own weapon seeing if there was something wrong with it or if there was something that broke, manually moving the blade from the sheath position to the combat position.

"I see, Sir. As I mentioned earlier, you won't starting working with me until Monday. In the meantime, you are free until then. I will be start attending Syne Academy on that day. I hope that this would be the start of a long and fruitful partnership." Nyx replied in a calm, courteous, and somewhat professional fashion. After speaking, Nyx started to eat her steak dinner which she ordered earlier. After a few bites, she put her fork down and wiped her mouth with a napkin before speaking.

"Also, if you need anything or require any special equipment, I would be more than happy to provide them to you, Sir. Don't be afraid to ask." Nyx added. Despite of her ruthless reputation, Nyx was quite a fair person when it comes to the people who work for her or had helped her out in the past. As long as they didn't betray her, Nyx was going to treat them in a somewhat nice yet professional manner. However, Nyx wasn't the type to take betrayal lightly. Most of the people that tried that with her are all currently dead.

Quill heard what his new boss said, and reply in sign language,"I only need basic information and for you to sign this contract stating that i am working for you and must be payed over 30,000 lien a month. The basic information is where you are currently living, allergies, enemy list, special needs like any diet, training times, scheduled, mission notification since you are going to attend a hunters academy and finally your view on faunus. This is all needed for your full protection from anyone that want you and limited to killed, maned, gored, half dead, mutilated, harvest organs, tortured, assaulted, enslaved, or eaten, I know massive list for bodyguarding and i have to go through this every time i get a new boss." Quill then went back to his weapon which he was polishing the blade for show, he believes a clean weapon makes a better impression then a old, rusty, and dirty one.

"I see. I would gladly provide that information under one condition. I want to make sure that you keep this information hidden from any records." Nyx replied calmly as she took out a business card for the Seraphim Luxury Apartments where she is currently living. She then explained that to the ninja that she lived at the Seraphim Luxury Apartments. However, she was not going to reveal which apartment she actually lived in until Monday when his contract begins. Nyx wasn't that stupid to provide that information right off the bat to anyone even if it is someone she was going to be working with.

Soon after, Nyx took our a small file from her duffle bag and slid it to the ninja. This file contained all the information Nyx had obtained on the radical arm of White Fang. Nyx had some run-ins with this arm of White Fang previously. They were quite vengeful and wanted her head due to the fact that she assassinated almost of their high ranking members. In addition to this, Nyx came close to killing their leader. Since then, the radical arm of the White Fang had been trying to track her down to no avail. Soon after, Nyx then described her daily schedule to the ninja.

"My schedule is pretty simple. I will mostly at Syne Academy on weekdays and I will be mostly free on the weekends. However, if my schedule changes, I will keep you updated." Nyx replied in a vague tone. Nyx decided to reply this way so that she could keep up the impression that she was just a regular student at Syne Academy. Nyx was extremely good at blending into any location she is currently staying/living in. After handing the ninja the file on the White Fang, Nyx then answered his query about mission notifications.

"Well about the part where I am on missions. I will sent you a message via scroll whenever I am out on a mission." Nyx replied in a rather calm fashion as she have her scroll number. Nyx's scroll was extremely unusual as its number was not listed in any database or scroll directory in the world. In addition to this, the scroll number was registered under her alias, "Anastasia S. Solanaceae". To add to this, Nyx's scroll was both tempested and ghosted which meant it is entirely secure from any cyber attack or hacking attempt. These factors made it almost impossible for people to track her scroll.

"Personally, I am neutral when it comes to my views on faunus. If they treat me with respect, I will show them the same amount of respect. However, if they wrong me, that is whole entirely separate issue altogether." Nyx explained calmly. Nyx was extremely neutral when it came to the whole human/faunus issue since she see had seen the two extremes in both human and faunus. Due to this, Nyx had decided to stay out of that affair as that would make her life 100 times more complicated.

"Did that information satisfy you, Sir?" Nyx asked finally.

Quill read the file that Nyx had provided him and then gave it back after looking over and memorizing it taking a digital copy of on that is link to his suit which can not be access by anyone outside the Pack, he then said in sign language,"The information you have given me will be safe with me and only me until i return to my HQ to put in normal information. Any personal information like the file you shown me will be kept as a secret, if you require any more helps i will call a fellow Pack member to assist me in protecting you from anything that want you harmed in any matters. I will be leaving now to report to my commanders that i have found a client, you will be put on the list of clients so we do not assassinate you in the future." He then gets up from his chair and leaves, leaving a little card with his symbol and name which was "Quill 'Frost' Darwind".

After the ninja had left, Nyx continued on eating her dinner. The ninja hadn't taken the file with him, so Nyx quietly slid it into her messenger bag. After completing her dinner, Nyx took some time to think about her meeting with the ninja. According to his card, his name was "Quill "Frost" Darwind". In addition to this, he was part of an organization called the "Pack". His rate of 30,000 Lien per month was quite reasonable. However, Nyx was starting to wonder how skilled in combat Quill was. However, Nyx couldn't make a determination until Monday when he starts working for her.

After going over the meeting in her mind, Nyx then got up a put 10 Lien under her plate of food as a tip before heading towards the front entrance of the bar. Soon after, Nyx exited the bar and headed to the street where her motorcycle which she used at transportation was parked. Nyx quickly got on and started the engine before kicking off the kickstand. A few moments later, Nyx sped down the main street towards her destination, her apartment.
