Cookie Monster

There is a Monster
Lurking inside our House
Causing a Disaster
Eating all our Cookies
Who we don't know
May be a Prankster
Catch it we must
Before all is Lost

At Night it Comes
Cookies it Ravishes
Not one he Leaves
Not a Crumb Remains

Cookies are Disappearing Fast
Laid a Trap we have
Catch it we Must
How we don't know
But catch him we Must

Caught in the Act
Caught Red Handed
Cookie in Hand
Munching with Pleasure
Thought she was Clever
Trapped by our Endeavor

Solomon and Guilty
Smiling and Red Faced
Cookie Monster, My Daughter
Never did we Falter
In our Quest
Erased and Disgraced
Cookie Monster Disaster.

'Ight. I hate poetry with a passion; let that be clear. I always found it boring to write, yet every single time I've written it, it's been praised. I hope that's not true here. If you have any critisisms, do tell. It's done in Free verse. I blame my English teacher who made me write it for a grade >.>

Title: The Magic of Perseverance

I came from a dirty room

from a broken home

from a deeply horrible family

but I am not alone am I?

There’s others like me

Poor

Neglected

We want away don’t we?

It’s so difficult to do

To escape from that bad place

To get to a good place

Sometimes you question if it’s possible.

Yet if you think deep down,

go deeper than the abuse

go deeper than the neglect

You’ll find the will.

To question if we want to go on

That’s something normal

That’s something most people have found

but they’ve all found the same answer

Go farther than the rest, prove them.

Prove them wrong.

Prove them that you’re strong enough to go on

Be that person; the breakout star

It may very well seem impossible.

You could very well give in.

But I insist.

I insist.

You must go on.

If not for you

Do it for those who can’t
Do it for your family.

My Puppy Ate My Earbuds

My puppy ate my earbuds.
My puppy ate my socks.
My puppy chewed my tennis shoes
and all my Lego blocks.

He gnawed upon my iPod
as if it were a bone.
He nibbled my Nintendo Wii
and munched my mobile phone.

He grazed upon my skateboard,
consumed my catcher's mitts,
and chomped my chess and checkers sets
to tiny little bits.

He polished off my pillow,
my blanket, and my sheet.
My homework seems to be the
only thing he will not eat.

Brain Space

The Stars Span Out So Very Far
Like a Painters Mind when fixed on Art
Sporadic thoughts flow through their brain
But on their emotions it does drain

Just as the stars above do burn
For new pallets they will yearn

The solar system is their mind
Colorful, wonderful, full of life

Yet in the system chaos reins
Gravity tears thoughts toward deep pain
The mind orbits the light, the earth does the same

Alike the sun muse can burn dry
But one can rekindle, muse need never die

Just as the universe lies undiscovered
Creative minds are slowly uncovered

destiny

I am guardian of the last city on Earth
All other lands were taken

My only job is understood
To seize back all forsaken

The powerful darkness that found us on Earth
Nearly destroyed us all last time

The Traveler came and saved our race
Though many were struck down in their prime

The enemies took all that we had
The last city will not go too

I am left to fight with all my power
And take back what is due

My destiny is mine to make
My choices are my own

The worlds I’ll brave and make my stake
Are lands now unknown

My journeys do not give me fear
Though foes stand in my way

I’ll battle forth and will not stop
I’ll conquer all my prey

I’ve ancient ruins to explore
Lush jungles to go through

My weapons are my power source
My strength is growing too

With my armor I can fight
Endless rivals that amass

Their size and strength will not stop me
From whatever comes to pass

With guardians aid I will go forth
And boldly make my gain

To justly fight for what is right
All enemies will be slain

I’ll use my special abilities
When surrounding dangers ensue

The risk is high but I won’t shun
The path I know is true

My destiny is mine to make
My choices are my own

The worlds I’ll brave and make my stake
Are lands now unknown

My journeys do not give me fear
Though foes stand in my way

I’ll battle forth and will not stop
I’ll conquer all my prey

My plan is focused and direct
If it takes a decade to do

I’ll journey through the solar system
Taking all that’s mine to pursue

My fellow guardians will give their aid
For the battles that advance

We’ll defy the enemies of darkness
With guiding lightness, not by chance

Titans, Warlocks and Hunters will come
To defend lands here and beyond Earth

We will fight together to secure the land
For everything it’s worth

As yet I am now unknown
But I’ll be known someday

Do not underestimate me
I’ll always find a way.

I ‘m the one that you will see
Prevail in full someday

A legend in this land of Destiny
All the world will say.

Erin Cross

Erin Cross
This is not mine but I thought I'd share it with you for the lulz. xD

Two Dead Boys

Ladies and Gentlemen, skinny and stout,
I'll tell you a tale I know nothing about;
The Admission is free, so pay at the door,
Now pull up a chair and sit on the floor.

One fine day in the middle of the night,
Two dead boys got up to fight;
Back to back they faced each other,
Drew their swords and shot each other.

A blind man came to watch fair play,
A mute man came to shout "Horray!"
A deaf policeman heard the noise and
Came to stop those two dead boys.

He lived on the corner in the middle of the block,
In a two-story house on a vacant lot;
A man with no legs came walking by,
and kicked the lawman in his thigh.

He crashed through a wall without making a sound,
into a dry creek bed and suddenly drowned;
The long black hearse came to cart him away,
But he ran for his life and is still gone today.

I watched from the corner of the big round table,
The only eyewitness to facts of my fable;
But if you doubt my lies are true,
Just ask the blind man, he saw it too.

My Five Kitty Cats

Buster, Sparkle, Newbie, Speedy
and then there's Pixie our smallest kitty,
One, two, three and four and five,
they're so frisky, so alive.

Sparkle is my number one,
14 years old and so much fun.
Purrs and snuggles on my shoulder,
she's getting slow and somewhat older.
She meows for water from the sink,
I turn it on, for her to drink.

Speedy is my number two,
proud and handsome, I tell you!
He prances like a little pony,
and you know what? That's no baloney.
He guards the others from above,
and sometimes gives a little shove.

Newbie is my number three,
chubby, plump as one can be.
Always cleaning, always licking,
he tries to run but his paws keep sticking.
He keeps on searching for a hand,
to scratch under his collar band.

Buster is my number four,
always eating, more and more.
Loves to snack on lots of munchies,
Tender Vittles and some crunchies.
Begging, pleading, day and nights.
"Give me crunchies, or I'll bite!"

Pixie is my number five,
She jumps, rolls over, takes a dive.
Up my back, onto my shoulder,
hoping I would grab and hold her.
Then she jumps to catch a fly,
She's four months old, my sweetie pie.

Buster, Sparkle, Newbie, Speedy,
and there's Pixie our smallest kitty.
Five, four, three and two and one,
I love my kitty cats, they're so much fun.

The Garden

Bountiful Givers,
I look along the years
And see the flowers you threw…
Anemones
And sprigs of gray
Sparse heather of the rocks,
Or a wild violet
Or daisy of a daisied field…
But each your best.

I might have worn them on my breast
To wilt in the long day…
I might have stemmed them in a narrow vase
And watched each petal sallowing…
I might have held them so—mechanically—
Till the wind winnowed all the leaves
And left upon my hands
A little smear of dust.

Instead
I hid them in the soft warm loam
Of a dim shadowed place…
Deep
In a still cool grotto,
Lit only by the memories of stars
And the wide and luminous eyes
Of dead poets
That love me and that I love…
Deep…deep…
Where none may see—not even ye who gave—
About my soul your garden beautiful.

I made dis.

Good evening I hope you're all doing well, now now will you all please calm down there is no need to yell. Oh no what did I just do, I did not mean to rhyme this much is true.

Crap I did it again I'm turning into Dr seuss, perhaps I should work out this kink with a nice masseuse. And there I've done it again, I can not seem stop these rhymes, perhaps I am just getting with the times.

Is rhyming then so bad? Can it truly makes us glad, sad, mad, or even rad? The words keep flowing on and on, as though I am no more than merely a pawn.

A pawn to my brain is that all I may be? No! Absolutely not most certainly. I am my own master, I will not be blindly led to disaster.

I control myself I will not be forced to sit on the shelf. The shelf of life upon which none wish to live, and to keep away from there you must give all you can give.

When life gives you lemons do not make lemonade, though lemonade is best when home maid. When life gives you lemons take those fruits in hand, go out and make a demand.

Demand of life that you be treated well,  you shout you scream and you yell. And once loud enough others will hear, others will listen, others will come near.

They will give you strength and you will give them a voice, and from that voice arises a choice. A choice for good or one for bad, one to make happy or one to make sad.

Why do I rhyme? Why do I speak? Because we are all different, we are all unique. Each and every one has a talent, some are noble some are gallant.

Other can plan and others can fight. Some can think some can write.  But what does this mean does this all even matter? Is this nothing more than idle chatter?

Well that my depend, perhaps this poem is merely a means to an end.

A Cradle Song

Sweet dreams form a shade,
O'er my lovely infants head.
Sweet dreams of pleasant streams,
By happy silent moony beams

Sweet sleep with soft down.
Weave thy brows an infant crown.
Sweet sleep Angel mild,
Hover o'er my happy child.

Sweet smiles in the night,
Hover over my delight.
Sweet smiles Mothers smiles,
All the livelong night beguiles.

Sweet moans, dovelike sighs,
Chase not slumber from thy eyes,
Sweet moans, sweeter smiles,
All the dovelike moans beguiles.

Sleep sleep happy child,
All creation slept and smil'd.
Sleep sleep, happy sleep.
While o'er thee thy mother weep

Sweet babe in thy face,
Holy image I can trace.
Sweet babe once like thee.
Thy maker lay and wept for me

Wept for me for thee for all,
When he was an infant small.
Thou his image ever see.
Heavenly face that smiles on thee,

Smiles on thee on me on all,
Who became an infant small,
Infant smiles are His own smiles,
Heaven & earth to peace beguiles.

Puppy love
You have a cute little nose
And happy wagging tail
You lick me when I come home
You bark because there's mail
You sleep in my bed
And think my shoe is a toy
Sweet little puppy
You fill me with joy
Oh, little puppy
So loyal and true
I just want you to know
How much I love you !

I wanna be the girl who...
You make a special call just to say goodnight
When she's crying, you wrap her in your arms and hold her tight
When she's scared or lonely you tell her
I wanna be the girl who...
Is the only one allowed to kiss your lips
Listens to your advice and helpful little tips
Won't ever let anything cause her love for you to bend
Stands by your side faithfully till the end.
