Bashir smiled as he explored through the forest, this was much more his comfort zone, away from the hustle and bustle of town, surrounded by nature... He darted between the trees as he carefully scanned for movement. On his head he wore what looked like a Grimm mask, a bit like a Beowulf, but more suitably shaped to his head. He felt a little anxious, this was a first for him, hunting Grimm. Usually he'd avoid them or weaken them before fleeing, and he wasn't quite sure how it was going to go. He clutched Wilder tightly in one hand, his other near the belt where a few vials of blue Dust hung.

He looked behind him to check on how the others were doing, not wanting to get separated from them this deep into the forests. He knew that he could find his way back, this was his natural environment, but the other two he didn't know enough to know if he should worry...

Gricelda Mee

Gricelda Mee
Gricelda made her way through the brush, her faunus ears alert to any sounds of danger as she tagged behind Bashir.  This was also her first hunt but Gris was more excited if anything.  She may not have any experience fighting Grimm but her combat experience while she was fighting with the White Fang made her confident in her abilities.  Afterall, she was clothed in her white and green combat outfit, her trusty hatchet Grizzly Cutter in her right hand and her advanced personal sheild Razorwind braced on her left arm.  She felt about as prepared as she could for battle against Grimm.  No better way to test one's own limits than live combat right?  As her Bashir looks back, Gris smirks to him.  She was glad to have her roommate, a fellow faunus, watch her back.  Faunus afterall have to stick other in this world of Remnant after all. She then look back their... other companion.  She wasn't all that pleased that she had to come along as well but as long as she fights as admirably herself and Bashir then she has little to gripe.  Gris called out to her.

"You aren't going to fall behind us now are you human?  We are not going to slow down for the likes of you now."

Sammey White

Sammey White
As Sammey fallowed behind the two other whit her in this hunt. She was thinking about the other two *Is this there fisrt hunt or have they done this before?* She was getting a funny feeling about that form the two but she just keened hopping for free to free. This hunt was going to be her first time using her new bow and arrows and she had some dust with her better safe than sorry right? Other than that she wanted to know what they're names was. "You aren't going to fall behind us now are you human? We are not going to slow down for the likes of you now." one of them yelled back but Sammey was hopping around the tree's.

Sammey wasn't really going to say anything so she kind of hopped on a branch of a tree making some leafs fall and her waving to them form the free.

Nevermore

Nevermore
Two wild lvl 4 Nevermore appears!
Nevermore 1 : 125 HP | Nevermore 2 : 130 HP

One thing about Nevermore : they might be big, but for some reason, you never see them until they’re right in your face. Now these are usually solitary creatures, because with that size, any food they find can barely be considered a snack for one of them, let alone more. Because of that, Nevermore tends to hunt alone because no Grimm likes to share.
On occasion, like this time, they will tolerate the presence of another of their kind simply because they know that fighting for territory would be both a waste of time, energy and would be risky. They both still intend on double-crossing the other and claim the fattest and juiciest prey for themselves though.

Talking about prey, scanning a forest for food from an aerial position is a pretty difficult task when the forest is this dense, but for Nevermores? Is as easy as pie… if they could make a pie. It goes without saying that the trio was spotted pretty quickly by the giant birds. Nevermore 1 was the first to spot them and suddenly turned hard left to get around and attack them from the left flank. Nevermore 2, slightly bigger than 1, made the same maneuver but to the right, but also went lower toward a small clearing where it could catch them after the first Nevermore pushed them there.

Being giant birds, it was quite a bit annoying to try and pick their food in the middle of the trees, so they usually tried to bait them somewhere more open. For this purpose, Nevermore 1 screeched, announcing its presence quite loudly before shooting a volley of feathers the size of small trees. It aimed to the left of the group, targeting the rat faunus half heartedly, more intent on pushing them toward the nearby clearing than doing any damage.

Attack List:

Kindlingrat

Bashir heard the creature too late. It was a rookie mistake, he was so focussed on looking for ground targets that he neglected to scan the skies, and as he entered the forest clearing only a slightl whistle tipped him off, looking directly overhead to see a volley of feathers only meters away. He didn't have time to dodge, so he didn't try; as the rain of feathers sliced passed him he had an idea, and activated his semblance while he was obscured by the attack.

He presed one hand to his mask, one of his eyes giving of a reddish-pink glow as some darkness appears to seep out of him. To the Huntresses, they could almost see the image of a Nevermore covering his body, but it was practically invisible. To the Grimm, however, this effect was all too real.

Cracking open a bright blue Vial, he hurled his boomerang, Wilder, to the skies. Crackling with Dust and spinning fast, it made a graceful arc above the larger Nevermore and detonated. Sharp needles of Water Dust came bursting down from above like flak, attempting to strike the Grimm from above.

At the same time, he spread his arms wide, the remainder of the Water Dust formed in the image of many large, sharp feathers. Taking inspiration from his enemies, the young Faunus loosed the liquid feathers towards the larger Grimm. Bashir had a glint in his eye and an almost bestial grin as he did so, focussing on it's wings to attempt to bring the beast down.

Gricelda spies the snow-theme human hopping from tree to tree.  She showed surprising nimbleness as she waves to both her and Bashir.  Gris returns the Sammy's wave by swinging her hatchet in the air.  Gris' turns to look at Bashir and was about to speak when her ears picked up a loud screeching noise followed by whistling sounds in the air.  Gris hardly had time to register that it was a Grimm as a flurry of feathers rain down upon Bashir's general area.  One stray feather cuts through the tree cover and impales the ground two feet to her left.

She lets out grunt, annoyed that it was the Grimm that got the jump on them.  She HATED ambushes.  Gricelda immediately seeks out the high ground and joins the others in the trees.  She uses her semblance to propel herself with a powerful gust of wind up on of the more mature trees.  As she nears the upper branches she hooks her hatchet on one of the thicker branches as she gains her footing another tree branch.  From her new vantage point she could make out the dark shape of the Nevermore that initiated the attack even if it was somewhat obscured by leaf cover.

"NEVERMORE!" Gris cried out to warn her companions, though at this point is was quite obvious what they were being attacked by.  As much as she would love to sink her Grizzy Cutty into its feathered flesh, she was out of position and lacked the range to carry out any sort of attack on the creature.  She looks to her allies, make a mental note of their position as she braces for the Nevermore's next move.

As one of them waved back a feather the size of small trees hit the ground close to her than more after that. Sammey jumped to some other trees getting out of the attack zone. Than her two team mates for this hunt joined her on the trees "NEVERMORE!" the other girl yelled out. Her yell was a little late to let everyone know. The other guy was already attacking it and doing something than had a nevermore look to it. *I-is this his Semblance?* Sammey than looked back at the grimm and pulled out her weapon and bow it was in it travel form be about 25% of it full size.

She than opened it forming a full size bow and shot 3 shots at the flying Grimm to help on the other guy and maybe even getting to fall. She than pulled out on of her dust Arrows it was the brown dust and shot it at the grimm shooting 2 this time.

lvl 4 Nevermore 1 : 55 HP | lvl 4 Nevermore 2 : 130 HP

Nevermore 1 was thoroughly confused. First, its target didn’t even try to evade its attack, it just stood there, as if it knew none of the attacks would hit. Granted, it’s not like it had shot its volley with the intention of hitting him, but it expected at least SOME reaction, no? Weren’t humans and faunus species that were afraid of them? But that wasn’t the only thing that confused Nevermore 1… Wasn’t that a rat-person before? For some reason, Nevermore 1 was now looking at another Nevermore. The Grimm was so confused that it completely missed the boomerang flying over it and raining watery-death on it. It screeched from the pain but it cleared its confusion. Nevermore or not, it was shooting stuff at it and therefore was an enemy.

Dodging when it saw the water feathers coming toward it, the Nevermore simply folded its wings, letting gravity drop its altitude and thus avoiding all damage from the water feathers. Some arrows came flying toward it one catching in its right wing and angering the giant bird even more. Flying higher, it sent a rain of giant feathers on the whole group, intent on making them pay and hurting them all.

Nevermore 2 abandoned the clearing when it realised that the group wouldn’t move annoyed that the usual tactic failed. To be honest, it was the only reason the Nevermores worked together. But this group seemed somewhat stronger than the usual prey. With a dive-bomb move, the bird charged the faunus that was the highest on the tree-top. It saw the feather attack from its partner go down on the group and was ready to catch its target as it moved to avoid the dead-rain, using it’s claws to slash at the hunter in training.

Bashir looked startled as the Nevermore came in for a Slash at his team-mate, but even more startled when a huge volley of feathers came down again, a tactic that they seemed highly fond of. This time the Rat was prepared, though. Maintaining his Nevermore form, he took two quick steps forward as a feather impaled the floor behind him, hopping back one step as another skewered the ground in front. "Griz! Here it comes! Sammey, keep up the assualt!" he shouted, another bottle of Dust produced from his belt. Popping the cork out and letting it flow into a spiral around him, he mumbled something sounding not unlike a prayer, before activating the Dust.

He formed spinning spirals of water in the skies around the Nevermore diving for Gricelda, hoping that it would have to crash through at least one of them during it's dive attack. Spinning around, he aimed up at the one still flying high. Two orbs of water formed on either side of him, beginning to spin until they spat out a barrage of rapid-fire water blasts, aimed to the left and right of the flying creature. His plan being that Sammey could now get a clear shot, or it would have to dodge through his attack and risk getting hit.

Gris observed her teammates and the Grimm as she waited for an opportunity to strike.  When the volley of feathers rained down, Gris was ready.  She heard Bashir cry out about the oncoming attack and nonchalantly called out:

"Yeah yeah, I see it coming!"

As the hail of ebony razor feather's fall from the sky, Gris' fleet footedness allowed her to bounce from branch to branch to avoid each of the deadly projectiles.  She grins as she successfully dodges the attack but it was short lived as a dark shadow looms over her.  Her eyes widened as the second Nevermore dived at her to preform a slash attack upon her.  Following her instincts she raised her shield to lessen the impact but she still took almost the full brunt of the attack.  The slash sent her body propelling backwards as the  branch from under her splintered. She is caught by another thick tree branch as her backside is slams full force into it.

"Ooof."
she yelps as her back slides off the branch but manages to catch her footing on another branch only few feet below during her momentary fall.

Regaining her ground, she looks up angrily to the Nevermore that dared attacked her.  Without hesitation she activates her semblance to propel herself from the branch to the Nevermore before it had the chance to fly out of range once more.  As she rides her howling gust of wind, she readies her handaxe to a clean strike across the fell black beast's gut, determined to make her target bleed.

Sammey had pulled out another arrow and got ready for her next attack on the grimms before them. As she armed the bow and pulled back on it some spinning spirals of water in the skies. Sammey looked over at the guy in the group and than back at the in coming Grimm and shot one arrow at it. There was a opening in the spinning spirals of water for a shot and she took it. As Sammey get another arrow she seen the header some howling gust of wind and seen the other girl attack another Grimm. *An-another Nevermore bu-but why!?!? and How?!?!?*

She than turned and shot at the Nevermore after other girl hit it than she got another arrow out and shot once more before the Nevermore was hopefully able to attack. Sammey looks at the first Grimm that attacked and it looked like the guy had it and stated to go after the 2nd Grimm.

The Nevermore 2 wasn’t really impaired much by the water twisters. The sky was its domain and dodging those was almost trivial. They actually helped it since they hid its charge toward the wolf faunus. The faunus, while trying to block, used a shield that seemed somewhat less than useful against his attack, so the full strike still hit her, barely even deviated at all. The Nevermore was feeling satisfaction at landing the hit and was about to fly away, but the water twisters this time were against him since he couldn’t dodge the incoming attack from the same hunter he had just wounded. The hit was painful to the bird but it still took the chance of its prey being in the air to try and counter attack. The Nevermore’s claws swiped furiously at the hatchet wielding faunus, trying to hit her again.

Meanwhile, Nevermore 1 was also thinking of diving to attack the Nevermore-lookalike on the ground. Of the three preys, only the one currently engaged in an aerial fight with the other Nevermore looked like it was a close range fighter. The other white haired female was using a bow and the other one was actually now a Nevermore somehow. To the actual bird, that last part made it look like it had the advantage over the other “bird”. A Nevermore on the ground is at a disadvantage since it is hard for them to move away from attacks in the middle of the forest. Since the other person attacking it was a long-range fighter, taking it close and personal would also be to its advantage. The sky might be a Nevermore’s domain, but with the twisters, the water bullets and the arrows reaching it in the air, the ground and the possibility using trees as shields made it a safer option. So taking it as a lucky break, it charged with a screech in between the water attacks. It did see the arrow coming but with the diving attack it had started and the lack of room to escape because of the water blasts on each side, there was no way for it to avoid it. The arrow lodged in its right wing, making it harder to fly, but that was ok, it was going to the ground anyway.

With eyes only for its Nevermore-looking opponent, Nevermore 1 crashed into it, claws first, planning to wrestle the other bird on the ground. Since it was coming from above, the grounded Nevermore couldn’t retaliate with its own claws. The true Nevermore was certain it had the advantage in that attack.

This was curious, he headn't expected the other Nevermore to dive straight for him, though it was coming faster than he'd liked, it would make for an interesting change...using Dust at range was something he was less good at... It was coming pretty fast though. The Faunus angled his body slightly, thinking that if he took the hit he could land a square hit on it. Thankfully his semblance was an illusion, had he been a real Nevermore the thing would have torn out his throat with that attack. His neck, on the other hand, was in a little but of a different place. The sharp talon sliced down his arm as he pulled it back, his Semblance's effect shattering, Dust wrapping around it to form a Beowulf claw of swirling water. He used the beast's own momentum against it as he tried to impale it onto the claw, leaning his own Grimm mask against its'. "It's okay, spirit, you don't have to fight any more..." He whispered, in his free hand he'd pooled the remainder of the Dust into a small symbol, and thrust it at the beast, aiming to simly scatter it to the wind.

Gris took satisfaction as her bold strike hits true and making her foe suffer.  Gricelda spins mid-air to inspect the damage she was done as she fall from the sky and into the forest below.  The Nevermore however was persistent as it quickly went for the offensive and tried to reengage with her.  Clawed talons outstretched move to cut into her flesh but this time Gris would not be taken off guard as the last time the monstrous black bird struck her.

As its claws near, Gricelda activates her semblance propel herself upwards to avoid the attack, riding roaring whirlwind of air as she does so.  This puts herself face to face with the Nevermore, which was more as less her plan.  Gris goes for swing with her axe at the bird braincase, following up her initial attack with two more cleaving strikes on the Nevermore's backside as it flies past.  Gris disengages from combat and continues to fall from the sky,  she takes a moment to look back to the Nevermore.  Gris appears to be wearing a gleeful grin as she observes the damage she has inflicted on her Grimm opponent and cares little for the fact that she is falling from the air.

As she was falling she seen her skirt being blow up by the wind hitting them as they fail. She grabbed the front of her skirt with her left hand and the other girl with her right. Sammey made sure she had her before teleporting onto the tree she jumped off form. She give the other girl a little shy smile than started to jump from tree to tree to get off another shot.

She was able to find a spot where there wasn’t anything to get in the way for her shot as she pulled out some more arrows and armed and shot off a total of three shots at the Girmm.

One can only predict what he knows. Therefore, there was no way for Nevermore 1 to predict that its target was an illusion. As many experiences it had, illusions weren’t something common so it hadn’t experienced anything like it before. It did feel its claw scratching something and realised that it had hit the arm of one of those animal-people type of person. It was actually the one it saw at the start of the fight and in a way wasn’t surprised it was back in this form, since it cleared some of the confusion it had at first. Nevermore 1 really did believe it had been facing another Nevermore or at the very least someone that had fully transformed into a Nevermore. It wasn’t expecting its attack to slide through its target like air and was definitely not expecting it to attack back with claws made of water. The soothing words did reach the creature, but before it could even comprehend what was said, it couldn’t think anymore and started to slowly dissolve.

Nevermore 2, on its part, wasn’t even in a situation to be aware of what had happened to its partner. The hatchet wielding thing that tried to fight a king of the sky in its element was pretty annoying. The movements of the faunus were limited in the air and the Grimm took advantage of the unnatural shifts in the air currents. For a whirlwind of air to support and propel a humanoid being, it has to be very strong. Such a strong wind will affect the surrounding air, creating a vacuum effect. The effect wasn’t strong like one a tornado would do, not strong enough to pull everything around it, but a bird uses the natural air currents to fly, if they are suddenly pulled in the other direction or become chaotic, the bird can’t fly and will fall like a rock. In the Nevermore’s case, it simply helped him avoid the following attacks. The Grimm could actually have compensated the shift in the air and continued straight, but instead took that opportunity to curl its wing inward and drop down a few meters out of range of the faunus until the wind got back to normal.

Unfurling its wings and regaining a stationary position, it looked around for the other human with the annoying pointy sticks. The Nevermore found it grabbing the falling faunus and disappearing. It didn’t miss the two girls reappearing on a tree close and followed the movements through the branches. It might have been more difficult to do had the trees been full of leaves. As it was winter, she might as well have been running on the ground. An eye on the hatchet wielding meat-bag, the other on the archer meat-bag, the Grimm spotted the ending of its partner from the corner of its vision. Still, it could see the archer shooting at it and rolled to the side to avoid the first arrow. The second one was avoided with a quick raise in height and the last one with a quick drop. There was no way this bird would be hit by a straight forward attack like that anymore.

Still, there was a limit as to what the bird itself could do in this situation. They were too spread out for a feather attack on all of them. Also, both the melee fighter that wanted to fly and the water user that could disguise as a nevermore seemed to be proficient on the ground so there was no advantages to be had in going to the ground. It could rain death on them from higher than the pointy sticks-chick could reach, but they would also see it coming and it would evade easily… So what was there that it could do? Cut its loss and leave? Living to eat another day? As if!

With another screech, the Nevermore decided to attack the bow wielding twin tailed girl. She liked to stand in trees, so the trees had to go down! With a dive, it seemed like it was going to crash into the tree the girl was on… and it actually did, uprooting it and sending it flying on the next tree beside it. Not breaking its flight from this minor an impact, the Nevermore flew back up and circled for another pass.

The Rat faunus panted heavily as the Nevermore dissolved away from before him, holding his arm. He thought he was being to reckless with this fight, and that was something he couldn't make the mistake of doing with this other bird... Turning around with a start as he heard the trees begin to crash down behind him, seeing the huge avian crashing through them. "G..Griz! Sammey! Hang in there!" he shouted as he reached back to grab some Dust. No.. using up this much energy and getting wounded was starting to take it's toll on the young Faunus. Instead, he reached back on the other side, taking Wilder into his hand and redeploying it. The three bladed wings of the disc sprang into position as Bashir traced them with his finger. "Another one to lay to rest, no time to waste..." he mumbled as he adjusted his footing. He took a deep breath as he reached back with his arm, carefully aiming before taking a few quick steps forward, spinning and releasing the blade on a graceful arc for the Nevermore. He started running for the position his Boomerang would return to him at. Surely, if the Nevermore could dodge the first blow, it wouldn't be expecting the one on the way back... especially if it was busy avoiding the attacks it knew were coming, the little disc may go unnoticed...

Rats, thought Gricelda.  None of her axe attacks hit their mark, at most only ruffling the monster's plumage.  Gris grits her teeth and looks down to the tree canopy fast approaching her as she falls from the sky.  Falling out from the sky at sub-terminal velocity would have be terrified most people but for Gris it was of no concern.  After all, she could rely on her semblance to cushion her fall at the last moment to protect her from any injury from the  fall.  At least that is what she would have done IF her companion Sammy didn't leap and suddenly appear besides her.  Gris could barely open her mouth to demand what the human was trying to do before she found herself falling onto a thick tree branch gut first.

"Wha- Oollffff!" she gasps as she unexpectedly found her stomach smacking into a well supported tree branch. As she dangled there with her arms and legs,  Gris let out moan. She turns her head to Sammy with a glazed expression on her face.  Sammy stands there, giving what Gris thinks of being a smug smile before darting off.  Gris mummers something mean-spirited as she takes a moment to recover from what felt like a solid punch to the gut.  She lets out heave and pulls herself up onto the branch, scanning the battlefield.

Gris growls as the blasted bird circles around them in the sky far above after a daring attack on that ice girl.  Gris dashes over to another nearby tree, carrying herself with the winds of her semblance.  Frustrated with any lack of means to attack it from her current position, she called out to her teammates.

"Hey!  I can't do anything from here while that beast still flies.  If one of you can clip its wings I can finish this skirmish nice and clean-like."

Lvl 4 Nevermore 1 *DEAD* | Lvl 4 Nevermore 2 90 HP

The Nevermore didn’t understand the sudden calm. It saw the metal disc passing by, avoiding its original path with a bit too much ease with a simple stronger flap of the wings to rise a meter higher and let the weapon sail under its body. It had already seen the thing move so it knew it could probably come back, but it wasn’t something the bird understood that well and had its attention been split, it would have probably missed it, but with nothing coming its way as a form of distraction, it could keep an eye on the weapon easily and avoided the return flight of the boomerang.

Trying to find a weakness, the Nevermore spotted the little archer seemingly having trouble. Her current emotional state was attracting the bird somewhat, she felt a bit distressed and that’s the kind of emotion that draws a Grimm’s attention Hunters sometimes do forget that these creatures are attracted to negative emotion. The more someone is affraid or panic, the less the Grimms can resist targeting them.

With a screech, the Nevermore shot a volley of feathers toward the white haired girl. The attack was centered on her but it was wide enough to reach both the others on the edge of the attack.

Bashir jumped up, catching his Boomerang on it's return flight and re-clipping it to his belt as he landed. He gritted his teeth in frustration; this thing wasn't going to go down easily... he had to think... something it wouldn't be expecting... His train of thought was interrupted as the feathers started crashing down around him, seeing Sammy hurt, he sprinted through the volley to shield her from the attack, taking his fair share of hits from the blast. "H...hey, I got an idea..." he said weakly, panting as he grasped at a cluster of Dust from beneath his cloak. "You think you can provide Griz some covering fire? If you're up to it, I need you in the air... a pincer attack... If you're not afraid of getting hurt, that is..."

Standing up slowly, ,he turned to face the airborne Grimm, looking at it's flight path, and knowing that it'd be back for another attack. "Hey..! Griz...! You up for something stupid and dangerous!?" He shouted over, looking back at Sammey too, "Grab some of the destroyed bark, big enough to stand on, both of you! You're going airborne!" He shouted as he crushed the dust cluster in his hand, water dust trailing around him as he pants softly, focussing hard as he weaves it through the air, then into four spots on the ground, each beginning to froth and surge with water. His eyes snap open as he brings his arm up in a dramatic sweep, the pinkish hues of his spiritual aura almost visible from the sheer focus of the attack. "Geyser!" he shouts as he raises his arm, the spots on the ground erupting one by one into columns of water that blasted into the skies around the Nevermore, delaying the last eruption to give enough time for his team-mates to get on top of. If they weren't careful, they might take some damage, but it was worth a shot... "Take it down! Ride the last one into the skies!"

With a hop and bounce, Gris lands onto another tree branch that could support her weight, avoiding a single stray razor feather that splintered apart the tree branch she was standing on just moments before.  She lifts her head as her ears pick up Bashir yelling a question about being up for something dangerous.

"Stupid and dangerous!?  I like the sound of that, whats the plan!?" out called the wolf faunus

Gris furrows a brow as Bashir's plan seemed to invovle tree bark.  She wasn't sure where he was going with this but... she trusted him enough that she will take part of whatever crazy bold plan he has conjured up.  Any destroyed bark where she is would have fallen down to ground level so... Gris figured she would have to make her own.   Gricelda walks her way up the tree branch to the main trunk, raising her hatchet and letting the blade head sink into the wood.  She twists the axe head until a sizable slab of wood and bark pops off the tree trunk, carrying the section of tree under her arms.

"Okey, now what!?" cried out Gris as she leaped from branch to branch to get closer to the remaining Nevermore, still not seeing how this was going to get her up to the air.

Then erupted a column of water rising high in the air as her teammate cried out the word 'Geyser'.  Was that suppose be her cue?  If so... she still didn't see how it was going help be get up the Nevermore as second and third spout of water rises above the treetops.  She watches the water colums until Bashir yelled something along the lines of riding the last geyser to the skys that she finally unstood his grand plan.

"Understood!  What... which one is the-"

The final geyser erupts, Gris hesitates as she wasn't sure if she was suppose to this geyser or the next geyser.  It was in her hesitation that she realizes that if this was the last geyser she was about to lose she elevator up the big bad bird.  Gricelda thus leaps into the geyser, but her hesitation costs her a safe journey up.  Gris tries to ride the column of magic water up on her make sure bark surfboard but losses her balance almost as soon as the piece of wood touched the pillar of water.  Both she and the piece of wood end up caught up torrent of water and are pushed up.  Gris attempts to orientate her razor shield in opposition to the direction of flow to defend her body from the brunt of the force, more or less riding up the geyser as she holds her breath and huddles around her shield as best as she could.  Its anti-dust nature shields her from the most serious of injury.

Gris gasps a gulp of air as the geyser reaches its maximum extend, gravity now starting to try to bring her back down to the ground.  She tries to re-orientate herself as she once again begins her decent, spotting the Nevermore only a few meters out of reach.  Thinking fast, Gris nabs the piece of wood that also went along with her for the ride up and plants the soles of her boots onto the bark as if she was riding a hoverboard.  She inhales air through her nostrils, unleashing her semblance and propels herself on a tornado of wind headfirst to the Nevermore.  The piece of wood flies off as equally fast in the opposite direction.  This time, she crashes herself straight onto the monster's feathered breast, grasping onto its mass of feathers with her left hand as her body dangles in place.  She breaths at rapid pace, even she was starting to feel the fatigue of combat.  Gris lets out a grunt as she raises her axe, as she was going to make certain that she will be the one to bring this bird down from the sky.

"Grrraaahhhh!" roared the girl as she goes for the first full swing into the creature's chest.  She cut into... something.   Whether it was flesh or plumage she cut into she wasn't sure but Gris went for another swing with her axe.

"Hrruuaaagh!" she growled as attempts to embed her weapon to strike deep into the creatures vitals.  She could feel the sweat slowly dripping from her brow as she raises her axe for on last attack.

"Hyaaahh!  Die already would ya!?" pants Gris as lugs her weapon to deliver the final blow, aiming for where she guessed the monster's black heart would be... assuming it even had a heart.  To her, it felt like a good hit but as far as she is away, she could have hit something completely non-vital.  After her last swing, Gris continues to cling onto the bird's plumage but her is quickly losing her hold.

As the nevermore sated it 2nd attack the only guy on the team came running to Sammey. He then took some hits form the Nevermore attack. Sammey didn’t know why he did that but he did. "H...hey, I got an idea..." Sammey just kind of looked at him like a lost puppy *D-did h-he ju-just come into the att-attck zone to te-tell me that?* "You think you can provide Griz some covering fire? If you're up to it, I need you in the air... a pincer attack... If you're not afraid of getting hurt, that is... Grab some of the destroyed bark, big enough to stand on, both of you! You're going airborne!"

Sammey nodded and did that was asked of her luckily for her the was a pace of bark big enough for some like five to ten year old kid to use and that was a one she needed. Sammey seen the guy getting ready and the nevermore as she put the bark down and got on top of it. "Geyser!" Sammey than turned her head “Wh-whaaaaaaaaaaaatttttt” As she was shot into the air Sammey TP’ed behind the nevermore and shot two Earth dust arrows at it than she TP’ed into it back holding on for dear life.

Nevermore
Lvl 4 Nevermore 1 *DEAD* | Lvl 4 Nevermore 2 *DEAD*
!!VICTORY!!

There wasn’t much the bird could do in this situation. The first two geysers were avoided but, be it on purpose or not, avoiding them prevented the Grimm to avoid the third one. The water’s pressure pushed the creature back and made it tumble in the air, trying to gain back its balance on the currents. The damage from the water Dust in itself was enough to make the Grimm move slower, but having its feather waterlogged didn’t help either. Flapping its wings as hard as it could to gain back altitude, the Nevermore heard the fourth geyser erupt behind it but wasn’t too concerned, it was obviously far enough.

Observing the ground, the bird could only see that one guy with the metal disk that was using all that water on them. Where were the other two females? In its confusion after the initial hit, it lost sight of them and never in a million year would it have guessed that they rode on the geyser that spouted behind, those things hurts! There was no way they would subject themselves to more pain just to get in the sky… And that was the thought that caused its demise.

It first felt something hit its side and quickly guessed that it was one of the hunters. Trashing about a bit, it tried to dislodge the faunus girl but was then hit in the back by the second earth arrow sent by the white haired girl with the bow, the first one having been avoided while trashing. The sudden pain and damage made it stiffen, allowing the hatchet to finally land a clean hit squarely in the Grimm’s chest after the first two only hit plumage and none of the flesh. Who knows if Grimms have things like hearts or brains or even vitals, but they usually seem to die faster when hit in those place.

With all its life force leaving it, the Nevermore started to dissolve silently in the air, leaving the two girls to the mercy of gravity. It was now up to them to find their own “landing strategy” as some crazy people say.

Gricelda Mee

Gricelda Mee
((Skipping Kindlingrat since due to inactivity. Hope to see you soon buddy!))

There was something satisfying about landing the killing blow and watching the black beast dissolve before her very eyes. As the creature dissipates as it falls though the sky, so do Gricelda. Even as she falls, she expels a heavy breath and rolls her sore shoulders. She spins her body to to see the herself and the ground coming closer and closer, the terrain already cleared of trees due to battle. She could feel the wind resistance blowing across her face, faster and faster she seems to fall as the closer and closer. To most observers unaware... they would surely have thought this was the face of a girl ready to accept her fate of death.... but for Gris... it was rush as adrenaline was pumped into her system. For her... it was euphoria. As she approached the ground, she lets go of her axe and pulls both hands in front of her, a jet of air rushing past her arms as it quickly slows and cushions her otherwise lethal decent. For a second it would seem that she was hovering above a foot above the ground... but only for that mere second. Suddenly her roaring winds give away and she falls to the ground... at only a one foot distance. She lands on the floor with "Ooof", picking herself up as she rolls her head and stretches her weary arms. She hears a distinct thud and looks, seeing her trusty axe embedding itself in the topsoil a good few inches in the ground. It would have gone right through her skull if it was another 18 inches to her left. Gris however was unphased, pulling the hatched out with a jerk from her right arm. Appearing pleased, she looks to the direction of her companions in the distance, calling out to them.

"Ha haa haa! That was exhilarating! Next time though, let be know which geysers there are so that I know which one to ride up?! I guess this had been a successful hunt now so lets start heading back yet? I can't WAIT to tell Chloe and Hyght all about this..."

And with that, Gricelda makes her exit... exhausted but appears to look very satisfied on the results of this particular excursion.
