Hydra was eager to get to know everyone, well, her fellow Huntsmen and Huntresses in training. She decided one of the best ways to actually meet most of them would be to gather them in one spot.
After several hours of thinking, an idea popped into her head. It was a simple idea, really... she'd just throw a party. Where better a place to party than a beautiful lake? Nowhere, that's where. Leastwise, that's how Hydra thought. Over the next hour, Hydra speed-wrote invitation after invitation, running five pens out of ink and scrapping hundreds of messups. After Hydra finally had a sizable stack of invitations, she set out to deliver them.
Invitations:

She strolled through the dorms of the Academy and slid one in each door, left one at every table in the cafeteria. She even went so far as to pin it to a small bulletin board near the training arena. As soon as she had handed out what she considered 'enough' invitations, she rented an airship, as expensive as that was, and traveled to Springwood to prepare. By the time anyone got there, it would be ready and waiting with free food and a nice place to sleep.

Now, Richard wasn't particularly one for parties... far from it actually; he did indeed loathe the occasions. But, and this was a rather big but, Richard knew fine well that parties more than anything else involved food. Judging by the hand written nature of the invitations also, not to mention water being involved... somehow, Richard had put two and two together to make out that this wasn't a formal kind of party. This meant that, more likely than not, the food would be free. He wouldn't have to pay an entry, that would have been written on the invite almost for certain. It would be shady and annoying if it wasn't.

So Richard, using an old set of shorts in place of actual swimming trunks as he owned none, made his way toward the airship. He had little real intent on swimming, certain that the pool would be filled with people, but regardless he'd come along for the meal. He figured he could probably also use the party for recognisance, he hadn't heard of this Hydra nor had he particularly looked into any of the new students. If it came to fighting Richard was not one to over estimate his abilities, perhaps even slightly underestimating himself, so it would be good to know these things should he come to blows with another student.

He entered the airship surprisingly one of the first despite his lazy demeanour, but kept mostly to himself at the back. He'd arrived in his long green trunks and what could only be described as one of the most mangled white tank tops imaginable, having seen it's share of hunts, and beneath his arm was a dark green towel. He hadn't brought his weapon, but that by no stretch of the imagination meant he was unarmed. In his right pocket were housed two crystals of ice dust. In the left he had two electric. He figured in a water filled environment, if a fight were to break out, these would be of the most use to him. He would keep entirely to himself at the back of the ship but upon arriving at the destination attempt to make a B-line directly toward the food.

Liyla stared intensely at the paper she now held. A party was good, a party was great, even. The smile on her face grew wider, and wider, until eventually she came across the words "swim wear". Her face began to flush red, her mind flooding with thoughts.
No, no... She couldn't... She was going to anyways, but she shouldn't...

She was going to go to this party for two reasons. Swimming, and staring. She couldn't help herself from staring, but she was going to try her very hardest not to be a massive pervert, but... Well... Hope for the best, she supposed.
Her 3'10" stature was childish and cute, so therefore her swimsuit of choice was a cute, childish, pink and frilly one. She wasn't a particularly good swimmer, what with her body unbalanced due to three of her eight spider legs getting cut off, and even still she wasn't... "Great", per say...

Putting on the swimwear, Liyla quickly threw on a white T-shirt that fell to her knees, threw the door to her dorm open, and made a B-line for the designated pick up location. Bursting into the airship, she skidded to a halt, looking around to see absoutely nobody else in there, besides one man. She took a seat near the front of the airship, eagerly awaiting the arrival.

Merlin had first saw the post on her way to the training arena posted up on a bulletin board. of course she was going to go to combat training, she felt a strange urge to go to the party. The offer free food in mind that meant cheap food, sugary food. for the first time she actually felt happy about doing something with people, granted she might not like some of people she was probably going bump intobut that was a thing called tolerance. Off back to her room to get dressed up for a swim party.

Merlin decided to wear something new, the old wetsuit was getting rather ragged from the extremes she put it through. First she put on a new white suit accompanying it with a blue half coat cover her arms buttoning it up as it only fell just above her assets. Taking a moment to slide the thigh high leggings of the same material up her legs which made her legs feel like they are being hugged tightly the feeling she enjoyed all too much. While the suit itself road high in to her crevices the more she moved her body and limbering up feeling how it fit. it felt snug and comfy after working it in. the coat was more to keep her arm warm while traveling her legs she felt where fine.upon approving her new outfit she slid on a pair of boots that seem to come of the outfit they were comfy definitely need to be broke in.

Getting onto the airship leaving for the party Abigail sat in front where she get herself a seat and once landed she went straight for the food and begins the feast by licking a cupcake ever so slowly of all its frosting, while she teased each tender lick with a small mount of frosting she piled another plate with veggies of every kind as it seemed the party had just started so there was no meat yet. merlynn had also seen some one by the food who she knew little about but had seem him around the school alot over the years. she walked up to richar with a plate piled 5 inches high with food and in her other hand the cupcake she was nursing on with her tounge in a slow manner. "hey your ri... di....dick right?" she said to Richard her hair had started to grow out more as she no longer was keeping the pixie cut like she did when she first joined.

Xue had been wandering around the Academy as he wanted to familiar himself with the layout in case he had to find a special area within a limited time frame. Having noticed one of the invitations lying on one of the tables at the cafeteria and he being curious about them picked it up and proceeded to read over it and after a few moments of thought had decide to at least try and join the party so he could start socializing with other students.

Walking in his original attire Xue had a pair of trunks he could use as swimwear and a towel with him as he boarded the airship, taking a spot in the back he settled in for the flight as he looked around and wondered how long this would take and what would happen. Within his own thoughts Xue made it quite clear that he wouldn't get dressed for swimming if there was no reason to it and hopefully he wouldn't be forced to draw his sword which was settled in it's sheath by his side.

When they landed Xue walked a bit away from the others and looked around before giving a wide smile as he wondered were he would start and then noticed two people at least over by the food and though he was hungry he would wait until a bit later before digging in and he didn't want to ruin his white attire with food stains by being shoved into the food when the rest rushed for it.

People had arrived, and for that Hydra was very pleased. It seemed that she would truly get to familiarize herself with at least a few of her fellow students... if not befriend. She bounded out of the neat little log cabin that served as the kitchens, as well as housed the restrooms. She had been helping the cooks clean up, but seeing people arrive they had shooed her out. There were multiple splotches of discolored fabric on Hydra's once-white overcoat from accidental splashes of cleaning solvent.

Since they had scattered, Hydra chose to greet the closest first. Approaching the food table at a drastically reduced pace, she waved at the boy standing by it and, once within hearing distance, she spoke. "Hello there! I'm Hydra. I'm glad you showed up!" As she spoke, she smiled and extended her hand for a handshake. She would have just hugged the boy, but he didn't seem like the kind of person who'd appreciate that.

Richard Lionheart

Perusing the tables, ladened with all kinds of food stuff Richard had come to a rather... Richard-like problem. If he was the social type, yet still retaining other aspects of his personality, he might well have poisoned this food. He knew fine well the likelihood of this being the case was far outweighed by the likelihood that it wasn't yet it still kept Richard on edge. On the side of it being poisoned was the fact that this was a swimming party, something he had never heard of despite how common they were, one would be able to accurately gauge a person's physical strength through sight at this event. So much skin exposed and quite a lot of tight costumes, it was almost too simple. Richard, despite his size, was quite strong.

His training more focused on dust, however, his primary method of combat being focused on throwing dust and his weapon so his arms, bizarrely long as they were, were quite well toned. The rest of his body was relatively typical for a slightly athletic person, not incredibly muscular but lacking a lot of body fat. He certainly wasn't in peak physical condition though. A quick glance around told him that most others weren't quite as obvious as him, especially the one girl even shorter than him... the host's sister or daughter perhaps? But she had been on the airship... hadn't she?

Regardless Richard returned to the task at hand, figuring out whether or not this food was poisoned... it all smelt good but he knew not to let that throw him off. On the side of the food not being poisoned... well... he had come to accept not everyone was as analytical as him at this academy. Most of them looked like dumb body builders or self-absorbed athletes rather than intellectual types. There had been some less stable people of course but they seemed to be more the... over the top type. That and if someone did want to discover the strengths of the academy's hunters they could just hang around the training arena for some time, likely to greater effect. He was about to reach for a muffin, figuring that it would be harder to bake in poison than to mix it like in the drinks (Though sealed cans were there) when he was approached almost simultaneously by two women. Both taller than him.

The blue haired one arrived first, having some kind of gnarly face tattoo which immediately did intrigue Richard, extending a hand to him. Having not seen her on the ship, he was fairly certain he would recognise such distinct features, and judging by the extended hand and speech... she was probably the hostess. This was good, he could probably figure out whether the food was poisoned or not before eating it then. Taking her extended hand Richard shook it somewhat loosely, he was about to speak when the blonde one said a shortened form of his name... this form did annoy him but he didn't let it show.

Externally he simply responded, "Oh, no. You must have me mistaken for someone else." Releasing the woman's hand he ceased shaking it, now addressing the two simultaneously, "My name roughly translates into tong, funnily enough, as Hunter. More accurately "The one who Hunts." Names are quite strange where I come from. Hunter will do fine." Turning more to Hydra than the other girl, "Thank you, it's nice to meet you Hydra. I don't come to many social events so please don't take it wrongly or hold it against me if I vanish early. I'm not the most social person. You must be new to the academy, welcome, what's your major?"

He then turned to the blond girl who seemingly had antlers of some description, "And who might you be?" It was easier to tell an alternate truth than it was to a lie. To liken it to train tracks, in order to lie you had to put whole new tracks down... to tell a different truth was simply flicking a switch to change the route the train was running. From one natural route to another. Richard had not lied yet, having complete neutrality on his lazy looking face as he typically did. He would have been quietly analysing the two girls, the blue haired one who intrigued him especially, but in this situation he felt he had to remain incredibly normal. This girl who he had never met before seemed to know things about him. Richard wasn't the most social of people and so, while people knew the lazy hunter of short stature, to know his name wasn't incredibly common. Let alone to think to shorten it. Heck, he was probably better know as "That guy who hangs out with the weird hairy monkey looking faunus." His chimp was more social than him.

This meant either this girl had been watching him, she'd been at the academy longer than he thought, or that he wasn't being as subtle as he thought. The first and the last were troubling but the second was a positive, to be able to analyse one of his peers and pick at their brain would give him an advantage.

As the airship landed, the small, small girl made a literal B-line fore the food table, before skidding to a halt mid-way through her journey. She quickly shed the overly large shirt she wore to reveal her childish, frilly two piece swimsuit. Holding he shirt with one hand she bolted to a flat piece of land not far from the table, and placed her shirt on the ground, neatly folded. Holding it to said ground with one foot, she hastily picked up some rocks, and placed them on the shirt to act as anchors and hold it down.

With her shirt now gone, most of Liyla's small, thin, child like build was shown off, rather disarming for someone capable of murder, if to be honest.
Now, what wasn't disarming about the small girl was the five individual scythe like appendages now visible, their bases sprouting out of her back displayed clearly, as well as the three extras that looked less clean - the ones that had been removed from her body.
Either way the five spider legs each did short stabbing motions in the air, their little way of flexing, stretching, relaxing after being tucked into her body under the shirt for so long.

Liyla, now clad in her swimsuit only, dashed back over to the food table, her face lighting up brightly and her eyes widening happily as she stared at the food. There was so much of it, so many things, and so much that if she ate it would not show up on her at all, as she was not only incapable of getting taller, she was apparently also incapable of weighing much more than sixty pounds...

it seem that the short male was avoiding telling her his name as he went around it claiming to call him hunter or the one who hunts. cute and clever merlynn just smiled as a blue haired girl approached the two and was a great deal taller then she thought at first. "wow your tall." she said looking up at the blue haired girl first things to come out of her mouth for now as she finished licking the frosting off her cupcake she stuffed it in to her mouth and swallowed it practically whole. no effort was needed as it was compacted with her tongue when she shoved it in to her mouth. with that she started to eat the pile of veggies on her plate starting with a few sweet cherry tomatoes.

she observed for now as she listens to Richard and hydra talk. when asked who she was she promptly spoke "My name is Abigail. welcome to the school I've been here for years its a little rough at first but you will get to know everyone one way or another." she said with a nice small smiled more one that did not show teeth but showed peacefulness. merlynn was soon turn her attention to the others around and then looked at rich. she remembered now while looking through the records of students via year books she remembered who this short stack was. "well if you don't mind i'm going to take a dip in the water its been ages since I've gone for a swim. Hunter I'll see you around count on it." she said looking at him with a look of sharp interest while walked away from the two with her plate almost empty as fast as she had gathered the food she was eating it.

she was quickly passed by another smaller faunus even smaller then rich looking more like a child at first but upon seeing the spider legs she put that into account. probably the child like attire she was wearing was all that she could afford. After all ones attire could amount for how active you where better cloths could mean better income.

Xue looked around at the gathered people as he took in the view, not that he didn't want to socialize with them and all that it was in fact the opposite, Xue had a hard time just holding himself back from rushing over to a few and start a conversation as he really wanted to met new people and make some friends. Still he was holding him self back out of respect for the holder of the gathering as he wanted to make sure they had an easy time talking to people and did not have to deal with an energetic bundle of joy and conversation for who knew how long.

Looking over a few of the gathered he was quite interested in the female who was moving towards the water and seemed would be going for a swim or something kin to it sooner rather then later and then there were the two by the food stand. One looked like a small person but it also seemed he was taller in some other aspect if not the physical one and Xue would have to ask him a few things if he were to get the chance. Then there was the blue haired girl which he pondered had to be hostess of this entire gathering and Xue made a mental note to thank her for the invitation at least once during this whole ordeal as he did not want her to feel like he was rude.

He also noticed someone looking like a small child in a swimming suit but there was also the spider appendages that he found cute for some reason or another, perhaps it was just the difference in the two which made him think so but either way he wouldn't ponder that much longer as he kept looking around before he would choose another spot to stay at and hopefully have others to talk with.
