Summary: Tierra awoke, escaped captivity, jumped off a cliff into rushing waters and lost consciousness.

--------------------------------
" Ugghhh...".

" She's coming to, get ready to administer the drugs again. We can't have her becoming aware enough to Hulk out. The reward is way more if she's brought Alive. I take it that her brothers want the personal satisfaction of killing her...such a sick family ". The voice rung in her ears as she tried to about, not only to find herself in an extremely weakened state, but chained down to the floor of what appeared to be a cage. / What's...whats going on ? /. The cage came to a halt, held up by what appeared to be 4 males. There was a combination of light sources that surrounded her that brought a terrible feeling to her eyes as she slowly came to. Opening her eyes a bit more after they adjusted, she began to make out what was around her...Metallic bars, 4 sources of light that appeared to be torches held by the individuals around her. Beyond the light sources were darkness and trees. Nothing made sense to her at the moment, as much as she tried to put 2 and 2 together. The cage was dropped down to the ground, and immediately she closed her eyes, attempting to keep the appearance of being completely weakened.

The noises of hinges from the opening cage door ravaged her ears, but still she remained dormant, waiting for the right moment. As someone entered the cage, she waited until the foot steps drew closer before she snapped up from her dormant state. Her arms were already black and jagged, pulling up with all her might and snapping the chains that bound her to the floor of the cage. In the same motion, she knocked the syringe from out of the guy's hand and shoulder tackled him into the bars of the cage. She stumbled out of the cage quickly, with 3 guys now blocking her way. One of the guys had what appeared to be a satchel over his shoulder, which unknown to her contained some items of hers, including her full body suit, Glock, and 7 Clips of ammo. " Don't make this hard sweetie...just get back in the damn cage ". The words fell on deaf ears, as she reached for the cage, picking it up with the guy inside, and using it like a club, causing the 3 remaining individuals to dive out of the way. She didn't have it in her to fight since she was medicated, so she darted in the opposite direction that she threw the cage in. " NO! Get her! We catch her, carry her for 4 days, then she escapes!? this is not acceptable!! Get her! " .

The second time in her life where she was forced to run away from the enemy. She couldn't fathom the situation itself, but knew that she just had to run. A good amount of distance had been created between her and her pursuers, but it slowly began to close. The chase continued for a bit, until she came to an opening where it appeared as a dead end. There were no where to really run with the cliff before her, and a really long drop into what appeared to be a river. The max that her semblance could cover under the circumstances was her arms, unlike last time. With such a dangerous drop and little protection, just surrendering got a  little tempting, but then she recalled what she heard as she woke up earlier, and knew that she had a better chance with the drop below. There was no time to wait as they cornered her, so she just flung herself off the cliff, knees folding up to her chest and her forearms motioning vertically up to cover her face. The drop below was quite deep, deep that her pursuers gave up chase for now. Tierra plummeted down, luckily hitting the water instead of the land on the side. The Impact in was great, and while a normal state Tierra would have walked away easily from it, the Drugged and weakened state Tierra lost consciousness, being carried away body upwards afloat by the rushing waters.

Richard Lionheart

Richard Lionheart
It was good to get away every so often. Hilarious as it was for Richard to feel that, the lazy class-dodging good-for-nothing he was, he did indeed feel it wholeheartedly. He was only at the Academy to get the degree for access to jobs, he could do all his learning on his own time through the library and even just one his scroll, and so being surrounded by lecturers as well as students who's learning methods didn't align with his was frustrating... granted that was because his learning method was to snooze for weeks and have single days for incredible productivity/activity but that was beside the point.

He needed his time away regardless and so he had opted to combine his enjoyment of the forest with one of his childhood passions he had recently neglected; fishing. Sat on the edge of the bank, the world suspended in almost total darkness around him, Richard was allowing his hook to dangle just beneath the surface. Attached to it, rather than traditional bait, was a small light; intended to both attract the fish as well as be easily visible when a fish did take a bite. It was doing its job rather well, beside Richard was a bucket already well stocked with reasonably sized river fish and some larger catfish.

Now resting his head in his palm he scanned the land, faunus eyes picking out little details in the darkness. On the other side of the river there had been a doe, simply lapping at the stream, but a few minutes ago something had scared it off; some sound in the distance perhaps. Richard had assumed the creature had simply noticed him when he reeled in, running for its life, and alas nothing had taken its place. Instead he had been left with a rather boring view of the riverside, decorated by shrubs and trees.

He looked behind himself, into his small tent on the waterside. He had no need for torches, being a faunus he could camp in total darkness without any problems, but it did make his tent look more than a little sad to not have any form of light; and so he had opted to light the inside with a hand cranked torch. It additionally was much easier to read under that light than in pitch darkness, even with his vision it was quite the strain. He had packed light, one change of clothes just in case, a couple of hunting books and of course his hunting equipment. He kept one dust crystal, earth, on his person at all times of course, but it interfered with his casting to keep his weapon and all of his dust on his person.

Turning back to the river with a lawn, allowing his eyes to close for just a second, he was very nearly dragged in as something latched onto his line; looking directly to the line however he found the light was still totally visible... but he was surprised by what it was attached to. The river's current was weak where he was, they weren't being pulled with any great force, but in the water before him was a person. He had caught a person by their what looked to be a dress of sorts. The hook had latched on to around the hem of her dress, it wasn't an ideal location to catch a person by and the hem would likely tear if he wasn't quick. She looked to be a human woman with rather unique pink hair, like most every person he'd met she looked to be a good foot taller than him also.

Richard was a rather detached person, he didn't make friends and he didn't have many he would consider allies, but the loss of life he had experienced in his younger years had left him with a value for life. He didn't trust in his reel's ability to safely draw her in so he gently pulled on the wire manually; upon pulling her close enough to the bank the short man laid a hand on her shoulder. In attempting to pull her up and onto the bank he very nearly fell in himself, but on his second attempt he succeeded. He brought a hand to her neck, gently taking and making sure of a faint pulse within her. He quickly turned to his tent, pulling out the torch and cranking it to increase the brightness; shining it in the girl's face. He really didn't want to perform any sort of resuscitation, he hadn't trained in it, but he was fearing he might have to. In the event she could be revived she'd be freezing, Richard doubted his baggy trousers would quite fit the woman, he was short with small legs, but his over-sized hoodie certainly would.

Drawing one of his sloth-bear claws, it slit his skin and unfolded from the top digit of his forefinger, he pressed with some force against her forehead in an attempt to awaken her, "Oi Oi! I'm no good at CPR, it's in your best interests to wake up now!" Should that have failed to rouse her he would next lift one of her eyelids to get a better look at what lay beneath before shinning the light in them directly as an additional form of annoying stimulation.

Summary: Tierra remained unconscious

--------------------------------
A single light cast amidst the vast darkness, Tierra found herself walking up a stairway. " Hello...anyone ? ". She called out to as she continued her way up. In time, the walls revealed themselves within the darkness, and along the walls were picture frames. The picture themselves were still hidden by the darkness, and possessed a very eerie feel to them. Her breathing got a little heavy, and eventually a sudden chill overtook her. Her movements came to a halt on the staircase as she placed her hand on her chest. Tierra couldn't understand what was going on, but she could feel most of her strength leaving her. So many things were occuring in a short period, and a huge feeling of dread followed the cold." What...happened to me ?...that's right ". Her breathing began to normalize, once she began to piece some things together. " I was being chased...and then ".

Having been fished out of the water by some unknown figure, Tierra still remained to show no signs of coming to. Some water during the time of being in the River had been taken, though the amount was really unknown. A good portion of the time until reaching that point of being fished out, she was afloat, and there were many other factors at hand, one of which was her being heavily drugged. The poking of her head by the individual did naught to bring her to, though his next action did prompt a reaction from her body. While still, when her eye was opened and exposed to the light of the torch, the pupil constricted.

Richard Lionheart

Richard Lionheart
Richard let out an audible groan, the girl's pupil constricting was most probably a good sign, but she was still in much too deep. He retracted his claw, deciding to make a couple more efforts before finally opting to perform CPR. The first action was to press hard into her jawline, toward the back, there was a pressure point there which perhaps the annoyance of which could rouse the girl. Doing so he shouted down to her, much louder this time, "If you're not going to wake up, you're probably going to die! You could have hurt your spine falling into the river and my CPR would do more harm than good!"

Failing that he then opted to open her mouth, drawing a claw once more. He first made an effort to be sure she was breathing, holding his hand close to her nose and mouth to feel the flow of air. For a moment he debated plunging in a finger or two in an attempt to initiate her gag reflex, but he wasn't sure if in her water-logged state that would do more harm than it would good. Shifting more water into her lungs maybe? He wasn't sure. Peering down her throat he couldn't see anything he thought was out of order... but he hadn't stared down many throats in his lifetime.

Eventually however he decided this was probably not the best course of action, closing her mouth, he had no idea how this girl had ended up in the river or even if she had been passed out upon arriving in it. She could very well have gotten drunk, wandered into the forest and fallen in or have tried to take her own life. These weren't things Richard had time to question though. She seemed to be breathing, albeit lightly. Her body was reacting, albeit slightly. Once again he reached for her neck to take a pulse once more, only to find what felt like a small hole. Maybe it was an injection site? Maybe it was a bug bite? Richard could only really guess, her heart still beat though.

If she was breathing and her heart was beating, CPR wouldn't do any good, he decided. It was meant to restart the heart and help a person breath, not keep them doing it. Not to mention the spinal injury potential he had brought up earlier. Thus he sought out alternate methods of awakening her... she'd been unconscious in a slow moving river... but would splashing water on her do any good? With a look to his pail full of fish, he decided to tip them all out nearer his tent before filling the pail. It was perhaps a waste of fish but it hadn't been raining, the land was dry, they would likely still be edible.

Tossing the water from the metal bucket over her face, which he did not believe was submerged when he pulled her out. With that done, if there were no immediate reaction, Richard would let out a loud, irritated, growl, he'd done all this over only a matter of minutes but the potential for a loss of life was quite weighing on him. Throwing the pail to the side, it letting out a loud clang as it met with the ground, Richard drew all five claws on his right hand. He was a hunter in training, he was capable of far more than the simple poke he'd given her on the forehead. Pain could break someone out of even the deepest of slumbers and so he moved forward, standing above her, before lunging down to deliver a forceful palm to her shoulder followed by the claws grasping around it.

Now, for a hunter Richard was not particularly strong. He was short, in terms of physical strength he was only a grade above an active civilian or probably on the level of a good police officer, but he still believed this strike could be enough to rouse her. The sudden spike in adrenaline and blood flow would help deal with any intoxicant she had taken or if there was a poison in her system her body would deal with it faster. If the girl were to make any sudden movements or awaken before he could deal the blow however; he would be standing above her in a rather menacing way... not the best of first impressions.

Summary: Tierra regained consciousness, freaked out and attempt to knock Richard away, followed by an attempt to crawl away.

--------------------------------
" I jumped...yea. That's what happened...did I die ? " She questioned as she looked ahead through the dark staircase, seeing a little glimpse of light straight in the center. " I knew I had it coming to me...but at least I tried to be different...if that's worth anything ". she muttered herself, not feeling at piece. as Grim as the setting was deep in her mind, the feeling that maintained grasp over her body rooted even deeper. " I don't want to go yet...". In that instant, a shock jolted through her body, originating from her shoulder, causing her body to tense up and lose balance on the stairway, which would result in her tumbling downwards into the darkness once more.

Being in her weakened state, Tierra winced, recalling a portion of her current predicament. Her eyes slowly opened as her facial expression eased out of wincing, Her head turned slowly to the source of her pain, which appeared to be a claws grasping her shoulder. It took her a second to recollect, and considering her current situation, this gave reason to be immediately alarmed. The claws was connected to an arm, and that to a body towering above her. The only thing that processed in that instant was that one of the guys who had her in captivity earlier had caught up to her and fished her out of the water. She sat up really quickly to the best of her abilities, and with her left hand, she threw it up towards the Proximal radioulnar, that if connected would cause the extended arm to bend inwards, elbow outwards, forcing the claw from her shoulder even at the risk of tearing of her own flesh. The action itself had been dictated by Panic, and was immediately followed up with a punch from right arm while in her weakened state towards his torso in attempts to knock him away from her. As much as she tried, there wasn't much force behind the punch itself, and if successful, she would attempt to crawl away in the opposite direction." Get away from me! ". She yelled towards him, not being able to bring herself completely up to stand.

Richard Lionheart

Richard Lionheart
The girl rose faster than Richard had really expected, prompting him to stumble a little before the punch removed his hand from her shoulder. He continued backward however, her second blow just falling short of hitting the small man. Her punch wasn't strong and judging by how poorly she was crawling she must have still been under the effect of something; be it the mark on her neck or alcohol or even just shock from the pain in her shoulder. He did however recognize that the point she hit had been accurate, she might have known something about anatomy to trigger such a response in him. Regardless Richard thought it best to keep his distance, he had just hit her in the shoulder rather hard, she did have reason to be afraid of him.

The torch shinning some light between the two Richard opened both his palms to the girl, all claws retracted and hands completely empty, "Look, I'm unarmed I didn't try to hurt you that much, you were floating down the river unconscious and I thought it best that I wake you up by whatever means necessary. You could have been dying, I had no idea, a quick blow to the shoulder felt like the best plan." Being unarmed was a lie, no matter how you looked at it. He had a crystal of earth dust hidden beneath his scarf, his weapon and more hidden in the tent, but he figured it was the best way to relax her.

He then pointed with his right forefinger toward the hook on the hem of the girl's dress, the light on the fishhook still shining true. "You drifted along the river and I caught you. It's pretty amazing that I managed to pull you up, let alone successfully wake you up. I was just sitting at the edge fishing when I happened to hook you." As if to emphasize his fishing he then pointed over to the large pile of fish, next to his tent, now laying in the dirt.

Summary: Tierra interacted with Richard.

--------------------------------
With no actual strength in her legs, Tierra found herself still on the ground. She moved in the direction of a nearby tree, grabbing onto it and attempted to pull herself up. Believing she was in a crap situation, she mentally cursed the lack of strength her body had, which hurt on a deeper level since she was one who took pride in her own physical prowess. Failing to pull herself up, She fell back to her bum, turning towards the figure who had his claws in her moments ago. Her fists clenched while positioned to her side, almost as if she was attempting to change some how. Nothing occured though, which made Tierra realize how messed up she was. She watched him with eyes that lacked any kind of Trust, his words of being unarmed falling on deaf ears at first, until she looked around while eyeing down what parts of his body was in view. She couldn't view his backside, which were often where weapons was stationed. Nonetheless, her guard remained up to the best that she could.

As he tried to further explain their encounter, Tierra watched him carefully, while taking a second to look to the things that Richard was non-verbally making note of during his explanation. They seemed to fit well together with his explanation, and it would have been highly unlikely that he cut her off down the River and set this whole thing up, and even if that was the case, it made no sense instead of just taking her, and caging her while she was unconscious. Taking these things into consideration, Tierra opted to believe him, loosening her fists." So...you're not one of them..". Once she became less tense regarding the individual in front of her and awareness stabilized, the sensation of the cold overtook her. She was completely drenched, and her dress tight on her body. It wasn't see through, but naturally she placed her arms over her chest in attempts to hide her body." Thank you...". Her head lowered, her drenched hair coming down to the side and hiding the side of her face all the while she shut her eyes. " I need to get out of here before they find me...".

Richard Lionheart

Richard Lionheart
Richard frowned, the girl seemed to be in some kind of trouble and he had half a mind to leave her to it... however, if she had ended up in a river as a result of them and she was planning on running from them he assumed they didn't have her best interests in mind. If he saved her only for her to die half an hour later this would have been a massive waste of energy. And to be frank... as much as he disliked to admit it, when she stood there all pathetic and cold he couldn't help but feel like he had to do something. He hated that he felt it, and the anger in his face reflected that, but regardless he spoke, "I don't think I have to tell you how difficult that would be for you right now. You might well have taken on water atop whatever has happened to you. I saw a mark on your neck."

Richard wasn't exactly set on helping the girl, he thought he could probably hide her somewhere alone... but he had no idea how skilled they'd be at tracking her. There could be no one tracking her even, she could simply be drugged passed rational thought and have made up a narrative in her head. He could have pressed the point to find out, but wouldn't that just give whoever it was more time to find her? He was confident in his abilities, and they probably had time to prepare for an attack, but with her unable to even stand let alone fight, if she even could regularly, he decided it was probably best to hide with her.

"Look, I'm a hunter from the academy, I've been there for some time. I am unarmed currently but my equipment is in that tent next to you. I think I could hide you from whatever it is that's following you, but were they faunus? If they were they'd be able to see in the dark and it makes things more difficult." Sure, he was hiding from her the crystal beneath his scarf, but in the state she was in it was probably for the best that she trusted him and he hadn't already lied to her. Lifting the bucket from where he had thrown it he made his way over to the pile of fish, quickly gathering the fish within. In doing so he was forced to show his back to the woman, not something he particularly liked doing but she'd have to be a damn good actress to fake her current situation. He continued, "They may fear Grimm and not even follow you this deep, it is quite far off the beaten path. Do you know if they were strong or armed?"

Richard, rubbing his hands off on his baggy trousers, then entered his tent. It was very much made for one, a more traditional green reverse V shaped tent with little space inside. There was a ground sheet down within, made of a crinkly plastic, and the tent opened and closed on either end. Things weren't particularly neat within, his single sleeping bag lying next to a rucksack with clothes falling out of it. His weapon seemed to be the only thing placed neatly, in it's stored form in the far right corner. Grabbing his back up jumper, a big navy blue cotton one made to be big specifically to hide things within, and a makeshift towel in the form of a tattered old blanket he emerged.

Treading toward the girl he found himself more than a little flustered, he wasn't used to this nor did he plan on getting used to it. Emotions of any sort were a weakness for a hunter, he knew that well. Red in the face, not that she'd be too able to see in the dark, extending the blanket and hoodie to her he told her, "I don't think running is an option for you in your current state, and judging by it we probably don't have time to explain why your in it, but hiding probably is."

He had to be sure this girl was okay before he continued, if she was going to scream and disagree with him they didn't really stand much of a chance. If she was too paniced grimm could even amass.

Summary: Tierra interacted with Richard.

--------------------------------
Tierra eyes opened sharply at the mention of seeing a mark on her neck, her left hand moving from covering her chest slowly towards the side of her neck feeling for a mark, which didn't take too long to locate due to the soreness on the spot. She pressed on it slightly, which caused her to wince just a tiny. The image of the guy with the syringe came to her head, making the connection that it was the method of keeping her drugged. When Richard asked if any of them were Faunus, Tierra shook her head a little , not really knowing if any of them were faunus. She was too out of it at the time to really pick up on those details in the dark. " I...don't know ". After those spoken words, she went silent for a bit, looking at Richard while he collected the fishes. She just took a moment, staring his backside down. There were mixed feelings, indicated by her eyes, not particularly towards Richard, but in general. This was the first time in a very long time that she was outright scared, and at the same time extremely angry. She recalled the instant she escaped, and wished that she had the strength at the time to take all their lives for making her feel so powerless. She was so weakened that she couldn't even activate her semblance.

" I don't know if they were armed. They had torches on them but that's all I noticed before I escaped ". Tierra didn't know much about Faunus, nor their good sight in the night, though if she had then the connection would have been made that they weren't since they had torches on them. When Richard handed her the Blanket and the Hoodie, she stared at them for a second, her eyes conveying a different shift in feelings than moments before. Before this instance, if she was handed such items, she would have looked at it with disgust and made a huge fuss about how she wouldn't be caught dead in it. That wasn't the case this time, being so cold and weak, she view them as something mildly special, and appreciated them more than she would display. she grabbed both the blanket and the Hoodie, using the blanket to attempt to dry herself off as much as possible all the while listen to him state the options laid out before them. With his actions of tending to her up to this moment, her emotions of fear and anger eased a great deal. Still she was on high alert due to the situation itself. She didn't disagree with the hiding option, but she was not the one very knowledgeable of the wilderness, and her idea of hiding would entail hiding in a bush or something. " O..Ok. What did you have in mind ? " her voice itself would convey an attempt to focus with a cool head, slowly but surely expelling the panic from before. She put on the Hoodie after she completely dried herself, with her outfit being a little bit dried to the point where it wasn't sticking to her skin and detailing her entire torso, but at the same time still cold to a certain degree. It brought a great deal of warmth to her, blocking the wind from a portion of her body.

Richard Lionheart

Richard Lionheart
"I'll use earth dust, drop the whole tent into a makeshift underground cave and cover the top. If they had torches, plural, I'm willing to bet they were more likely humans or a mixed group. They'll not look for slightly out of place patch of ground in this darkness, they'll be rushing along the river trying to find you after all." He analytically put. "Might even be running along the other side, that would be ideal."

Richard, completely unaware of the closeness of the action, pulled the fish hook from the bottom of her dress before reeling it back in. "If you can make it into the tent then just get in there, get some more rest. Panicking will only draw grimm out, can't panic if you're asleep, which would more than likely be more of a problem than whoever it is that's following you. That and they'd probably hear the grimm and track them to you. But drugging you probably suggests they wanted you live."

Without another word to her, assuming she had no reason not to follow his plan and didn't speak to stop him, he made his way behind the tent and tossed the rod in, drawing forth the dust crystal from beneath his scarf he began to etch a circle around the tent as if it were one of those over-sized chalks children use for drawing on the pavement. As he carved around it a gleam of green light could be radiating from the lines he created. Once he completed the circle he would check to be sure she was okay and inside, not dropping the tent down just yet. The bucket of fish was in the circle's range, after all if they left it out it would be a sure sign something was up.

Summary: Tierra interacted with Richard and got inside the Tent.
- Diary moment

--------------------------------
Sticking with him along the explanation, she nodded a little to indicate she understood, all the while there were a few things that escaped her.  She knew what dust was, though have never really knew or witnessed it's application. Based on what was being explained though, it would appear as if some pretty amazing things could be done with it. What she also got from the beginning of the explanation was that Faunus probably wouldn't have needed torches, or at least multiple torches which she made the connection that Faunus had really good sight at night. Unintentionally, another connection would be made, which was when he grasped her with his " Claws ", which hit her that the person before her was a Faunus...with good sight...who not only fished her out of the water, but probably saw her body outlined by the drenched dress hugging her body better than what the average individual would be able to see in the dark of night. The current situation warranted her to push this thought to the back of her mind for now, but there will come a time for her to bring this back up. Right now she just needed to understand everything that the Faunus was explaining.

The thought attempted to force itself back to the surface though when the Faunus motioned close to her bottom and removed the hook from her dress. It was something that would have probably been met with a thank you under different circumstances. She had enough strength to crawl over to the tent, though his explanation would bring about more questions to her mind, like how would Panicking draw out grimm ? Questions to be asked another time she figured, so Tierra moved off from against the tree that she attempted to use to get up earlier, and began to make a crawl for the Tent that seemed only suitable for one person, and once she made it inside, she would stick her head out for him. She had no disagreements with the plan, but there was some things that came to mind that brought a little internal conflict within her. " Will...you be coming in too ? ". There was a bit of hesitation in her voice, not wanting to come off in a certain way, but if she hadn't asked, there was another way she believed she would have came off as, which was a way she was actively trying to avoid, definitely in a situation where the individual saved her life.

"I mean... I could probably seal it from the inside but the outside would be more effective. If there were any creases I could smooth them out and stuff. You should be able to break through pretty easily though, once your strength returns of course, if getting out's what you're thinking about." Richard, raised mostly in a forest and quite the antisocial person, wasn't even aware of the embarrassment the girl was feeling. Only reason he was embarrassed was these acts of kindness kinda went against what he stood for as a person, hunters were to hunt and little else in his eyes, and so he hadn't performed many. Was going against what pride he had.

Completing the circle Richard entered the tent, passing her, and grabbing his weapon from the far right corner. Not a look in her direction or a second thought... though the proximity was quite close. He then made his way to his bag, withdrawing and attaching all of his dust crystals beneath his scarf. "I'm going to drop and seal it up now. Just keep quiet, I'll check in if I wake up in the morning and you've not broken out. Don't shout or call out, we don't want to risk them finding you... whoever it is. We'll talk in the morning."

Without another word he exited, last of the earth dust in his hand. Pressing it to the dust line the earth in the area beneath the tent and a small radius around it began to sink, reaching a depth of three meters before the top began to seal over it. It was only when the it was completed that Richard realized... he had sealed her down there with a bucket full of fish. Oh well, at least it looked clean enough to be natural, there wasn't anywhere else to put it and she'd probably pass out from the drugs still in her system before she would smell the fish anyway. That done Richard proceeded to draw his claws, using them to aid him in climbing the nearest tree, and sat atop a decently thick branch. Leaning against the trunk, unless complications occurred, he would soon fall asleep; he kept his eyes on the area as he began to drift.

Getting out wasn't the source that proc'ed the question, but it was a very good thing to know. Tierra had stepped into an unfortunate situation, or rather it was thrust onto her it was through some divine blessing that she was saved by this individual. She recalled him mentioning that he fished her out, which meant he was probably doing his own thing, and for her to interrupt it even if unintentionally made her feel a bit bad. She looked down a bit, feeling as if she was a bother, which was strange in itself. She didn't press on the matter, though for a split second she thought he changed his mind when he came towards her and into the tent. While it would have been quite awkward, she wouldn't have felt as bad as if she was taking his bed and forcing him to sleep outside. Unlike him though, her eyes and even to a degree her head motioned as if attatched to his face as he passed her, all the while something very important had slipped her mind.

Tierra nodded slightly, eyes still locked on him as he moved out with his stuff, which would make a bit more room for her to rest comfortably. She understood everything, and felt relieved that in this situation, she would be able to rest comfortably due to this individual. She wanted to thank him once more, but for some reason withheld it as she descended into the ground, which was followed with the top being sealed off. She remained looking to the ceiling for a moment before looking down as she got ready to move completely back into the Tent. In that motion, she caught herself and froze at the sight of the bucket of Fish. With the area sealed off, the thought of what was to come repulsed her even while in her weakened state. Tierra reached up as if to knock on the ceiling, but stopped mid ways recalling his most recent words, which caused her to want to cry inside. / Oh God no...Noooo...Ewwwwwww / words going through her head as she looked at the fish, the smell not having yet overtaken the room. It couldn't be helped now, so she released a sigh before moving inside the Tent. Since underground, she didn't have to worry about the cold, so she motioned the crumpled up Blanket underneath her head, pushing it all together to make a psuedo pillow to rest her head. The Hoodie itself acted as a cover, and with that she closed her eyes. It would be awhile before she actually drifted off to sleep. With Tierra now resting safely, time not waiting for anyone would continue, Night eventually traversing over to day...

~ Day 1 ~

Morning came, and as it did, the darkness itself was cast off by the ever true light of the Sun. This of course wouldn't reach Tierra, and because of what she went through last night, she rested a bit more, remaining in the sealed cavern. The sleep itself was quite pleasant, excluding the smell of fish, which really didn't bother her since she was sleep. A rude awakening awaited her though...

Sunlight cracked through the branches, fortunately it hadn't rained through the night and so Richard had slept well though sunrise. He'd left his scroll in the tent with her but he figured it couldn't be any earlier than ten, the sun was quite high after all. Honestly he would have liked to get a couple more hours, having been up so late fishing and having been tasked with looking after another person. Getting a potentially still drug-riddled woman out of the forest, especially a Grimm filled forest with captors following them, was going to be just... so much fun. Richard was always irritable and groggy upon awakening, this morning was no exception.

Dropping from the tree he stretched, cracking his neck left and right before both his arms both back and forward. Looking to the top of the underground cave, still full sealed. Without any real compassion Richard kicked down hard around the edge of the seal in order to awaken the girl.  A few cracks formed before a clump of dirt fell around the doorway, meeting the ground with a powerful smack. Immediately his senses were assaulted by the smell of fish escaping the hole, he had intended to have a big roast last night before bed... by the smell of things that wouldn't be happening anymore. Brows furrowing further Richard made his way to the river's edge, cupping up some water he used it to clean out his eyes.

In the light of the new day, if she hadn't before... the girl would probably notice the abnormalities of Richard's body. Outside the claws and completely unrelated to his faunus traits, Richard wasn't exactly a normal looking person. Standing at only four foot ten Richard was an incredibly short man, his face was poorly shaved and covered in stubble, but despite his height his arms were abnormally long. His voice was rather unfitting for his appearance, low and raspy like an older man. The cap on his head was some form of mangled dark green mix of a turban and a regular cap, hair poking out holes in the wrappings.

Crumbling earth coming down from above. The noise itself was enough to stir Tierra, but what ended up waking her abruptly wasn't the falling pieces of stone. It woke her up just enough to notice horrible stench that had developed over night due to the fish. Her face cringed literally a second before she pushed herself up from the floor, reaching the top of the Tent." OH MY!! ". Before she could actually finish, she brought her hand to her mouth and nose, attempting to block the smell but also recalling last night instructions. Being at the epicenter of it all, she quickly made her way out of the Tent, and then looked above where an opening had been made by the individual who saved her. It felt like if she held her breath any longer, she was going to lose it, so she spared no second in getting out of that stench filled cavern.

Tierra knees bent down before she pushed off the ground, launching herself up a bit just enough to grab onto the ledge and pull herself up. She crawled away from the hole, not because she couldn't walk, but because she was in such a rush to move away that she spent no time standing up. Once away, she pushed herself off the ground, trying to breath in as much clean air as possible." Oh god...oh god that was bad ". It took a moment, but once she brought herself to an eased state, she looked around to the river to see the individual. " It's you...So you didn't abandon me ". Words spoken in a low tone, not with the intention of being heard, though still capable of being heard. In that instant and only that instant was her smile so soft and sincere. A few seconds following it, she would perk the expression up, still being sincere but showing that she had a lot more energy at her disposal." You look like you've had a worse night than me, and that's saying something ". It was a light joke towards his overall appearance, though with the fish smell, she was not one in the position to joke.

"Hmm? You can stand then." Richard turned from the river, facing the girl. The smell of fish was quite overpowering, his nose briefly wrinkling at the proximity. "I prefer about another four hours but if I was to sleep all day you'd never get back, getting you back without encountering any Grimm would be ideal and the late hours are always worse. Especially for humans."

There was something about the look on her face which was... more than a little offsetting to Richard. A bit too happy to see him. He really wasn't used to it, someone being happy to see him. It was probably the happiest a person had ever been looking directly at him, save for his kid sister in the days before the fire but... even then she was quite a judgmental and serious person. It was certainly bizarre to see it from a stranger, the two didn't even know each other's names... not that Richard knew to introduce himself. With a yawn he rose from sitting by the river, now it would be made incredibly clear that there was a great difference in their heights.

"I think the best route to take would be back to the academy, that's where I came from. It's still quite the hike but it's closer and faster to get there than it is to the city. From there you'd be able to get cleaned up and probably see a doctor... though you seem to be quite a bit better. Airships leave the academy all the time, it'd be easy to get back." Richard wasn't beaming back to the woman... but he wasn't quite frowning as he had been initially. She seemed quiet enough that Richard could stand to put up with her. "Just need to pack up the tent and we can go, by the smell though I don't think we'll have anything for breakfast."

Tierra didn't know much about Grimm, but based on the nature of the beast she fought in the town, it just gave off that feel of something that would prowl even more at night than day. What really threw her off in his words was about the academy. There were very few instances where the academy was brought up in conversation by other individuals, and it wasn't until now where it actually sparked her interest. There were a few questions that came to her mind, some regarding the academy, and some regarding the individual before her. When he actually stood up, his height stood out even more which got her questioning how old he was. There were features that hinted at adult hood, but now knowing he was from some academy, along with his height compared to her got her thinking on the matter. There were far more important things at hand, but it just sat on her mind.

There was no disagreement with the plan, though she believed that she would leave the gathering of the tent to him, not wanting to go back down and get it herself." Alright I gotcha...Im not really hungry right now anyways". The smell of the fish completely killed it for her for the moment. Following a little moment of silence, Tierra spoke up. " So this Academy, is it like a high school kind of deal ? I don't really know about it but others have brought it up in conversation like it's a big thing around here ". The first of many questions, one that she hoped would also answer the question about his age that she have yet to ask. Depending on how he answered, she would follow up with a different string of questions. It had not dawned on her yet that she skipped over the basic of a proper encounter, which was an introduction. Her mind made little odd connections on little things and because of these little odd connections, questions came out of the woodwork.

"More like a college or university. I haven't been forced to sit though maths or the like, it primarily teaches people about hunting and aids them in honing their skills. There are classes about Grimm themselves, areas and people to practice with, as well as an expansive library which is more useful than any of the staff. Now, answer for answers, who are you and why are people tracking you? That's probably more important now than me explaining the school to you." It was an unfair exchange of information, yes, but Richard wasn't particularly known for being a fair person. He'd protected this girl for a good few hours and used his own dust in order to do it, it didn't come cheap even if it was a lower grade of the stuff.

He didn't hide his furrowed brow nor did he make any real attempt to make himself more presentable to her, but if she would pause for much to long Richard would move on. he didn't have time nor the will to extract information from her. Besides, knowing it could lead him to helping her again and he didn't particularly have time for that. After she had explained her situation, gone silent, or refused Richard would say, "Regardless of any of that, do you feel like you can walk? I can't carry you and my equipment so you need to be ready and able to walk a number of miles. Stopping for rests in the forest is dangerous even in the day."

Walking past her toward the imbedded tent he now realised how much harder it would be to both retrieve his equipment and put it away, at least three times that of it being on the surface level. His frown deepened, ideally the girl would offer to help but he had his doubts. She was a liability and a burden, little more, but he was beginning to realise and remember he could probably use this as leverage. She had to have some kind of money or something like food right?... Random homeless women didn't end up drugged and floating down a river did they? Sinking into the hole he'd made he began to dismantle the tent, keeping his ears open for further questions or noises from the girl.

The answer Tierra acquired was not one she was expecting. A college where you're taught about Grimm, how to combat them, as well as hone ones general skills. On top of this, with it being an university level of education, it would mean that either the person before her was very good at what he did, in which granted him early access to it at a young age...or the person before her wasn't as young as his height would portray him to be. This led to a few odd thoughts, but unlike the more recent ones, she would push them to the back of her mind for now. It wasn't difficult definitely with the individual before her seeking answers from her now. Tierra's expression didn't shift drastically, but there was a noticeable change in energy. Her mind recalled the instance she woke up in the cage, and the words spoken by one of the individuals regarding her brothers wanting to have the satisfaction.

" You're right...My name is Tierra Oscuro. I don't have much history here, but else where I use to associate with unsavory characters. My guess is that the people tracking me are those hired by those unsavory characters. The reason why is probably because I left them...". She put it as simply as she could, hoping that the answer itself would suffice, not wanting to go into a deep explanation regarding her past. " I did nothing criminal to warrant this though ". She wanted to make it clear to him that she wasn't some escaped criminal evading the law. She looked slightly down in his direction after she explained herself kinda, taking in his following words as a moment to move away from the reasons for all this. " Yea I can walk now. I don't feel 100%, but walking I can definitely do ".  She watched him go into the stench filled hole to gather his stuff. Tierra felt bad not offering to help, but the smell itself was just so horrible to her. It was then that she established in her mind that she would pay him back somehow for this. " Whats your name if you don't mind me asking ? ".

"Richard." The short man grunted from bellow, having packed everything into his rucksack save for the tent itself. With a squeeze and a turn the telescopic poles would shrink down, very nearly collapsing the roof on Richard due to the small space. The tent's roof was quickly folded down, shrunken poles packaged within, he then bundled the entirety of it within the ground sheet. A long rope was weaved around it, when pulled it tight the groundsheet became a more typical sack like bag. He then attached the bag itself to the top of the rucksack, threading the rope around a buckle and tying it. He decided it would be best to abandon the bucket full of fish, after all the smell was making his eyes water and the dead weight wouldn't be appreciated.

While he had been doing this the short man had also been taking mental notes of what the girl said. It sounded like some kind of gangster or mob story, in which once you entered the association getting out wasn't quite so easy, regardless of how vital to the operation she was. Then again, this was simply Richard's assumptions about the girl's past. He had yet to form a more concrete theory... not that he planned to. In his eyes this Tierra would return the favour and, ideally, they'd never end up seeing each other again. If she had the money to move away from there, odds are she was sitting on some kind of financial worth. It didn't particularly matter to Richard but hey, if it would buy him food.

Clawing his way out of the hole like a zombie from it's tomb, heavy rucksack on his back, Richard once again locked eyes with the girl. She claimed she could walk and she certainly looked better... well, Richard had only seen her having almost drowned and been drugged, but that was irrelevant. If she said she could walk Richard was willing to accept that she could walk, only time would tell if she knew her body well enough. Drawing his scroll he checked his compass, he believed he knew the approximate route but just wanted to be sure.

"If we follow the river north, upstream, we should find our way to the path. From there we take a right and it leads to the academy... but we'll have to follow the water for a while. I have no idea where you fell in but odds are it was well before the midway point of this journey. Keep your eyes open and try to distract yourself from feeling negative emotions... if you have to talk to me to do that so be it." And without another word Richard began to walk, his pace wasn't too fast but that was due to a mix of the weight and not wanting to outpace the girl too much.

Richard, a name not complex in the least which was a plus in her mind. No last name was given, which didn't bother her since she at least had something in which to call him. While she understood the instructions given, she mentally questioned what exactly constituted as negative, and how much of it would bring trouble their way. While being in the company of someone who saved her kept her good, she still held malice towards those who intended to make a move on her, those who drugged her and even to this moment held claim to her possessions. Were these feelings to be buried deep down, and if so then exactly how ? While Tierra was very tamed now, it generally wasn't the case every other day, and so the idea of providing mental distraction, definitely when thinking about providing mental distraction was not so easy to her. Still she would try her best at this. She could feel her strength gradually returning, but she was still not fully capable of holding her own.

She did find it nice that he offered himself as focus for the distraction, of which she would take full advantage of." I don't know too much...actually I don't know anything about Grimm. I wasn't aware that there was an Academy for it though...it sounds strange, but a place where you can improve on your fighting is a good place to me ". Her words was low, but still audible to Richard. Her eyes lowered a little bit as another question came to her mind upon finishing the sentence." What..what does it take to be able to attend that academy ? Im not very great with studying, and dont really have too much of an academic history backing me...Hmmm ". She pondered on the positive traits that she possessed, taking a good second to follow up on her words." Well after this I'll be able to add Wilderness Survival skills to my set ". the tone itself would indicate a joking nature.

"There are a number of ways in, recommendations from fully fledged hunters do go a long way. Otherwise coming from one of the many huntings schools would help... however, proof of worth and skill such as say practice with aura and weapons would go a long way also. They are willing to test people who lack qualifications and recommendations, long as you've not got a known criminal history or the like." Richard rather simply responded, continuing onward. With an almost smirk at her attempt in humour he responded, "Swimming to, didn't even look like you were trying."

Richard, not stopping for a second in his movement, had a strange thought cross his mind. It would tell him a lot more about the woman than this idle chit chat, "Oh wait, do you even know about aura? Or semblance? It's entirely possible that you don't. It's typically a pretty big prerequisite for getting in, that and having decent enough overall physical strength or mastery of dust or some combination of the two. Really if you have that and aura qualifications don't matter so much."

Richard, though pacing forward, once again drew his eyes over the girl. She didn't look... unhealthy to say the least. Her arms weren't small or frail looking, he'd certainly seen less strong people at the academy. If her aura was unlocked then maybe she would fit in fine... though losing and getting drugged wasn't the best of signs.

Tierra reflected on her potential of getting into such an academy as they traveled, and as Richard spoke, she thought about how well the options applied to her in the form of little chibi images. She didn't know any actual full fledged hunters, and those even remotely close were those who were behind this whole incident, depicted by a Chibi version of herself in the presence of her brothers asking for a recommendation, only to result in the both of them ganging up on her. The thought itself was troubling and immediately X'ed out as a possibility. What ended up worrying her even more than that was the idea of not being accepted due to a criminal history. She had never been caught nor documented by the authorities, but she had her fair share of criminal activity enough to know that if known, it would be impossible for her to even be considered. It was actually a bit depressing when she actually thought about it, though that thought was immediately interrupted with Richard's words about her ability to swim.

Immediately before dreadful feelings from her negative past could overtake her, sincere embarrassment washed over her as a reaction to his words, her cheeks puffing out like some kind of puffer fish. Her eyes darted towards him as she crossed her arms. Much like him, she continued moving, maintaining a pace that allowed her to remain a comfortable distance to him. In mere moments following the teasing of her ability to swim, He followed up with a question that caused her to lose the embarrassed pouting look for a genuine lost one. " Aura I don't really know too much about in detail. Semblance though is like an Individual's super power...that too wasn't explained in too much detail too. I can fight though so maybe that's my saving grace ? I didn't errmmmmm...have a great teacher when I was brought up ".

"I mean... you had a teacher at least. That's better than a lot of them, kids do buy their way in but honestly they're kind of trash." He sighed slightly, cracking his wrist a bit. He had noticed just as she was recovering from going red in the face. It was... strange, he had honestly more expected her to get mad at his joke. On the rare occasion he saw fit to make them people typically did. "If you really wanted me to I could just unlock it now. It's not all that difficult. Hit your body with my aura, natural response of unlocking and producing your own. Nothing that serious."

He yawned a little, continuing forward. Honestly it was a bit tedious, but he had nothing else to really do so he supposed they could talk about it as they walked. Wasn't too much of a strain on his mind. "Semblance is like... a more physical manifestation of one's aura. More physical cause it isn't always purely physical like increased muscles or throwing around some element, it could be like teleporting or becoming invisible which are less so. You pay for it in aura, reducing how much you have. Using up your semblance will make you weaker in some way or another, it depends on the person. Aura is also what keep a person vitalised and able to say... be hit my a sword and not loose an arm at the first slash. Or be able to take that blow from an Ursa and keep fighting. So it is pretty important."

Following the river, birds letting loose their morning songs, it was... peaceful. Not earilly quiet or anything, just relatively peaceful. "Fighting good's the only real prerequisite to get in I guess? I mean, do you have experience with weapons?"

Tierra, not really knowing if her Aura was already unlocked loved the idea of Richard unlocking it for her. The thought remained there up to the point when Richard ended his explanation about Semblance and Aura. Her eyes closed for a moment as she thought about his words, now gaining a bit of a better understanding about the subject itself. From what that she put together that Aura was a source for ones semblance, which meant in order to use the abilities, the Aura had to have been unlocked. Her eyes opened a bit before looking to her hands, recalling the instances when she was in her corrupted Juggernaut form, her semblance.  She was a little disappointed now, but still in a good mood despite that bad realization. Things seemed to have taken a turn for a more positive light since last night, going from being captured and running for her life to a peaceful stroll in the forest. On top of this, it felt like she was getting lessons from the person who saved her life, so she couldn't help but feel good.

His question caused her to reflect on past battles and majority of them were fought with her fists. It wasn't until recently that she had obtained her Glock. " I have a little bit of experience with weapons. The one I used more recently was a little firearms. I've gotten quite okay with my aim, but Im no marksman, so I've come to try not to rely entirely on the weapon ". She explained before thinking about her current situation once again. Her eyes lowered, momentarily getting depressed at the thought of not only losing her stuff to those guys, but how weak they made her feel both physically and emotionally. " Im going to get my stuff back somehow though, but even more so than that, Im going to make them regret everything...". She wasn't there yet, but slowly she felt her strength come back to her.
