A quiet stroll,for now(open)

Ruben walked along a path through the forest. He was just taking a stroll through the forest. He was bored at the time and decided to actually get up and do something. Ruben was walking through the forest with his hands in his pocket and a scarf around his neck for some weird reason. Ruben was a little bit worried about this though. He heard of multiple sightings of grimm in the forest. He didn't want another encounter with any more grimm. He still has the scratches and bites from last time. Ruben pulled his hand out of his pocket and looked at his wrist. He hid the marks from everyone in the academy but he still has the feeling that somebody knows about the mark. Ruben looked up from the mark to see a tree right in front of his face. Good thing he stopped or he would've ran right into it. He stepped back onto the path and started walking again. He really has no idea where he is even going anymore. He just wanted to clear his head. Ruben took out his pistol. He just heard some rustling from the bushes. Ruben turned towards the source of the noise, his finger millimeters away from pulling the trigger. Ruben's hand shook slightly as he prepared for an attack. He was about to fire when a small squirrel came out from the bushes. Ruben put his pistol away and just walked away while shaking his head. Why was he so paranoid. After one simple attack from a grimm,he has turned him into a crazy person. He really needs to clear his head.

First silence, silence of mind and of sound. Then, fear? Just a tinge, but they felt it, they wanted it, they wanted to snuff it out. The biggest of the three grimm let out a low growl and rapidly clawed its way through the underbrush on land, quite noisy, but the creature didn't care. It wanted to feed. It leaped out of the brush as soon as it saw a form, Ruben. It lowered the bony plate on it's head and rocketed towards its target with every ounce of strength it had launched itself with.  The two smaller siblings felt it as well, but they clawed their way into the earth. They wanted to bide their time, wait for their much larger brother to weaken their meal before they strike. They crawled and dug, scratched and clawed and then no more. They were still, feeling vibrations in the earth and waiting for combat to heat up before they struck.

After walking around for a while, Gabe was startled to hear... something.  It sounded sort of like a growl, but not the usual "got too close to an abused dog" type of growl.  Interested, he regretfully threw away his half eaten hot dog, and sprinted in the direction of the sound.  There it was. Or there they were, actually.  It seems like his professor was getting a little bit roughed up by some sort of gross looking creature.  He dialed his weapon locker, the thing slammed next to him and revealed Gabe to both of them, and revealed his semblance. A pitch black tendril appeared where his left arm was supposed to be, and it lifted up gross little demon thing by the leg before bludgeoning it twice with the brass knuckle part of his weapon.

"Come on, teach.  You can't handle this thing?"

Two Brass Knuckle Punches: 40 Damage if hit.

Ruben looked at his student as he swung at the creep aiming at him. Ruben ducked down just in case the weapon could accidentally hits him or it misses. Ruben grabbed the tail of the creep attacking him and slammed it down on the ground before whipping out his pistol and shooting the creature in the chest."What makes you think I can't take this thing?"Ruben said as he charging up his semblance. "I hope this thing likes 4000 volts of pure death inside its chest,"Ruben said jokingly as he forces his hand onto the chest of the creep.  Ruben jumped away from the creep to put some distance between him and the creep before facing his student and saying,"Be careful,there might be more than one.Creeps always travel in packs so there might be more than one."Ruben than took aim at the creep he just attacked and loaded his gun. It is time to fight,and Ruben is about to get some revenge against the creatures of darkness. It is time for some vengeance.

Battle stats:

The largest creep of the group was completely caught out in the open and was outnumbered without the aid of it's brothers. The creature was forced to endure every hit that came it's way before it finally wriggled free, offhandedly biting the tendril that held it with it's steel-trap jaws before leaping back into the brush and quietly crawling back, off the beaten trail.

The two creep beneath the earth felt a new presence in the soil but it seemed nullified soon by the boys confidence. The angry vengeful thoughts felt by their original target however, proved too exciting it would seem, as in almost coordinated harmony, they broke from the dirt, swiping at Ruben from two separate angles. They did not run, but stayed close by one another in the hopes that they could be protected by the other. All the while, the largest of the group continued to circle in the brush, scanning for a chance to strike again.

"Oh. That's gonna be a problem." The pain from the bite wasn't too big of a deal, but he reminded himself to be cautious of the threat he just let get away.
He turned to Ruben to check up on him. "So how about th- oh." The two creeps didn't really startle or surprise him, but for some reason, he didn't quite expect them to show up yet. He was able to catch one by the throat with his tendril, but he wasn't quite able to stop the other one, only being able to yell out where the other one was coming from. His tendril pushed the caught creep (Creep B) against a tree by it's neck, allowing Gabe to quickly stab it twice in it's body, preparing to move the thing in the way of any potential danger. One of the creeps was missing, and he would much rather let a creep get hurt than himself.

Ruben looked as his student keep the other creep from damaging him. Ruben turned around to the other creep and grabbed it by the neck and used his semblance to shock it. He threw the crep away from him and grabbed both his pistol. He charged up his semblance and shocked the creep Gabe was attacking by firing a bolt at him. He then jumped to a tree and hid in some shrubbery and calmed himself. He needs to remember to stay calm in order to kill any type of grimm. Ruben loaded his pistol and crawled over to Gabe."I am not going to die Gabe,what makes you think that is going to happen?" Ruben said as he checked the ammo in his pistol and placed his pistol against the creep's neck."I am the teacher of weapon making,but that doesn't mean I can't fight for myself."Ruben said to Gabe as he slowly moved his finger to the trigger of his gun. Ready to fire but not yet. Ruben prepared to fire his pistol if the creep even moved an inch.

Battle Stats:

The creep that Gabe was grappling was shocked and took some satisfaction even as it took damage as the electrical current went through it into Gabe's tendril. The creep that was in the bushes now took advantage of the focus on its brothers to make an attack from behind Gabe's back, literally. The creep jumps onto Gabe's back and digs its claws into Gabe's shoulders raking back and forth repeatedly. The one in Gabe's grasp recovers and takes this moment to break free and latch onto Ruben, freeing up the one Ruben was watching to claw its way into the earth and out of sight. Meanwhile, the creep on Gabe's back held fast and absolutely refused to be moved, wrapping its tail around his chest as it clawed away.

Doing his best to fight through the pain, Gabe took his machete the the creep on his back, slashing, stabbing and carving at it's tail.  "Why the hell did you shock me, you moron?  I'm trying to help you, and now this monster is on my back, trying to make it look like ground beef!"  As he continued to stab at the creep's tail, he turned to the thing and said, "And YOU aren't helping either! I didn't ask for this!"  At the time, yelling at an unfeeling grimm seemed like a good idea, but it seemed to be wasted effort. "If you don't do something, we're gonna die! Do you know that? Do you realize that we are going to DIE?"

Ruben grabbed the creep before it had the chance to latch onto him,taking his pistol and putting it to the side of its head. He fired it directly into the creep's head and shocked it with his semblance before throwing it throwing it away. Ruben started to get up but suddenly felt weak. He was using his semblance too much. Ruben grabbed his head and looked over to Gabe trying to stab the creep with his machete. Ruben ran over,ignoring what Gabe said,and grabbed the creep's tail. Ruben ripped the creep's tail away from Gabe's chest and started swinging it around like a mad man. Ruben then threw the creep into a tree far away from the two. Ruben fell to his knees,feeling drained of his energy. Ruben started to hallucinate from his aura being drained. Ruben coughed and instead of just bacteria,Ruben coughed up sparks. Ruben stood up and looked over to Gabe."What are we supposed to do about the creeps,"Ruben asked.

Battle Stats:

Given that the creep had been latched onto Gabe, it didn't really have options in the way of defending itself. It was stabbed, sliced, cut and eventually thrown into a tree. Now, this creep wasn't the smartest on Remnant, and creeps were known for being inherently dumb anyways. Despite all that, this creep had slowly begun to learn something, when it attacked the young boy in black it ended up getting hurt a lot worse that when it attacked the dumb, older guy. In a few bark-like growls it communicated this to its brethren, and decided a change would need to be made.

As if on cue, the creep tossed away by Ruben had righted itself, and slid out of the trajectory of the shot he'd fired with more luck than purpose, and was now moving around Ruben, almost completely ignoring Gabe for now. It growled, it barked, and in an instant all was chaos. The grimm beneath the earth jumped out and swiped at Ruben from behind him, just the same, the creep in the trees pounced from up high. The moment that the creep on the ground saw this, it charged forward as well.

Free from the creep on his back, Gabe turned to face the monsters yet again only to witness all three of the creeps attacking his professor at the same time. In a panic, he sprinted at one of the creeps, swinging his machete brutally at one of the weaker ones, (Creep A) in an attempt to save his professor's life. To be fair, the professor did shock him while he was fighting one of the creeps, so he only stabbed the second one, (Creep B) after the thing attacked the professor. He felt no need to apologize, getting shocked was one of the worst pains to deal with.

Ruben grabbed one of the creeps(creep c)but got rammed by one of the other creeps(creep b)."I know you are faster than that Gabe,I can tell that you let that creep hit me because you are still angry about the shock that accidentally happened when I used my semblance,"Ruben said to Gabe as he shocked both creep's with his semblance before dropping creep c to the ground. Ruben shot the creep in the head before putting his foot down on its back to stop it from moving. Ruben reloaded his pistol and looked at Gabe."If you want an apology,you might need to wait until after the battle ends with these creeps,"Ruben said to his student with the most stern and serious voice he can muster,which to be fair,sounds a little scary. He looked down at the creep and put his gun to its head."Now,if you want to live,you might want to run,crawl,or dig away now," Ruben said to the creep. It wouldn't get through to the dumb thing, but Ruben just wanted to sound intimidating.
