With the pin locking in place, Averia finished changing the bandage on her left thigh and she stood, dusting her shorts in the process. She pressed a button on her belt and they snapped into two from the middle, each piece transforming into her golden desert eagle pistols. "Bullets check, grip check, buttons check. Hm hm hm check check check. M'kay all good. Off to hunt." She spun them on her hands before pressing a button and they transformed back to their travel belt mode.

Averia walked through the forest in search of grimms to kill. She was on a rush, on a rampage to kill in order to improve her skills. These past few days were a continuous hunting spree and she loved every minute of it. For some reason she felt sweet satisfaction when killing grimms. Perhaps it's her inner sadistic side showing. Still, it's a win-win situation for her and people of Bellmuse. She had something to do while bored, and the more grimms she kills, the less danger for the people.

But never mind that, what mattered right now was her present situation.

"Come out, grimmy. Promise I dont bite. I shoot." Averia smiled as she took out a piece of gum from her pocket and popped one on her mouth.

Lloyd was still sleeping soundly this morning. A long night tinkering with his things again exhausted him into sleep again as usual. Although he normally wakes up by himself, this time a voice woke him up, calling his name. "...Lloyd...Lloyd...wake up...now..." The voice was faint, like a whisper, but it was enough to wake Lloyd up since he was supposed to be alone in his room. As he looked around, no one was there. It was only him, his weapon and his coat. Dismissing the voice as his imagination, Lloyd took his Scroll and looked at the recent news. Apparently, a bunch of Creeps were seen running around in the Finnek Woods and those seemed bigger than usual according to reports.

Without second thoughts, Lloyd changed clothes, put on his coat, picked his lance and headed toward the small hangar at the gate of the school where his bike was. He climbed on it and headed towards the zone of the last sighting. Lloyd had a bad feeling about this today and felt like he had to hurry up and find those Grimms, before they would find anyone unable to fight them. After a while and now closer to the area he was looking for, Lloyd hid his bike among bushes and continued his way on foot while keeping an eye out for anything that would be suspicious. His lance was drawn and he was ready to fight, but felt uneasy all of a sudden. "Why do I feel like nothing will go according to plan today? Man, I don't like this feeling at all..."

Two powerful lizard like beings raced through the forest, sharp jaws snarling and jabbering to each other. Powerful legs pounded at the speed of a train, tearing over roots and braking branches. These two were rather large as normal creeps went, lacking arms like all others of their kind of course, they stood in their stooped state at around a meter and a half tall.

They were out for blood alike any other day, but that of a specific breed of the souled ones. The blood of mankind, the blood they were drawn to most of all. They did it for the thrill.

Their jaws opened wide, marinating their momentum as they caught sight of one from behind. A human, not too big a one for that matter. Long blonde hair perfect to trample. Clear skin to slash into. The two grimm split off from their path, using the trees as cover as they approached the woman. With this pincer like formation they struck, the left bursting from the undergrowth first and attempting to headbut the girl's side at an incredible speed. As it darted for the bushes the second shot out, jaws wide. It aimed a gnarly chomp for the girl's side, looking to tear a good hole at lung level. This beast however did not try to hide like it's brother. Instead it attempted to size up the girl, whether it had missed or not; growling and screeching loudly.

Averia was popping her gum while walking when her ears picked up the faint crunch of fallen leaves from nearby. She stopped on her tracks and turned her head towards the source. Her left hand reached for her golden guns but before she could press the button to take them out of travel mode, a Creep sprang forward to her side. It wasn't too big for her to take seriously but it did catch her by surprise... as usual.

When the grimm was inches from her, Averia placed a hand on its head and pressed down, using it as leverage to flip herself up over the grimm. Just then another beast lunged towards her this time with jaws wide open. Still in the air over the first creep, she stepped on its head and used it to twist her body and deliver a powerful kick to the side of the second creeps head. The force would push her back as well gaining a bit of distance from the two.

Averia landed on the ground a little roughly but managed to regain her bearing. With a breathing room, she was finally able to transform her golden machine pistols, aimed it at the first creep and hold the trigger to fire a barrage of bullets.

All of a sudden, gun shots were heard across the woods and Lloyd had no problem to follow the sound as it was coming right in front of him. He started to sprint in said direction with his eyes peeled for friends and foes alike as another Huntsman or Huntress was already there, unless Grimms now used guns. Lloyd finally saw the two Creeps from the report attacking a lone Huntress. It seemed like they tried to sneak up on her but missed their chance.

Lloyd decided to take a chance at the opening the girl created and Repelled himself toward the first Creep to gain momentum and thrust his lance into it, also unfolding the full length of his weapon in order to maybe launch the Grimm further away. He then rotated his swing in order to swing downward against the second beast and slam it to the ground. He would then step back in order to create a gap between himself and the Grimms, but staying in between them and the girl.

He gave her a quick look from over his shoulder before staring back at the foes. "I hope you do not mind me helping you out Milady, I would not want you to deal with them alone. Lloyd Vanheim, at your service. May I suggest that you keep me in between of you and our common enemy? Like this you may use me as a cover, or guardian. Personally, I think it would be best for us, seeing as you possess a ranged weapon. So, how about it Milady, care to work together for this hunt?" Lloyd looked back at her once more with a smile as he took a more defensive stance, prepared to counter their enemies' assault.

The first beast zigzagged wildly, both shocked and surprised by the woman's technique as well as the sudden arrival of a man wielding a rather large and pointy stick. The beast, out of sheer panic, managed to successfully avoid all the blows that came it's way and run far into the undergrowth... the same could not be said for it's brother. The woman's initial kick had caught it's jaw and staggered it, halting it's screeching. It was then met with a powerful thwack to it's spine, crushing it to the ground briefly before it sprang to it's feet.

Enraged, the beast didn't give the humans time to communicate. Zigzagging at the speed of a train it feinted passed the male and pounced, both it's powerful clawed feet raised and primed to stab the female in the belly. A drop kick of sorts.

The second beast did not however stand idle, running another loop, it approached the human party from behind; it's jaw wide. Without even a second thought it lowered it's powerful cranium and aimed a glancing hit for the female's left hand side, just as it's brother soared toward the pair of her. Having completed it's run, hitting him or not, it planned to keep the male between the girl and it. That way her bullets could potentially strike him instead. To do such it circled around in front of him, roaring to gain his attention.

Averia blinked as another hunter came to her 'rescue', not that she needed one anyway. This guy took it upon himself to position right in between her and the grimm, pose for dramatic effect and say some cool lines such as using him as cover. He might have not realized he was blocking her view in the process and made it harder for her to aim since he was in the way. Averia chuckled at his failed attempt to make a heroic entrance.

"Mmkay. Why not~ An extra hand to make things easier," she said lightheartedly. The guy looked nice. As in physically nice~ It's not like she can say no to someone like that.

Just then she noticed Creep 2 zigzagging its way past the guy and towards her, leaping high up in the air for a drop kick. Now Averia understood why these things were somewhat in the bottom of the food chain. They were dumb.  She dropped one gun and waited for its descent to which she would simply side step the attack. At the right moment before the grimm could touch down though, she used her free hand to grab its neck and slam it to the ground on its back. She pushed the barrel of her other golden gun inside its mouth and pressed the trigger to fire bullets through its brain.

From her side however was another attack from the other grim and her position prevented her from having the time to defend herself. She glanced at her 'partner' and gave him the you-know-I-could-use-some-help-right-about-now look.

Lloyd blank as the second Creep past by him without caring and went for the girl with the other circling around to avoid him completely. "Shit, great job "Guardian", you failed miserably. Not just your mouth and stop acting fancy and kill those beast!" At least, the girl seemed pretty strong, beating the Grimm like it was nobody's business, making Lloyd feel less bad about it.

He tried to keep an eye out for the Creep that went full circle and as it went for the girl, that was clearly needing his help in the position she was in right now, Lloyd simply Repelled himself backward directly toward the first Creep at high speed and swung his lance on the side in order to hit him even if it was about to sidestep. Hitting it or not, Lloyd would activate his Semblance right under the same Creep in order to launch it in the air before placing himself right under the beast at which he would point his lance before extending it at it's 10 feet length directly at the Grimm right before it would reach the ground.

Lloyd took a quick moment during that to apologize to his fellow Hunter. "Sorry for that, I should have been more careful."

While these creatures were indeed very dumb, they compensated for their lack of intelligence with an amazing combination of speed and brawn. Yes the injured creep had missed it's pounce, being forced to the ground with a mighty thud... but this was a beast who's body consisted mainly of large powerful legs and gnarly jaws.

As an armed hand came down to blast into it's open mouth it bashed it's snout off the weapon, tilting it's head as the bullets missed it by centimetres and flew toward the male human. It's powerful jaws then snapped shut, aimed to rend into her exposed arm and lock shut, as it jumped to it's feet with all it's might, running straight for a tree. Whether it bit her successfully or not mattered little, her headlock would make escape difficult without injury.

With the girl possibly stuck at it's head it raced passed a tree, scraping it's back along it in an attempt to knock her off; releasing it's open jaw. It then turned and growled at the possibly injured woman, ready for her next assault.

The fellow beast ground to a halt as the man launched toward him, narrowly ducking the initial slash but being launched into the air by his following attack. As the man's lance flew up toward it the beast's snout was grazed, the white bone cracking. It let out a screech in anger and pain, while the boy attempted to communicate with the woman it came down like a rock; the boys extended pole above it and to the right. The beast attempted to bodyslam the male with all of it's might.

"Sorry for that, I should have been more careful."

Averia gave a small smile as she tore her eyes away from him. "Thanks." Wow, will you look at that, she did say the forbidden word for once. Although she herself, could use some care with her own hunt, for the next thing she knew, the grimm struggled against her grip and attempted to bite her forearm. She had only split seconds to pull away and form a thin layer of ice on it before she felt fangs tear through the layer and managed to make a gash on her arm. She winced at the pain that coursed through.

"Die already," Averia grumbled, her eyes glowing a brilliant blue. Her free hand swiped the other golden gun on the ground and she turned around just as quickly, raising both guns and held the trigger, the full-automatic function of her guns allowing for a rain of bullets towards the growling Creep.

Noting the position of the guy from the corner of her eyes, she would proceed to reload her guns quickly and fire at the Creep above him that was attempting the body slam.

As Lloyd missed a direct hit at the falling Grimm by a mere centimeter, he let out a "tsk" as he would have loved impaling the beast. As the bear was getting closer with his attack, Lloyd noticed with the corner of his eye that stray bullets were coming his way and that with the Grimm this close, an evasive maneuver wasn't possible to dodge them. Trying his best to get the right angle, Lloyd Repelled the bullets towards the Creep, thus avoiding a full blown friendly fire and managing an attack at the same time.

Seeing as his partner then tried to help by firing at the Creep that was nearly bodyslaming him, Lloyd had no other choice but Repel the beast's attack to force it a bit longer above ground so that her attack wouldn't be in vain. Although it gave the chance for her to hit the Creep at full force, it would leave it in a bad spot. "Well, I can take an attack or two for a good cause, can I?" Lloyd still tried to get out of the Creep's way by letting himself fall on his back on the ground and rolling away. Maybe it'll work, no way to know without trying right?

A bullet burst through the falling grimm's chest, injuring it as it fell down toward a burst of energy that knocked it back up. The beast lurched and shuddered as it's entire falling mass crumpled. The block then simply acted as a rather large launch pad for the grimm... a rather crude and painful Launchpad.

The more brave of the two grimm however, the one who had bitten the girl, was not doing so well. It would seem the girl had managed to reach for her gun before the beast could drag her too far off. Hearing the human speak with such confidence the beast let out a final surprise snap, opening and shutting it's jaws around the girl's hand incredibly quickly. Just as it's attempted snap concluded the beast was slain. A single bullet rocketed through it's brain. It's jaws swung open with a squeal, body going limp as it began to turn to ashes.

The first grimm was sent spiralling into the sky, body set off kilter by the initial deflected bullet. As such the angle and spin on it's movements caused it's trajectory to fall out of line with where the female human had initially anticipated. The beast would have been sent plunging back down toward the duo were it not for the tree branches in it's path. Taking advantage of it's powerful legs the creep quickly latched onto one and clambered up into the branches, quickly getting out of the humans lign of sight and into the upper canopy.

Creeps were not incredibly intelligent. They were most certainly the dunces of the grimm. However, having heard the dying screams of it's brethren this beast was unsure of itself. This simple spark of fear drove what little intelligence the beast held. It ran rampant above the treetops, sending birds scattering in every way imaginable to draw the human's interest. With that done the beast decided to drop down randomly, if it were to stop to think the humans would have been able to trace it's location.

It landed a good two meters behind Lloyd, falling without growling nor screaming. Immediately after land the beast leapt forth, head first, attempting to smash the male to the ground with it's hard head.

Averia watched silently as the Creep managed to grab a hold of the tree branches and use that to scamper away. From the motion of the trees and scattering of the birds, the grimm was still around, waiting for the perfect time to strike. For a split as in tinnie tiny bit of a moment there Averia was glad she had someone with her. They can watch each other's blind side in a situation like this.

She turned to the person named Loki. Or was it Logan? She couldn't quite remember but she faced the guy and walked towards him, planning to position behind him when out of the blue, the grimm appeared. Averia froze for a moment, thoughts racing through her head as she had only seconds to decide. She was still a little far from the guy so she couldn't just kick the grimm away. Should I let him take care of it? Should I fire? I can't, he's on the way. What? Make an ice wall in between them? But what if he turns around and slams his face against it? Wouldn't want to put a scratch on that pretty face~ Focus woman!

As the grimm launched towards him, Averia waved a hand, producing a thin wall of ice in between the two. It was hard enough to soften the grimm's motion but soft enough so that the grimm broke through. This way the wall didn't get in the way if the man decided to use his lance to strike the foe.

"Lawrence, I'm taking the air," An ice pillar shot underneath her, sending her up in the air as she aimed her guns down on the grimm below. She had a clear shot from above. Just hopefully the man heard her warning and wasn't stupid enough to get shot. Or use that pushing thing he did to 'curve' her bullets if necessary. She held the trigger and showered bullets on the grimm. As she descended, she stepped on the pillar and pushed herself to the right to which she landed on a low branch then dropped down on to the ground. With a new position she was able to reload her guns fired at the grimm's legs, aiming to incapacitate it then dashed around towards its back to fire at its behind.

After he rolled around to be sure to avoid the Grimm altogether if his Repel was to fail, Lloyd quickly stood up in order to try to keep track of the Creep as it fled. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to as it jumped in the trees to hide. He brushed the dust off of his coat as he looked toward his partner, seeing the last moments of the other beast with her walking toward him. It seemed like she was way more capable than he was, making him feel like he wasted a lot of his time while she grew quickly strong. He wasn't sure for how long she has been training to become a Huntress, but it was clear to him that she had way more determination than him on that matter. After all, Lloyd wasn't even sure if he would be able to become a full fledged Huntsman one day...

After a short moment, Lloyd heard a sound coming from behind him right before the girl shouted a name, not his though. He wondered for a moment but realized that she was probably talking to him but had forgotten his name. He didn't mind really, they were in the middle of a fight. He nodded to her quickly as he was turning around. "Alright, I'll keep the ground." Lloyd lost for a moment his usual speech pattern he has around girls, probably since he was more bothered with the Creep than being seen as a gentleman right now.

He faced the ice wall with surprise with the Creep on the other side as the girl soared above and shot a raining barrage of bullets at the Grimm. The wall seemed strong enough to slow down the Creep, but Lloyd didn't take a change and trusted his lance forward as the wall shattered and right after the hit, extended its length in order to pierce through the Grimm, trying to finish it off. If the Creep would survive, Lloyd would stand his ground and attack once more after... but, it seemed like it was nearly over...

A lance thrust into the grimm, directly in the center of it's bonny skull. For a moment it thought it was fine, bullets scratching it's side. Things were fine... things were fine... it thought that until it pulled off the lance and found it's head didn't feel quite right.

The creep squealed in pain, stumbling aimlessly around the hunters. It grunted and growled, attempting to retain what little strength it had and appear intimidating for it's final moments... it fell short however. The beast was dragging it's head far too close to the ground to appear anymore than an old bipedal dog on it's last legs, throwing a temper-tantrum as it's body began to fail it.

Of course the eyes were the first to go, it's vision was reduced to that of a blurred world as it staggered aimlessly. It's hearing followed, alongside the feeling in it's wounds. The numb creep struggled in it's own personal bubble of silence, eventually it's body began to fade from existence. As the black flakes began to fly from it's body it collapsed at the very spot it's brother had lay, not five minutes ago. With a final creak of it's voice the creep was gone, it's head separated from it's neck and then all from all as it turned to ash.

Averia closed her eyes and gave a soft sigh as the last of the creep collapsed to the ground. She returned her guns back to their travel belt mode and dusted her hands, making her way to the guy who had delivered the final blow. Once she reached him, she folded her arms beneath her chest and tilted her head to the side as she ran her eyes throughout his appearance, noting his two-tone hair colour. She chuckled and gave a lazy shrugged.

"Not bad, Loen. I could've handled those myself, but your help is appreciated anyway. Saved me some time. Goodbye now."

She turned around and yawned, sliding her hands inside her pockets as she walked back to the forest to continue hunting. It was then it occurred to her that she hadn't given out her name to the stranger. Ah well. She was too lazy to retract back. It wasn't like she's gonna meet him again any time soon.

Lloyd stood there without moving as the Creep was slowly dying and only totally stood up when it had fully dissipated and only ashes were left. He folded his lance afterward before sheathing it in its pouch on his belt while the plates on his coat seemed to fold back in the coat, returning its look to the simple long white coat it's usual in.  He looked at the girl a moment as she seemed unscathed by the fight, even though she had a Creep biting her arm earlier.

The girl then started to walk toward him and started to stare at him with a strange look on her face. "Is she... analyzing me? Don't tell me she's like Richard and she's looking for any weaknesses... I hope not really, on is enough..." Lloyd took the time to look at her as well, because, since she was doing it, why not him too? The things that he noticed more were her hair, her eyes and her weapon as he thought that she was pretty and that she was also pretty skilled with those guns of hers. Not that he thought that pretty girls can't be competent Huntresses of course.

As she turned around in order to leave, she thank him for the "help" and simply left, without even giving her name. Talking of names, she got his wrong once again. "Lloyd... the name's Lloyd..." He sighed and smile before heading back where he left his bike in order to return to the academy. He had killed the Grimm from the report he had, so it was a good day.
