In the middle of the Skylight Clearing today, there is a makeshift arena, velvet rope liked together in a large circle. This is the very arena where This year's SpringFest tournament will be held.

Use any weapons, dust, or semblances you currently have. Because this is a smaller tournament, the first one to make three hits will be dubbed the winner. Weapon durability will not decrease with this tournament, and Dust will be replenished after the battle.

Go have fun and may the best Hunter/Huntress/Warrior win.

Aero

Aero
Aero cracked her neck as she arrived at the arena. She heard a tournament was going on today, and she wanted to be the first to apply. Aero knew that this was a chance for her to reach perfection. This tournament could change her whole school life. Well, maybe some parts, but there would be a change to it, right? The money, the fame, all the glory. Now, Aero wasn't really expecting herself to gain any fans or appear on TV, explaining what it's like to feel famous all around Bellmuse. That would be a little TOO much to expect, but it would be delightful for that to happen. This just rather gave Aero a lot of thoughts. Famous thoughts. She can see it now: she would thank her instructor, her family, and disrespect all the schools at her home kingdom that didn't accept her in.

And so, there she was, in her regular battle attire with her large staff high and ready, and thus, waiting for her opponent to arrive.

Savalith

Savalith
Stepping into the ring Savalith was prepared for any match given to him. This was probably one of the most exiting events that has happened to him so far. Normally the only opponents Savalith would ever be able to fight are the grimm but today was a day where he could test his true strength against multiple opponents. He had been itching for a fight that could make him stronger, a fight where he'd be able to duel opponents with far greater experience than him. Savalith did not want the fame or glory he'd receive from winning this tournament. Instead he wanted the experience, to become stronger, to have meaningful and endeavoring matches which he could learn from. Today was going to be one of the most rewarding day's for Savalith until he saw his opponent standing across him.

Out of all the people that Savalith could of faced, it had to be a woman. A girl no less. This was not good for Savalith's morale. Coming from a rather sexist family that didn't allow women to train in the martial arts department, Savalith also had to grow up with the rule that the man had to protect the women since they couldn't do it themselves. Hence he was also given the golden rule to never hit a woman no matter what the cost. If he did then it would be a massive stigma on Savalith's pride. Even in a situation like this where the crowd roars for blood within the tournament, he would still have to follow the way of his family's ruling and try to win this fight without injuring the girl in front of him. Savalith sighed in disappointment as he stared at the girl thinking of ways on how he'd go about this without directly attacking her.

Aero then stopped, as she noticed someone entering in the ring. It was nothing more than just a boy. This wouldn't be too bad, though she didn't have much to say about the opponent, considering she isn't the type to talk trash of others when it comes to fighting. Sure, teasing here and there, but at times, she's just a lady. However, Aero can use large words to hide the fact that she's insulting someone, but still, maintaining her spiffy image. She then started to stare back at the boy, who was taking a long glance at the girl, and she was pretty sure this wasn't a "Staring contest" type of battle, either. "So," She then decided to break the silence that's been going on between the two. "Would you like to make the first move? Or does the old, 'ladies first', applies?" She asked. It was quite foolish for her to even bother asking that question, but she was just being nice. Plus, it was better than to rush at them like an idiot.

Savalith

Savalith
"Chivalry isn't dead. It's only natural that I'll give you the first move."

With his hands at his sides and feet apart Savalith was performing the Hachiji dachi stance in preparation for the battle. It was a basic stance used in karate where Savalith would be able to easily adjust his limb movements to perform blocks. He wasn't sure which body part his opponent would attack so this was the best thing for him to do. "My name is Savalith Qualafin Luckens. Student of Syne Academy and various hand-to-hand martial art styles." Before jumping into a fight it was just common courtesy for Savalith to to give out his full name. It was just the way how he was grown up to fight. He took one last glance at the girl as he waited for her to announce her name before he began to analyze her body movement so he could prepare a proper block and counter.

Aero

"Well, aren't you a gentleman?" Aero softly scoffed, as she flicked some hair stands away that was covering some parts of her eye. Somehow, she had a feeling she'd had a poor probability of her opponent making the first move, as for trying to analyze his moves and study the fighting style. Sadly, not everyone was a winner for what they wanted, but Aero can't really get anything in the world she desires, but only because she doesn't have the money. Though, she doubt MONEY would buy this guy her win of this match, even if she had it. Shame. At least now, she'll know what she'll do when she gets the money.

She then watched the boy get into his battle stance, as he introduced himself while so. "I suppose that's one way of introducing yourself." She said plainly, as she twirled her staff for a moment, then stood it up on the ground, while having a hard grip on it. "My name is Aero. Born into a noble family from the kingdom of Gyleo." She then introduced herself. And so, it was her turn to make the move.

Moving both her legs at a quick pace, she then started to dash right at Savalith. As soon as she was close, Aero would then inhale, then exhale, as a gush of wind shot from her mouth, propelling her in the air. As she would start falling down, she would then land behind the boy, and swing her staff aiming for the head.

Savalith

Savalith
"A Bōjutsu user, huh? Been a while since I last faced one."

Savalith exclaimed as he saw Aero take out her staff while preparing herself. With the introductions over the girl had made her move and started to run towards Savalith. The speed of Aero's running ability and the sudden breathe of air that helped her jump over Savalith had surprised him as he still didn't know what the girls fighting capabilities were. At least from that he could tell that she was much faster than the average person and that she must be hiding some wind dust somewhere on her. There could be other ways to explain her sudden breathe of air, but this wasn't the time to think about that. With Aero jumping over Savalith, he made a quick decision to block the top of his body since the girl was literally in mid-air and an attack from above was the most likely case. "Shotoken Style: Age-Uke" Age-Uke: A block technique used in the martial arts of karate which protects the head with the users wrist. The words Age-Uke literally meant 'rising block' where Savalith would rise his wrist from his side and advance it forward towards his head to protect it. Thanks to the mechanisms of this karate-style technique Savalith was able to perform this move in less then a second, and because Aero had landed on the ground behind him before she struck her staff down, it gave Savalith enough time to twist his entire body towards her while performing his block.

In any normal case this block could of caused Savalith some damage towards his wrist but because he was wearing his gauntlets to protect his arms against the staff Savalith reduced the damaged taken to zero. Within a second of blocking the staff with his wrist Savalith was able to grab it with his hand and push it down towards his side. At this position Savalith would be able to easily pull the staff backward so that he could also try to pull Aero forward towards him. If this had happened then Savalith would be able to execute an attack with his other hand while Aero was holding onto her staff. He had one hand pulling the staff backward and the other advancing towards Aero for a palm strike towards her chest region. He made sure not to aim for her head as she would easily be able to move it so she could avoid the attack, but an attack that was aimed straight at the body would prove more difficult to avoid. If this move were to be prosecuted correctly however, than Savalith would of held his hand back just a little bit before hitting Aero. Savalith still had the 'never hit a woman' principle glued onto him so if possible he wanted to see if not hitting Aero could still be considered a 'strike' even if he never actually harmed her.
