Ember & Shadow [Hunt]

An armored frame was resting against a tree as a light breeze slowly started to roll over the area making the branches move slightly as the air was filled by the sound of leaves moving in the wind. The cloth parts of the armor moved with the breeze as a heavy sigh was released from the helmet, it had been a decent journey but Lothric had been having a nagging feeling in his bones for the entire trip and it was starting to affect his peace of mind more then he wanted. Looking over his surroundings once more he couldn't help but shake the uneasy feeling this area gave him and that which at first had caused him to stop was now almost screaming at him to move as far away from here that he could. Either way he should get a move on so that he would reach Bellmuse before long, not that there was any situation or such demanding his attention but Lothric just did not want to spend any more time here due to the feeling he had.

Moving away from the tree Lothric grabbed his sword and attached the sheath to his side as he rested his left hand on the hilt of Sanctus Ignis, returning his thoughts to the current journey kept him from completely focusing on the uneasy feeling but it was still there like a gnawing wound slowly festering. Another heavy sigh as his voice broke the simple silence beyond the leaves and cloth rustling in the wind "I doth swear, tis quite the bother tho I understand mine own self and the paranoia mine mind can make unto itself should I allow it such."

Even so he kept moving for a while until he reached a slight clearing where it held enough place for him to set up camp should he wish to do such but for now Lothric would simply focus upon his surroundings as he closed his eyes and focused upon the sounds. Then it became clear to him, he was followed for some time and the breaking of fallen branches and stomping on leaves fallen to the ground had alerted him, now his choices was easy.

Lothric could either wait for his enemies to attack first or he could enter a defensive stance and ready himself for the inevitable clash of fire, steel and whatever means his opponent would bring forth. Making a quick judgment he slowly walked to the center of the clearing and in one fluid motion unsheathed Sanctus Ignis and entered into his normal defensive stance, readying himself for battle.

The boarbatusk followed the armored figure through the forest,not bothering to be careful when stepping on fallen tree branches and leaves. When the hunter got to the clearing,he seemed to be alerted to his presence and took a defensive stance. The grimm let out a loud snort and charged towards the hunter,ramming its tusks into the hunters armor. They than started their infamous roll and charged at the hunter again even faster than before,aiming at the hunter's head. Helmet or not the thing wants to break the hunter's skull. It brought its tusk up to where the hunter's face would be and moved its head up sporadically,attempting to stab the hunter with its sharp tusks. It dropped down to the ground on purpose or if it misses. It backed away from the hunter and their weapon. It brought its tusks towards the ground,digging them in the ground a little bit and let out out another loud snort.

Hearing the loud snort instantly made Lothric focus upon the Boarbatusk which had started to charge at him, remembering the previous encounter on the beach Lothric chuckled as he waited for the gap to close and leaped to the side avoiding the first charge. Due to the beach fight he knew that it would attempt another charge and this time it would most likely be rolling for added momentum and impact, readying himself for the impact he noticed that it suddenly aimed for his head, lowering his stance and lifting his blade Lothric managed to deflect the blow but he would have to be careful about such attacks in the future.

He then threw himself backwards as the tusked once more aimed at his head, landing into a roll he managed to get back his footing before regaining sight of the Grimm. Hmm, that was a close one. Alright, restrict movement and then go for the legs and belly. These kind of thoughts raced through his head and it was not long after that he ignited his blade by moving his gauntlet over the magnesium strip and utilizing the sparks to create fire.

Charging at the Grimm Lothric unleashed a bolt of fire towards it aiming for the head hoping the impact of the fire would disorientate the creature.
Using the fire for cower he swung his sword in a horizontal line aiming for the creatures legs so that it would be less likely to charge at him, taking advantage of the force behind his swing he used it by allowing himself to continue the swing into a circular motion and unleashing another horizontal swing, this time aimed for just beneath the jaw. Finishing the swing Lothric utilized the last remaining force of the swing in an upwards slash aiming for the belly of the Boarbatusk.

The grimm wasn't prepared for the bolt to head or the slice to the legs. It was able to move out the way before the other attacks. The bolt might daze it but hitting it in the bone armor won't do much. This Boartabusk is experienced after many battles,obvious by the countless scar marks and marks in its bone armor. The grimm dug its tusks deeper into the dirt and charged forward,creating marks deep in the ground. It pulled up its tusks and launched dirt,gravel,and small rocks at the hunter. It jumped up at the hunter again and bit down on the hunter's head. It held on to the hunters skull and flailed around only letting go after a while. It spanned again and charged at the hunter's legs,attempting to trip them. It then went under the hunter's legs and brought its tusks up right into the hunter's crotch. It stayed under there to make it harder for the hunter to hit it.

Focusing upon the frame of the Grimm and the damage it had sustained both in this battle and the previous encounters, this caused Lothric to grow rather angry at the Boarbatusk when he thought about how many people it must have killed or injured and the fear it had caused others. Noticing how the creature was charging him again and this time it would throw a bit of gravel and small rocks while doing so, while it being a futile effort on the Grimms part as encased in armor as he was the small objects had no impact on him, thus allowed to continue his focus on the creature he managed to dodge under the leap the creature had to do to reach his head. Turning around he barely avoided the second charge and had to leap backwards once more to avoid the sudden follow up the Grimm had intended.

Letting out a heavy sigh Lothric was getting more and more annoyed by this creature and he would love to just set it ablaze and leave it to burn but as a Student of Syne he had to be certain it was dead and dead it would soon be.

Igniting more flames around his sword Lothric lifted the blade upwards as the fire swallowed the blade and his arms, rushing towards the Grimm he rushed past it before doing a horizontal swing aiming for the lower part of it's body, utilizing the momentum of the swing Lothric managed to adjust the blade to go in a sideways upwards swing aiming for the back legs in an attempt to do major damage towards them.

As the blade finished the swing he chuckled as the fire which covered it and his arms blasted forth towards the spine of the Boarbatusk aiming to use the force of the blast to smash it into the ground as he followed up with a downwards swing of his sword towards the exact area the fire had aimed for.

The boarbatusk was tired of getting slashed. As the man was preparing to fire another fireball,the boar charged at him again,getting faster and faster as it goes. It charged into the hunter,before turning its head and snagging its tusks on the hunter's leg. It pulled its tusks hard enough to trip them. It then bit down on the hunter's head and held on their tight. It bit down harder and pulled on the hunter's head. It only let go when it was tired of pulling on their head and elected to spin around the hunter. It kept doing its infamous roll around the hunter,trying to confuse them. It kept rolling until it suddenly jumped high into the air and charged down at the hunter,but instead of hitting them with its tusks,the tusks got snagged on the hunter's arms and pulled them down. It kept pulling,trying to pull the hunter with it.

Lothric managed to avoid getting snagged into the tusks of the grimm but his leg was hit by the side of it and caused him to stumble backwards slightly and let out a slightly pained grunt. Avoiding the bite he leaped backwards far as he could while keeping his gaze on the grimm before letting out a heavy sigh, he was starting to take hit and it couldn't end up as a battle of attrition due to the chance of more attackers suddenly bursting forth. Looking as the Boatbatusk started to roll around him Lothric raised his sword in a defensive manner by angling it 45 degrees from his waist outwards while aiming the tip of the blade upwards, then he saw the creature jump into the air before aiming for him, while normally Lothric might have avoided the blow he was more interested in destroying this thing.

Moving to the side and in doing so avoiding the grimms attack Lothric used the momentum of the grimm to launch a sideways swing aiming for the exposed side just beyond the neck and attempted to cut the creature from neck to hind legs. When the two had passed one another Lothric let his left hand go of the hilt and opened his palm while aiming it at the behind of the grimm as he gathered another fireball and launched it at the grimm attempting to make the impact send the Boarbatusk crashing into the ground. After doing so he charged at it and leaped into the air for the last meter and aimed a stab just in between the grimms shoulders, using the movement he would attempt to tear the blade from the point of impact and slice the back of the grimm as well.
