Shadow in White (Open Hunt)

Ash's job working at taverns as a bartender paid well enough but for a Hunter the hunt was equally an experience and a pay off and he was curious having arrived to Bellmuse but know little of their Grimm or their terrain layout. He was familiarizing himself with the finneck forest but the mixture of snow and cold weather would make hunting down Grimm a challenge if they were smart to hide in the silhouette of trees. Rather new to this area Ash didn't feel he should go alone and had posted a few paper scrolls to various locations of the school seeking out a few partners to meet him at a large gnarled tree facing east of the long steps that lead away from the Academy. There Ash hoped he would meet his partners in this task not shy to share the wealth or get to know the students who attended the school as he did.

Checking once more his equipment he had wished he saved some money for some Dust but Ash had already spent enough of his wealth on his campsite and school. Testing the wrist sheath on his left sleeve of this leather jacket he tested Negro Cero's unsheathing latch making sure it was easily accessible for combat. The irony of the fallen fresh snow and the snow flakes falling about him made him seem like a single black shadow amidst a flurry of white dust. His silver hair almost blending into the snow thankfully his shades kept the snow from blinding him as he check the time. The crisp cold air had a slight breeze coming from the north taking that to account Ash hoped the Grimm they chase would be fair game. for the time being Ash removed a book on Dust he got from Teacher Skittles seeing if any applications of her lessons would be useful once he had purchase some dust.

Hearing a loud voice Rock would look to Benkei's direction the man himself was clad in leather from the foot up. Pulling up his sunglasses he would look Benkei over not sizing him up but more analytically as if analyzing him. Satisfied closing the book Ash figured it be best to give him a strong response stepping away from leaning on the tree.

Approaching Benkei he offer hand responding back in kind. "Yo. Name's Rock. good to meet a fellow hunter braving the a challenge in the weather."

Ash wasn't the strongest looking hunter he was lean and masculine but he gave off a confidant demeanor. It was clear he was calculating and there was no sign of a weapon on him. Gesturing to the tree he went to his duffel bag and removing a box of matches clearing a spot from snow revealing a campfire and took some twigs and branches from the tree to start a small fire.

"I prefer one more Hunter to be safe. No need to share your abilities I'm confident we can work together to snag a few bounties. I prefer the covert and up close let me know what you like to do and I'll come up with some plan if you like."

Bad luck seemed to be a constant companion to Kairi these days. Having just moved to the Bellmuse Center from her small town she wasn't able to get into the dorms just yet thanks to the school winter break. If she had known the academy would have been letting student go home for the break, she would have waited till moving. She was now having to live out of a hotel room till her dorm matter could be taken care of. Thankfully, she was fairly used to this from the times she used to tour with her band, but she was faced with another major dilemma. Boredom!

That was until she happen upon a scroll on one of her "walks" around the school ground. It seemed someone was taking on a hunt and was asking for backup. Making her pause for a moment contemplating her options. She really didn't need to money since she had saved up far more than she really even knew what to do with. Yet, there was something far more important in this that she needed and something was experiencing.

"The big old gnarl tree is the meeting spot." She said with a smile, giving a quick flash of her fangs before turning and floating off toward the meet up.

With her ax on her back Kairi quickly made her way across the ground as she hovered a few inches off the top of the snow. She dress a bit lighter today with only some black boots, jeans along with a thick red and black flannel jacket. Along with a pair of dark sunglasses and beige sun hat to keep as much the sun off as she could. She looked more like a lumbjack than a once Rockstar and that was just the way she wanted it. Off in the distance she soon spotted two young men meeting up at the tree. The first one, most likely the one who puts up the scroll, was reading a book and the second with the bat was a giant to her before she even reached them. "Yooooo!" She followed the taller one greeting with her own. "This the meet up, right?" She asked, coming to a stop a few feet from the two continuing to float.

First the guy with the bat now a female that floated there were all sorts it seems other than Ophelia but this wasn't something concerning Ash if anything it intrigued him. Seeing the Ax on her back reminded him of the days he use to play in his band. seeing she also did a similar greeting he raised his hand having started a fire seems old scroll work draws attention ash had to keep that in mind in the future.

"Yo, name's Rock. Thank for coming to the tree was just introducing myself. Don't need to stress on what your abilities are just how you like to fight and i'll come up with a plan. Simply put I hope you like hunting down Grimm kind of wondering how Grimm here fair differently than home but winter is a different scene for me."

Standing up right chin in the air letting his sunglasses cover his face he spoke from underneath the jet black scarf that masked the bottom of his face. He appeared like a leather jacket clad rock star ninja. Giving Kairi a nod he gesture to the fire in front of him he got going knowing the two may be cold.

Ash didn't have much to offer but her pulled a small pot from his duffel bag and tossed a few pieces of jerky and opened a small carton of beef broth pouring it in. "If you have questions or suggestions speak up i don't mind when it comes to work."

As he got closer to the man he noticed he was wearing a all leather suit which made Benkei kind of chuckle internally. It was too cold for that shit or maybe he had some form of heat based power that kept him warm during the winter time. Maybe he was just trying to look cool regardless it was a bit silly to just be in all leather that hugged the skin like that. However, he wasn't one to judge as his outfit looked like he fell out of a old school gangster movie. Each person to their own right? He heard the name Rock and it was followed by a calm tone of the voice. “Eh more so just bored after Christmas. The name is Benkei.” He didn't care how strong how people look a lot of the time because people put up a false bravado. Only during combat would their actions truly show their strength. Rock took it upon himself to create a small fire while they waited to see if anyone else was coming to hunt. The fire flickered to life in the matter of minutes as the man did the primitive action of rubbing sticks together. This showed that the man had no sort of heat manipulation powers available to him. Benkei took note of this at that very moment.

“Doesn't make a difference to me just stay out of my way when the action starts. As for a plan just keep hitting the fuckers until they stop moving is my plan.”

Blunt and to the point. This was just the way Benkei was when it came to dealing with things. Brute force, force your way through. Only when that has no effect is when the planning starts. Benkei squatted down next to the fire with his arms resting on his upper thighs. He watched the embers dance around in the midst of the flames that warmed his body. His eyes cut over to a female voice that announced her presence. He turned slightly to get a look at her. He noticed right away she was floating above the ground. It wasn't much of a shocker considering the things Benkei has encountered throughout his life time. Maybe it was apart of her power she was able to do such a thing. He turned back to the fire and just spoke his name. “Benkei.”

He didn't care to listen to the rest of what Ash had to say because it was pretty much a repeat. He knew what he came to do. Kick ass and chew gum. He was all out of gum.

Well, wasn't these a barrel of fun Kairi though floating closer the fire before taking a sitting position in the air. So the one clad in leather was named Rock and the gangster was Benkei. Looking at these two Kairi felt like maybe she underdressed for this hunt. It almost felt like the start of some kind of joke. A ninja, a gangster and a vampire walk into a bar? This thought made her smile a bit before responding to Rock.

"I'l Kairi, but you can just call me Kai if you like." Said looking over the two. From the way Benkei talked, he was most likely a powerhouse fighter. The kind that just rushes in and hit the target till is stop moving. It was more or less like her own style, mostly since she works better at making plans on the spot. While Rock seemed to be the type that want to plan this out before starting. This should be interesting to see how this group works.

"It depends on the type of Grimm's we'll be hunting out there.... You do know what type we'll hunt right?" Asked wondering what kind the job was for. This would help determine her own style, but in the end. "But in the end, I'll have to agree with Benkei here. Hit them till they stop is always a good way to start."

Ash smirked a little he couldn't ask for any better partners than this. Benkei's direct approach and fighting style was suitable enough and winging it was always fun to do as long as they had the strength to back it up. He wasn't as prepared as he like to be for himself but he called the hunt and even though he wasn't a leader or feeling like he owed anything to them he was a man who took responsibility of his actions and his charges. Pulling at the long neck long johns under his scarf the ninja looking leather rock star rose looking at the two seeing introductions were done lifting two heavy mugs from his duffel bag and pouring the meaty make shift soup into each offering it to them.

"Cool, winging it is fine by me. Dunno what Grimm is out there but sure we can kick something out of the snow."

Not feeling to be elaborate and following the view of the other two short and to the point would be simple enough. If Benkei was the guy directly attacking and not wanting anyone in his way it suited his stealthy striker style. Removing a parchment from his bag and getting a mug for himself he look over the map he had made himself of the area pointing to the south west.

"There's a groove some miles away we can check it out see if thier any wandering Grimm near the school and clear them out for the students safety. Just because we're on winter break doesn't mean the Grimm will be too."

Polishing off his soup he gather his thing and drop snow on the fire not wasting anymore of their time to go on this hunt. The yearn for battle was rising and these hunter were coming to the party.
