(The idea of this thread is to hold multiple scenario's, both solo, and not. At the end of a scenario it will become inactive, and at the beginning it will reactivate. I don't plan to be deleting this any time soon.)

Yin sat, pouring over a small chemistry set in her room. The heaviest music she could find shook the air in the room. There was much to be desired in the less forgiving sounds the world had to offer. It suited her lifestyle just fine. That is to say, less that forgiving.

In a small vial, she mixed a thick purple substance. It was a simple plan. Make dust infused nail polish. Just one more little nasty trick to store up her sleeve. But that was nothing compared to next act of strategy she had up her sleeve. It was going to hurt, but odds are, it would save her life one day. Besides. A lot of what she'll be doing would hurt. It was only a matter of time before she was more dust than human.

Yín creaked open the door to her long vacant dorm, flicking the lights on with a mental sigh. Everything was more or less in place. Maybe someone came looking for her. Perhaps that koala kid came to steal note. She couldn't place a finger on what exactly had been tampered with, it had simply been to long. Just a hunch in the back of her mind that not everything was the way it should be. Or, maybe that was simply the fact that she never should have left in the first place. Either way, it was impossible for her to know.

Entering the room, she leaned to sift through her old CDs. Her books. Her movies. Maybe she left to get away from all these this she was growing to miss. It was certainly distracting her from her work. She glanced over to her work desk. She was certain. The tray of fake moulders would have confused and terrified someone if they didn't know they were a dust substitute, and not a sick tooth fairy hobby. Her hand wandered to her face, feeling the implant with a slight sensation of lost humanity. Perhaps the idea wasn't what she fancied at all. Or maybe she should sleep on it, and worry about more of the same tomorrow.

What was this? The air was still. Dry. Somehow or another, vacant. The ground was touch-less, and yet the cobblestone walls of this new hallway seemed especially cold, even without ever touching them. She was there in front of herself. More of herself, or just a part. Potential, or a fraction screaming for recognition.

"How often do you contemplate the result of your actions?" Began the mirrored stare. Even in a non-lucid condition, it didn't take much to realize this was a dream, but it didn't make it less important of an interaction. "Always." She spoke in a plain tone, matching the cut-and-dry attitude of her counterpart."Bad, or only good? Perhaps you've realized that your actions aren't for you alone." Cold, but not necessarily incorrect. She contemplated on self sacrifice. If she was worth not doing it simply because, or if being able to do it would make her deserve not to. It seemed to lead into a couple of circles before settling on this. She simply had to. "It's not so simple. Monsters are born the same way hero's are." She retorted, crossing her arms in defiance as the other did so in misplaced frustration. "Then what was this great underwhelming effort for? Did you come here to be a hero, or to make an actual difference?" She had caught her own tongue. Like she said, it wasn't as simple as words might make it out to be. After all, what would something like this do to her humanity. Even without taking but a step, it was taking a toll. Even conceptually speaking, forging yourself in such an artificial way dilutes a gift such as like. In human hands these things become miracle's, or the very worst of disastrous abominations. "In this case they are the same. The path of ouroboros leads us nowhere." She decided.

A hero makes a difference, and those who make a difference are, more often than not, heroes in someone's eyes.

A distorted grin grew, regressed, flickered to life onto the aberrations face. Her eyes lit, flying wide in a shade of red. "You recognize your cycle then?" She heckled. Yín's mouth went slightly agape in surprise at the quickly distorting figure before her. This world was chains. This world was purgatory. This world was her own heart.

"What point are you trying to make?" Yín would ask with a stern tone, and an expression to match. It's grin was a wide, toothy smile by now. It was a look Yín didn't even know she could make. "I want you to break a cycle for us. Tell me what dust is." Yín couldn't help a whole hearted laugh. To think she needed to ask herself a question like that. Her eyes and mouth opened to answer the question, but her voice fell dry, flat, useless. "Oh my. Look what I've done." The voice wrang. So that's why she sounded so familiar.
