Gawain Egret

Gawain Egret
Falling upon the final key of the piece, the boy lowered his head and arms, calmly exhaling, all in one smooth motion. His eyes likened themselves to the piano's surface while his mind lingered on the finished piece. As bright, motivational, and filling as it was, the song was only but a song, and, as the boy turned to face the rest of the room, little did they acknowledge him. Though, the conclusion was as expected. After all, it was the same result as before, of course, and he himself knew that his presence wasn't enlightening or enjoyable to many others. A life of a mute was hard, but such a life was his, and he wasn't ever willing to give up on it; he wasn't willing to give up on the people that mattered in his life.

Raising his head with a light smile, Gawain examined the current residents of the room and the new appearances. The girl and Orion fared well with one another, and Xavier's politeness glimmered past his dark appearance. However, Xavier's handling of the sudden newcomer's appearance was rather less than pleasant to the mute boy. Gawain was practically ready to intervene, but he preferred against disturbing the peace of the Host Club. The boy just hoped that Xavier wasn't too harsh to the newcomer.

Nevertheless, even as he wished for peace to be withheld, a sudden outburst from a brash and harsh student unleashed itself upon the room, targeted towards Orion of all people. The situation was unfavorable, enough to cause the boy to stand in fear of chaos, but his leader was able to calm the situation rather quickly; Orion's social skills were admirable. Still, with Orion taking care of the small girl himself, Avy by Lloyd, the new appearance had the choice of Xavier, himself, or she could even leave.

The latter choice was taken by the earlier settler unfortunately. Waving him goodbye, Gawain hoped that Xavier wasn't too harsh on the boy, but, as theirs was a host club for the female sex, male entrants were expected to be slightly admonished. Although, with the appearance of yet another of their hosts, a wave to him as well, the brash girl had yet another host to choose from if she so desired. However, with Lloyd leaving with Avy to continue their discussion on their own, Gawain waved them away with a light smile before once more focusing on the girl. Arms flat against his legs, head raised, back straight, lips calm, body welcome, Gawain waited to see her next act before acting.

OOC:

Alex had been sitting off to the side, keeping an eye on Lucy and her host, Orion. On the surface Alex seemed to be a little uneasy, but that was because he was feeling a little edgy. Though he couldn't understand why he was feeling this way. Lucy was just talking with a young man that was politely waiting on her. He was following Alex's instructions on to take it slow, and Lucy actually seemed to be happy about it all. Communicating with others then the professor would be good for her... so why the heck was he feeling so uneasy about the whole situation? It wasn't like he was watching his daughter go on her first date... oh wait... was that it? Had he developed a strong enough connection to Lucy that he was viewing her as a daughter now instead of just some student he was supposed to be looking after? Now that would be ironic to say the least!

Alex almost smiled and chuckled to himself. So this is what it was like to be a father; you worried a about your child, weather they were safe or not. Alex had always figured that his mother was constantly worried about him while he was growing up because he was growing up on what was basically a forced labor camp for faunus and he was the only human that was being forced to work along side the faunus... though now Alex wondered if there was more to his mother's concern then that. Did all parents worry about their children so? If yes then that would answer a lot of questions that he never had a chance to ask her.

A small scream that sounded like Lucy quickly roused Alex from his thoughts and he looked up to see another female student, this one dressed in black armor and having fiery red hair, holding Lucy's host by the throat! What the heck was that for? Alex was still close enough to hear their conversation and overheard what she was saying to him. She wanted him to fight her because he was the leader of the host club? This was a place of relaxation, not conflict! This wasn't going to fly. A second later Alex recognized the woman as Octavia, one of the more hot headed students.

Alex stood up, walked over with long strides so he seemed to get over there in only a few steps, and grabbed Octavia's wrists tightly while a few small glowing emerald vines grew out from Alex's wrists. Alex gave Octavia a stern look while those vines started to loosen the attacker's grip on Orion's neck so he'd fall out of her grip. He grip on her wrists were like a vice. "That is enough. This is a host club, not a combat arena. Let him go." Alex stated with a stern tone that would send shivers down the spines of anyone who had a weak or even somewhat strong constitution. Against Octavia however at most it would only amuse her. At least it would get her attention away from Orion, and therefore away from Lucy. At that thought Alex gave Lucy a wink before turning back to Octavia. "I'd suggest you cool off before you do something you'll regret, like make this professor mad."

"Rude enough to forget? Says the girl that can't get my name right unless having it right under her nose. And I'm pretty sure I would have remembered your name, I tend to remember those I hunt with, especially when they kill birds in their bikini." Lloyd looked half annoyed half amused. She was clearly messing with him, yet he was sure that she hadn't gave him her name yet and that little trickery wasn't working. At least none was mad at the other for neither knowing their names, even though it was he fault in both cases.

As she said that she wasn't expecting him to reply, Lloyd gave her a little scoff while taking a sip of tea. "Don't ask questions that you either don't want or aren't ready for answers, even if it's for fun, many will answer without second thoughts, for good or bad... like me." When he asked her a question back, he smiled as he saw her face, visibly surprised by the topic he chose. As she decided to turn around the situation by asking him whatever he was talking about, he took back a sip of tea with a grin. "So, afraid to answer directly? I won't fall for that innocent look on your face. Either answer or I'll call you a chicken until you do." Maybe taunting her wasn't the best option, but Lloyd was certain that it was going to be funny.

And funny was what would be required as the situation seemed to get worse in the rest of the room, with what seemed like a fight was about to break out between Orion and a tall lady in "armor" that had just entered the club. Sure it could be a nice fight to watch, but Lloyd wasn't here for that neither was his client so he would stay out of it only hoping it wouldn't cause too much problem.
